If the Rockets traded for Giannis, I would be fucking pissed. As in my 40 year fandom would take a big hit.
We have made the necessary moves to compete for a title. I like our roster a lot. I'm gonna assume front office has no desire to trade for him until further notice.

Yes, the democrats are definitely responsible for everything bad that is happening. They should be held accountable for all of these terrible Trump policies. By all means, stop voting for them. Things will definitely be better if they don’t ever gain power.
Just like those Muslim Americans in Dearborn. They definitely had the right idea.He never said anything about not voting for Dems or not wanting them in power. Do better.

Dems could run a Bill Clinton Dem again, the right would call him a commie socialist, and "centrists" would be very concerned how far left he is. People's brains are cooked. Again, the game is rigged. Have to excite the youths and people who don't typically vote and stop trying to appease the middle.

It's a cover but they made it big, lumbering, and epic.

The more clips I see, the more I realize why people like Mamdani.

Incredible. This clip is perfect. Her expression, breaking the 4th wall, and the camera work.
A+ mockumentary scene.

Was just watching CNN, where they did a piece about propaganda on Iranian State TV, then segued to a “Who is Mamdani?” tease, with a clip of him aggressive and yelling. Unbelievable.

I've only voted R for President once post Bush (Romney). I voted straight D last election on anything non-local. But if they want to move far left, that's fine, I'll sit and home and let the nutjobs on both sides fight it out. And I'm fairly confident how that will go. A lot like last cycle.
No offense, but that's a risk Dems should be willing to take. Either voters like you sit out (which is fine), or they call your bluff and end up getting your vote anyways. If they run an authentic campaign, they'll get plenty of first time voters to make up for the people who stay on the sidelines.

The President can’t take criticism so he’s going to hide behind pilots… “tell THEM they failed the mission”
Jesus Christ. What an amazing and serious leader of men
Exactly. The guy is such a sociopath that, in his mind, the only way this could have been a failed mission is because of the pilots. LOL!

To the poster above, it has nothing to do with this particular candidate or his particular platform. It's the larger optics of the "center of the universe" and home of Wall St potentially electing a self proclaimed socialist. I'm talking about national perception in this thread.
Perception is not reality.
And perception in American politics is a rigged game.

This is the biggest gift Dems could possibly give R's heading into midterms with an unpopular president. In NYC of all places. Cue the fear porn about far left muslim socialists taking over the D party and it will be effective. The left on this board can cheer this kind of stuff on all you want but it kills you with the average American that may not like Trump but will never get behind socialism and pronouns. Tidal wave of momentum is laughable.
You did a very poor job of reading my post.
They will call any Dem candidate a socialist, no matter what the messaging or policy ideas actually are. At some point you just have to call their bluff. Yes, the fear porn will come. So fucking what. Trying to appease "centrists" or anti-Trump Republicans has led to a decade of Trump. The right has gone to war for decades and it's way past time for the left to stand strong and fight back. That doesn't mean running self-described socialists everywhere. It means we need authentic fresh faces who won't cower to the right or "the middle".

Here's the problem. Even if we did destroy everything including the uranium (which we most likely didn't), it doesn't matter as long as the Iranian regime is still in power. They can just say they have uranium and capabilities to produce quickly. You think we'll just say "we don't believe you" and assume they're lying? Khameini and his cronies lie about everything. To the point where we bombed them even though there was no real proof they were close to a nuclear weapon.
We tore up the Obama deal and no one is going inside Iran anymore to assess/inspect. All of this is a bunch of bullshit that doesn't move the needle until the regime is gone.

i would take Koepka over any of these dudes. i feel pretty confident he'll be on the team. he's built for Bethpage. won the 2019 PGA there. he plays US Open/PGA Championship courses as well as anybody in the world. and Keegan said he'll pick LIV golfers as captain's picks if they deserve it.
i'm sold on Spaun for alternate shot. he hits fairways and can putt. let him play those two sessions for sure.
Koepka slipped my mind. Totally agree he makes the team assuming he's back in form.
If Keegan is fully open to LIV players, maybe Patrick Reed gets a look too.

It wasn’t a discussion about his motivation.
But it needs to be, because his motivation is always changing. Saying "he wants peace" is BS, it's a flickering moment for a man who flips and flops on everything.

Also it was awesome to see Brad Lander team up with Mamdani. They were opponents but allies, and they rose above the hate/bullshit which had a positive effect with voters.

I am a little concerned that the wrong message is gonna be sent by the far left with this Mamdani primary victory. They might think their messaging and policies is what the rest of America wants too, but NYC is its own thing and doesn't represent the rest of the country.
The message should be: Don't be scared. Vote for who you want to lead, not who you think will appease others. Shake things up and reject the old establishment. It can lead to a tidal wave of momentum.

The DNC will absolutely kneecap this guy in the general election. They hate grassroots movements and candidates who can excite voters.
I'm good with this fight. Can't kill off the DNC establishment without some blood.

I'm not sure I can handle the continued social media onslaught, but happy about Mamdani. Time to shake things and put the Democratic Party (including the voters) on notice.

Firefighters ambushed by gunman while responding to brush fire in Idaho

Mass shooter kills innocents. Mass shooter dead. What do people expect this thread to turn into at that point?
Feels like some people are just mad this guy ended up being the poster child shooter instead of something "spicier".
