And they won (albeit over Baltimore).

hey, Baltimore just swept everyone's sexy WS pick and is probably better than Boston this year. Yankees gonna clinch this division w 20 games to go and Helobious will blame that for when they don't win the WS. well, that's considering we actually complete the season, but still.

  2. I think Auba is going to stay and that we are absolutely on the right track. we still need a ton of help/improvement in the defense and the midfield, but we are in pretty great shape at both keeper and in the attack. we are definitely going to sell a high number of players this summer, and we won't be able to really buy anybody impactful until we do so,  but still, i have faith.

First, you have to love what you've seen from Arteta. Xhaka was all but gone before Arteta was hired and canceled what was previously a done deal to send him back to the Bundesliga, and Granit went on to become one of our most important players. A recent poll showed that Arsenal fans prefer only Aubameyang to Xhaka when it comes to who should be our captain next year. What an unbelievable turnaround.

Then you have the inverse of this with Guendouzi. Arteta immediately emphasized body language upon arriving as manager, and Guendo never bought in, continuing to be overtly petulant and just plain stupid, including but not limited to his reckless and emotional antics on the pitch. Now he's gone, and will be sold to make room to bring in someone else who does buy in and commits to Arteta's vision.

Now then, look at what he's managed to do with Lacazette- he benched him for Eddie Nketiah, who himself played well and looked deserving, yet he managed to keep Laca happy and involved, even with his reduced role. Now Laca has had a fairly successful season and will leave the club on really good terms, and we will still get a decent fee for him from Juventus, Barca, Lyon, or whoever it is that ends up with him. Again, Arteta shines at handling his players.

Laca wasn't the only senior player to lose PT to a youngster. Willock, Saka, AMN, Nketiah, Nelson, and Martinelli all saw their roles greatly increased, and Saliba will likely be a starter at CB for us next season. Arteta has made his vision clear, and aside from Guendouzi it seems that everyone is on board and buying in. I have absolutely zero doubt that if Arteta is provided with the players that he needs that we will see Arsenal heavily involved in the mix for the top 4 sooner rather than later.

Maybe my favorite television of all time. The first seasons are fantastic. And I did not gripe and moan about the last few seasons and ending. On the whole, really strong. I was hooked after the first episode.

your mom is really strong on the whole.

I was somewhere around 104 points when you posted this, sitting comfortably in either first or second place, waaaayyyyy out ahead of most of the pack (me, nomaaa, and fawesome were all up in the 100's for the first week). Five days later and I'm at 82.5 and only 1 point ahead of you, lmao. thank god this season won't count!

also, jesus christ pete alonso sucks dicks for quarters. gonna throw a big "fuck you" towards espn and their terrible draft room format/scroll bar issues which caused me to panic select Alonso as the clock was running out on my second pick. Dead serious, if you want him, come and get him, because i do not want him on my team. i shoulda traded him instead of Muncy. the wrong kid died!!

annnnnd you're two points ahead of me. 2020 fuck yeah!!

  5. dynamite show. the first 4-5 seasons were amazing television. season 6 was a clusterfuck of epic proportions, but the first five seasons were so badass that i couldn't care less. i recently did my third watch through (with someone who had never seen the show), and it just reinforces to me how great the show is. Sawyer remains my favorite character to this day, but Benjamin Linus, John Locke, Mr.Eko, and plenty more left a lasting impression on me. great, great show.

  6. also - and i wanted to get some Chelsea fans' opinions on this- but for me Pedro was the biggest threat for Chelsea after he came on. his pace on the ball, the direct nature in which he would attack our defense, plus Arsenal's horrible penchant for costly fouls and penalties (more than half of our goals allowed this season game from opponent set pieces, by far the highest % in the league) all had me worried every time he was on the ball. the two or three times he charged forward i had to hold my breath. it made me wonder why he wasn't a bigger part of the game plan to begin with (particularly against a team with defensive/set piece woes like Arsenal), but I know nothing about the Chelsea roster/minutes allocation, so i'm here asking y'all- didn't you feel like he was a threat to produce a goal when he was in? i know i did.

oh yeah, and as for Lampard's comments after the match? just perfect. he said everything hang i would want to hear my manager say on a day like that. of course he mentioned the several ways in which Chelsea were screwed, but had also placed all of the blame on his team and said that they weren't ready for a cup final and that they had to do better- no excuses. that's championship mentality.

  9. also, his name has GOT to be pronounced, "Louie Ro-Bear", or something very similar. I legit doubt that he could even say "Robert", but that's what they all keep calling him.

    Atrocious reffing

jesus anthony taylor had a bad game. i'm an Arsenal supporter and imo Arsenal earned the win, but i would be disgusted if i were a Chelsea supporter right now. having two different (and rather important) hammies pop in one match is brutal enough, but got damn the officiating was bad. again, i think Arsenal deserved to win, and the truth is that the Chelsea players did spend the afternoon playing rather recklessly/overly-physically, to the point where it shouldn't be surprising that someone was sent off. still, the wrong guy was sent off. neither foul should have been a yellow (or even a foul on the first one). nobody wants to see that. shame that it happened in a cup final/London Derby.
