Some sleuth on another board figured out the play he was studying. Go to the 10:17 mark.

I'm bullish on Sark but articles like this make me nervous. There was (reportedly) a different vibe from Mack to Charlie. There was (reportedly) a different vibe from Charlie to Herman. Now there's (reportedly) a different vibe... again. It's like Chip is saying "No no we promise it's different this time!"

    I really hope it is.

The most telling piece of that article was when players didn't "come to Herman’s defense. Not one.”  They certainly did for Charlie.  I'm sure they did for Mack as well, but social media wasn't as prevalent and I don't remember.

Oh, it’s broken down alright. I knew it wasn’t worth my time. I don’t owe you shit regarding your mouthbreather question as it wasn’t what I engaged on in the first place. It’s clear the premise of a red herring is lost on you and I can’t, in good faith, engage in actual football dialogue with someone that posts wearing clown makeup from a padded room.

Cool, you win.  Congratulations!  Your time must be very, very valuable spending it here.  Send me an invoice for your services and carry on.  I'll take the L if it means I no longer have to wallow in mud with you.

Good lord, this doesn't even look like it's worth the fucking minor effort.

Your rhetorical shit is weak and you post all retarded. I didn't say anything of the sort around Smith being "the least separation creator on the team", nor did I imply it. You took the challenge of someone calling out the premise that he actually got regular separation, which he didn't get in 2020, and chose to respond first with a red herring by trying to redirect the conversation with a new premise, unrelated to the original issue. That bullshit maneuver got called on you, so you then respond with hyperbole, which is akin to name-calling in a conversation when you've lost leverage of the logical direction and need to yet again redirect. At the same time, you also bitched that the other poster somehow lacks merit in their position because they had the temerity to ignore your original bullshit tactic in the first place.

Do yourself a favor and just admit that you like Jake Smith because ... reasons, and that you don't have a fucking clue when it comes to evaluating separation or route running and that you used those terms because you hear them when people talk about WRs and you thought it would legitimize your take about Smith being a potential 2021 All-American. (Also, Jake Smith as a 2021 All-American - HOLY FUCKING SHIT!)

Or maybe you could show up with proofpoints that we can buy into around his great route running and separation skills. I watched a guy that was actually criticized by announcers for shitty route running this season, who was rarely open except in either blown coverage or broken plays. Maybe I missed some shit and his banana routes were drawn up by Herman and Yurcich and it was all on purpose.

Lolz.  You're something else.  I had to bold it for you in case you missed your hypocrisy.  And, you're asking for "proofpoints".  OMFG, you do the work..

Let me break it down for you.  Conversation started as AA candidates and Moore's name popped up.  I brought up Jake's untapped potential.  I did not take the "challenge of someone calling out the premise that he actually got regular separation".  I asked who on the team consistently creates separation, not implying he does.  Ya know, to show me who's potentially better at running routes.

So, I'll ask you again but make it easier for you:  who on this team has shown the ability to create separation at a college level?  Let's start there.  Or, you can just resort to name calling and hypocrisy.

Why would I say that there is one and what does that have to do with the point you attempted to insert, which was that Jake Smith actually did get separation?

Do you know what a red herring is? I'll stay online with bated breath.

Ok,  Jake Smith never, ever once created separation.  You're right.  He's the least separation creator on the team.  Go ahead and dodge the question I asked because it's not relevant to your conversation.

I'm hardly a WR evaluation expert, but it seems to me the best route runner, fastest WR on the team, and "guy who can create separation" wouldn't pull complete-game disappearing acts where he never seemed to be very open at any point.

I get where you're coming from.  I expected a lot more from him.  I'm no expert either, but I've seen him run routes that no-one else has (dig route).  Moore and perhaps Washington are as good or better route runners but the number/diversity of routes I've seen from them was very limited compared to Jake's.

What the fuck am I reading about Jake Smith being someone who can get separation and run great routes? Is this real life? Holy shit.

It's irrelevant anyway. If Jake Smith doesn't drop 15 pounds, get his quickness back, and figure out how to actually consistently catch the ball, he'll be dropped through a trap door this spring.

Who would you say on this team consistently created separation.  I'll hang up and listen.

Those two and I'd say Jamison has a decent shot at returner and not decent shot at CB. Jake Smith isn't happening but I'll throw him in because I love him

I'm with ya on Jake.  Don't expect him to be an AA next year but do think he has more untapped potential than Moore.  Jake is the best route runner on the team, perhaps even faster than Moore (his words), and can actually create separation.

Guess this is what happens when Herman's entire offense consisted of grinding Sam into a fine powder every game

Not to mention our prior's staff propensity to play the upperclassmen veterans who've earned it over talent, a la Mack Brown.  Looking at you Bijan, Collins, and Wiley.

In the past two seasons, our entire OL has pretty much remained the same throughout the season.  Which is pretty remarkable on a number of levels.

  9. Glad ya posted as I haven't seen an update on him recently.  He's still listed on the roster but how about scholarship?  Not even sure he's on campus and/or enrolled in classes (his major is listed).

@Hmmm Our cookies aren't used for anything and we do not sell user data to anyone under any circumstance. So yeah, you have been using this site for entirely free after you signed up. It's an insane concept right, almost like a really cool place to hang out that doesn't constantly try to get you to buy something or think a certain way - supported by a community of it's own users financially. What a weird concept.

What's insane is that someone would not only moderate this site but host it for free (aside from donations).  And thanks.  When I said this site wasn't free, I wasn't speaking precisely of money you earn.  Given the history of this site and not exactly respecting one's privacy (doxxing), you can see why one would want to lurk behind the doors without getting aids.

If your spiders starts tingling and you think the US stock market is gonna go wonky, instead of selling all your shit and sit on cash, consider buying a little bit of VXX.  If market shits, VXX goes up and helps offset some of your loss... and you wont have needed to liquidate your shares.

This guy speaks my languages. Thanks

oh and my friend wants to know, VXX thrives on volatility, yes? If markets going to and fro then that’s where you go.

The Texas uniform twitter account posted a picture a couple years ago of all the jerseys since the 90s, Reebok through Nike and the color was near identical which blew my mind. I'll see if I can find it.

A while back, the university or someone affiliated with Texas football said the color hasn’t changed - it’s the camera that’s changed. Or somesuch.

JFC, that run against West Virginia (midway through the video)... spin move to leave one guy within arms length grabbing air, accelerates to outrun two other guys who run into each other and drives two other MFers faces into the dirt with stiff arms; second guy got straight up abused.

So  many guys flashed greatness and it didn't work out.  This guy's the real deal.  Those are some eye popping highlights from a very small sample of carries.

And it would have been an 80 yard TD, probably the longest run of the year, had the refs not seen him "step out of bounds".  DMO even said something like the refs messed up on that play.
