  1. Perhaps that dipshit is the exception, but the whole "self made" thing is generally a crock of shit. The 400 wealthiest Americans own more wealth than half of all Americans combined and over 70 percent of the Forbes richest 400 Americans grew up in substantial privilege. I didn't work with said dipshit directly, but I have worked in the Permian for years and have done projects for Double Eagle. In my limited experience with them, they hire dipshits who are their buddies and those dispshits have no clue how to run a drilling operation. To be fair, at least two of them were up front that they were dipshits.
  2. Right. As soon as it's financially viable to pay the exit fees, 3-4 schools are going to bounce and that is going to be well before 2036.
  3. What is the criteria? If it's total championships it goes UCLA (11), Kentucky (8), UNC (6) and then UConn, Duke and Indiana have 5 each. Kansas has 4. If it's total championships but recency is more important (last 24 years), I'd put UConn at #1 with 5 titles, Duke & UNC tied in second with 3 each.
  4. Yeah, he's way too black. Not as black as flavor flav
  5. I looked this once and I'm certain they are real
  6. Pretty sure I saw a dinosaur rush the field
  7. Pretty sure he is available after going 4-26 at USF.
  8. "Duke's never beat a top 25 team to start a season until now" That would require most of the ACC to have a pulse.
  9. "most games are lost, not won" Excuses for Clemson out in full force
  10. I'm sure the name "Davey" was just fine in the 1910s. Today, it's best suited for a Disney movie or something on the Hallmark channel.
  11. 5'8" is close enough, so I'll throw Barry Sanders out there. A generational talent that would succeed in any era.
  12. I assume that is because of an established local rivalry. That's the way those types of games often go. I don't think games like that can give us much of a read on the future. I've seen plenty of 'bad' teams play a better team very close and it makes people wonder what happened - except for those 'in' that rivalry who know better. That's part of the beauty of college football and it's something that cross-country conferences and realignment is chipping away at.
  13. KSU seems like they are in good hands. WVU is going sideways - Neal will get fired if they don't hit at least 7 wins. OU obliterated a once-proud Arkansas St program, which has fallen on hard times the past few seasons. KU beat a high school team. Utah has QB problems but good defense. tcu has no defense. Baylor will be hiring a new coach in 2 years. ISU - can't get a read on them from the high school team they played. I didn't watch byu/cincy/cougar high or ucf
  14. Absolutely. I sometimes wonder if the data would be useful for betting on CFB.
  15. All of those wins meant nothing. They didn't even win the conference. Then they got smashed by Georgia in the worst MNC loss in history. There's no banner going up on their stadium for the wins, unless they are going to pull an aggy and make up a conference title or something.
  16. The Bay Area is all about pro sports. You have the 49ers, Giants, Warriors and to a lesser extent the Raiders when they weren't in LA. There's some interest in the colleges, but the interest isn't there when compared to BFE college towns where CFB is the only game in town and the whole work week is spent planning the tailgate and how to fuck a 2nd cousin.
  17. The post that keeps on giving...
  18. I get it. However, best time to practice is a game like this...
  19. More examples of "great" Big 10 football. Why people tune into that shit and in turn, how they get those massive TV deals is beyond my understanding.
  20. Wisconsin's 'air raid' is looking like ass vs. Buffalo. To be fair, it's a major change for that program and you cannot change your personnel overnight. Unless Deion is your coach
