  1. Them advocating violence would not have prevented that.
  2. Both burning heaters and protecting their neighborhood after LAPD abandoned them
  3. Suing them rarely will do much good. They are judgment proof. Need their department's pension to be subject to attachment.
  4. Immigrant + small business owners... decades of hard work, learning a new culture, trying to make a better life for your family in a foreign country. Respect the hell out of them.
  5. I like how old boy in the back just walks in through the unlocked door. This video has everything. Lights, psychos, Furbies, screaming babies in Mozart wigs, sunburned drifters with soap sud beards. You know, that thing when the hobo becomes a rich man, so they take that big bubble bath?
  6. There's a lot we can unpack about society in that video.
  7. What are you going to do about laundry? My parents' RV has a small washer/dryer. It is very handy on long trips.
  8. Not really. No one was hurt. And a fatty tried to grab on to a wipe blade and eats shit.
  9. Fat dude or chick eats a little concrete at the end. Prius driver made it through.
  10. Heroin was out of control in the 70s and crack was out of control in the 80s to early 90s. Plus you had stuff like Cocaine Cowboys and Mariel boat lift in Miami where Castro flushed his prisons on America and Miami went from like 15 murders a year to 500. Long sentences for drug crimes then started being a thing. Then crack and heroin got more under control. Now people are ODing on prescription drugs. But there is not the same amount of attendant gang violence/turf wars over scripts. The drug sentencing laws are absolutely racist comparing crack to powder coke. But black community leaders and the congressional black caucus were big supporters of the mandatory minimums being put in place. Because their communities were the ones being ravaged. It was bipartisan and biracial in support. I hate the war on drugs. I prefer legalization and then treating abusers who want help. It would be more humane. It would cost less. And we would not be warehousing nonviolent criminals. We could free and pardon nonviolent offenders. And have a whole lot of space for violent felons. Who, in my opinion, can largely die in jail and it would not bother me much.
  11. Not that hard with cameras and social media everywhere. And the arsonists, looters and vandals come in all colors (well, not many Asians or Indians). I get you want to make cracking down on them racial, but it really isn't. Plenty of white dickheads who live in mom's basement need to spend time in prison. End the drug war and release non-violent drug offenders. You have plenty of free space for arsonists, looters, and vandals.
  12. Violent crime is about as low as it's been in 50 years.
  13. I couldn't agree more. Collective financial punishment will work wonders.
