  1. Aggy leading for Ugwoegbu is complete bullshit built on the hopes and dreams in the Katy Aggy echo chamber. Aggy isn't recruiting him the hardest, nor do they lead. I guess he could end up there but at this point I think it's WAAAY more likely that he end up at Alabama (if they'd take him), very likely OU, and possibly TCU.

    How is this dude unranked by most of the services? He's got an excellent offer list (OU, UGA, aggy, FSU): https://247sports.com/Player/Earl-Barquet-86496

    no idea. that offer list is legit as is his HUDL. He's got little to no technique right now, it's all just natural and he's still very effective. His punch is legit and he's got long arms. His height might be a knock for some services but if they look at his wingspan they'll take that back.

  3. Aggy hosting more Top 2 guys this weekend ::

    via Hamm Lite ::

    Texas A&M has been busy hosting a ton of visitors for spring practice so far and this week's list just got some big additions. A large group of players from Pensacola High School in the Florida Panhandle will be in Aggieland on Wednesday.

    Two offensive linemen that have A&M offers will be there in tackle Adrian Medley and guard Hunter Rayburn. Medley holds close to 30 offers with Florida State and Clemson both have Crystal Ball predictions. Rayburn was offered by A&M in the middle of last month and is seeing his stock start to take off a bit.

    The other prospects that will be with the group are tight end Greg Perkins - who holds a UAB offer, wide receiver Earnest Stallworth - who has offers from Southern Miss and UAB, and linebacker/safety Najahte King.

    Again, the path to the top 2 is not littered with 3 stars and unranked kids...

    ... but the 2019 Aggy class will be.

    LMAO, not a chance in hell they get Jaquaze Sorrells or Jaleel McRae. Most of those guys they claim to be "in good shape with" are reaches but Sorrells and McRae are not going to happen.

    Aggy sunshine pumping at it's finest

    no doubt. although Hamm Lite is already in mid-season form ...

    A&M feels the Sorrells visit went very, very well. They are a legitimate player.

  5. Perroni is having a recruiting chat but nothing of value (comedic or otherwise) so far ...

    Next 3 possible commits?

    1. A lot of guys that are canddidates (Jeffery Carter, Erick Young, Marcus Stripling, etc.) want to take several visits and are waiting a bit to decide. The possible next three IMO are Braedon Mowry, Baylor Cupp and Jeffery Carter, though the timelines for the latter two have not been set.

    2) Looks like Jimbo is putting an emphasis on recruiting nationally at every position; where do we stand with the higher profiel OOS recruits and who should we keep and eye on to commit this summer?

    2. I don't think the national guys will make early commitments. A&M is going after elite guys from all over the country. Maybe somebody with fewer offers than they should have, for whatever reason, like Gio Paez or Jack Stewart, could be a candidate. As for players A&M is in good shape with, there are a bunch. QB Ryan Hilinski, DE Jaquaze Sorrells, OT Jack Stewart, DT Gio Paez, DE Earl Barquet, DE Adisa Isaac, LB Brandon Smith, LB Jaleel McRae, LB Spencer Lytle, LB Kane Patterson are a few.

    3) Which 5 recruits in the state of Texas are must gets in regards to momentum for other recruits later on in the year? Who will start getting those dominoes to fall?

    3. The lines and the secondary. OTs Kenyon Green and Javonne Shepherd, DEs Marcus Stripling and DeMarvin Leal and CBs Erick Young, Jeffery Carter and Bobby Wolfe are all very important. I think you'll see some summer decisions after players take a few officials.

  6. Cine update from 247 ::

    Lewis Cine is adapting well to his new home.

    The four-star defensive back recently made the move from Massachusetts to Texas and is enjoying his time in the Lone Star State — so much so that he is now seriously considering some of the best programs in the state.

    Cine made his first recruiting visit since arriving in the Dallas-area as he spent a few days at the University of Texas, where he watched the Longhorns practice and got an in-depth look at the program.

    “It went great overall,” Cine said. “Seeing the campus and the facilities was a major favorite part of the visit. What stood up to me was that they have some real dogs on defense and are still recruiting the top guys. And secondly, everything there is massive and new.”

    Cine also got to spend some time with Texas safeties coach Craig Naivar, who offered him as soon as he transferred to Trinity Christian Cedar Hill. The two had an opportunity to bond during his three-day stay in Austin.

    “We talked what type of defense they played and how I’d be involved,” Cine said. “I like that he is energetic, and he kept things real with me with numbers and facts and not just words.”

    Cine is high on schools further north like Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State, which is his leader at this point in the recruiting process. But Cine was quick to admit that his first visit to Texas was an eye-opener.

    So where exactly do the Longhorns stand now?

    “I’ve been very interested in UT,” Cine said. “That’s the main reason I headed there this weekend. Now, I see what the coaches are like and what type of environment I would be in. I like it.”

    Cine plans to make a return trip to Texas down the line.

    At 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, Cine is ranked as the No. 3 safety and No. 37 overall prospect in the country, per 247Sports Composite.

  7. so looks like there's gonna be quite a few dudes on campus tomorrow/this weekend. In addition to the guys we already knew or are already on campus ::

    4 * Mater Dei (Calif.) wide receiver Braedin Huffman-Dixon

    4* Austin Bowie wide receiver Elijah Higgins

    4* Calabasas (Calif.) wide receiver Mycah Pittman

    4* Junipero Serra (Calif.) cornerback Max Williams

    4* IMG Academy (Fla.) wide receiver Josh Delgado

    2020 QB ::

    Mater Dei (Calif.) quarterback Bryce Young - No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the country

  8. Cine visiting today ::

    Texas will host one of its top targets today. Horns247 has learned that four-star Trinity Christian Cedar Hill defensive back Lewis Cine will make an unofficial visit to UT and take in the Longhorns’ spring practice. Cine picked up an offer from Texas last month. He also holds scholarships from Auburn, Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Texas A&M and others.
    Cine relocated from Massachusetts to Texas this offseason.

    At 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, Cine is ranked as the No. 3 safety in the country and No. 6 overall prospect in the state, per 247Sports Composite.

  10. selling that SEC SEC SEC - Tyler Owens LB Plano East

    Tyler Owens is a 6-foot-2, 202-pound hybrid defender who plays for Plano (Texas) East, a school that Texas A&M has become quite familiar with.

    Owens, who posted a hand-held, 10.01-second 100-meter time (adjusted to a 10.34) and has a self-reported 4.41-second 40-yard dash, is a prospect who is starting to blow up on the recruiting trail. Most recently, he picked up an offer from Baylor, and the Bears join schools like Houston, Nebraska, UCLA, and Vanderbilt on his offer list.

    Vanderbilt was his first SEC offer, and Owens admits a high interest in the conference.

    "I would like to have some more SEC offers," Owens said. "That would be pretty cool. The SEC is pretty nice [with] schools like A&M. Alabama would be cool to have, [and] LSU."

    Texas A&M is a school that has had recent success recruiting at Plano East, reeling in defensive end Landis Durham in the Class of 2015 and linebacker Anthony Hines in the Class of 2017. Owens likes the combination of the SEC with the in-state location that Texas A&M offers.

    The Aggies have yet to offer, but if they show interest, they could make a big move on Owens' list.

    "Really, if I were to have an SEC school, I would like to have Texas A&M, because Plano East alumni do well down there," Owens said. "It would be great to have a choice to stay close, because I like to have my dad and mom close for my games."

    Ivy League school Brown also has extended an offer, as Owens is a solid student.
