  1. My god.

I don't care that he went to Tech. His parents could have gone to A&M and OU as well. I fucking love Ludvig.

Great kid. Keeps things very simple with swing and shot making process. I'm buying all the stock in him.

Fuck them. I think the PGA Tour ought to circle the wagons and just bar the LIV guys that aren’t qualified from PGA events and US/British/PGA Champ moving forward. Pay the PGA guys more and just strangle the LIV by not including them. It might take five years, it might take 10 but they’ve got the events. Just don’t let them play.

Agreed. They got their big fish with Rahm and it didn’t move the needle at all. Enough time has passed to state that LIV is a failure. They can money whip whoever they want and nothing will change. Ratings will be shit and most fans will move on from following players that join in the future.

PGA Tour should hold their ground.

  3. To expound on my earlier point, Scheffler's mental game is the one X factor that can extend his dominance.

I hate to say but Spieth and Rory seem to have way too many thoughts in their head on the course. The doubt crept in and never left. Both are very cerebral to their detriment IMO.

Scottie just puts everything into the hands of Jesus Christ and focuses on staying calm with a clear head. He's got that Christian Zen ring of power on.

  4. Scheffler's mental game on the course is very strong. Better than Rory, Speith, Rahm. He never gets too high or low and his course management is unmatched right now.

Also no need for him to bulk up or become a workout warrior, so he should stay healthy in the future as well.

But similar to what Pam Cummings is alluding to, the young players are so good now. Will be incredibly difficult for anyone to be dominant for a long period of time.

If someone were dangling $850M in front of me for simply entertaining people by "competing" in golf, I'd sure the fuck sign. But I would know that I sold out and would be ostracized and be labeled a dick by most of my peers and fans.

Ok how about this. You've worked your ass off to compete and get where you are today, and probably already have $200-$300 million, and will continue to make fuckloads of money for the next 20 years. And knowing that you can sleep well at night because you didn't take money to join a scam organization.

Maybe no one gives a shit, but I wish someone would do some investigative reporting regarding LIV and Twitter golf accounts. I have no doubt in my mind that Flushing It is getting paid by someone to peddle LIV bullshit. Certain accounts on social media have a clear LIV bias, which goes completely against how the majority of golf readers feel. I'd bet LIV also creates bot accounts that reply in threads as well.

Funny how all the LIV players are begging for a merger now. This sad excuse for a golf league failed miserably. No one is watching. No one cares. I haven't seen DJ swing a golf club in over a year. The team format is one of the biggest whiffs I've ever seen and they still try to gaslight fans into thinking it's cool/fun/interesting.

  7. - Scottie just rarely puts himself in a bad position on the golf course. It's remarkable.

    - Aberg is incredibly impressive. He only made one mistake on Sunday at his first Masters. Feels like he'll win multiple majors sooner than later.

    - It's time for commentators to let go of the Rory/Spieth/JT/ hype and start focusing on others. These guys will compete every once in a while, but all players are so good now that the edge comes from the mental side. Which all 3 of struggle with.

    - Not a total disaster, but overall blah performance by the LIV guys. The longer they play 54 hole exhibition golf the harder it will be to turn it on for majors.

Sure, by killing a bunch of innocent people from other countries with other religions.

Look, I'm fully aware of their atrocities. The current President of Iran literally ordered the execution of my grandfather and 2 of his friend/neighbors in 1983 for not converting to Islam. They were also accused of being "spies" for Israel due to their main religious temple being located in Haifa.

The regime needs to go. The only path that feels fruitful is a revolution that comes from within Iran. We've all been waiting for it to happen for a while now.

But there are no "good guys" in charge in the Middle East right now. Everyone is a bad actor to varying degrees.

  9. As it has been for a while, the Iranian power brokers' goal is to make the U.S. and Israel the enemies to distract Iranians from the destruction they've done to their own people. The official actions from their government are performative and create the propaganda that keeps them in power. They have no desire to go to war.

Well there is the argument that the Syria consulate hit was pay back for this event.

Argentina court blames Iran for deadly 1994 bombing of Jewish center

Over three decades after deadly attacks in Buenos Aires targeted Israel's embassy and a Jewish center, an Argentine court placed the blame Thursday on Iran and declared it a "terrorist state," according to local media.

The ruling, cited by press reports, said Iran had ordered the attack in 1992 on Israel's embassy and the 1994 attack on the Argentine Israelite Mutual Association (AMIA) Jewish center.

The court also implicated the Iran-backed Shiite movement Hezbollah and called the attack against the AMIA -- the deadliest in Argentina's history -- a "crime against humanity," according to court documents cited by media reports.

"Hezbollah carried out an operation that responded to a political, ideological and revolutionary design under the mandate of a government, of a State," Carlos Mahiques, one of the three judges who issued the decision, told Radio Con Vos, referencing Iran.

In 1992, a bomb attack on the Israeli embassy left 29 dead. Two years later, a truck loaded with explosives drove into the AMIA Jewish center and detonated, leaving 85 dead and 300 injured.

That seems like a pretty stupid argument. Is Israel not busy enough that they decided to add payback from 30 years ago to the list?

For sure, but the attacks, nonetheless were intended to be more successful than just injuring a 10 year old girl. And the attacks came directly from Iran which is a clear escalation and an act of war. The Israeli response will be interesting.

They should bomb an Iranian embassy.

Well, they tried a combination attack, the same attacks that have achieved some success by Russia against Ukraine overwhelming Western defense systems.

Ukraine and Israel are not comparable in any way when it comes to defense systems.

The attack isn’t over, but I think you’re ascribing far too much good faith to Iran. I think it’s more likely they severely underestimated Israel’s defense system.

Yes, I'm sure Iran is completely unaware of Israel's defense system.

Also, there is no one to compare Gerry to in the UT realm. There are few anywhere that put in that kind of work and couple it with a mind for the material.

How is it not obvious at this point that Gerry Hamilton is best 9.95er out there for Texas football fans?

He's incredibly knowledgable, consistently gives reasonable takes, genuinely seems to love his job, and most importantly never comes off as a douchebag. He's easily the biggest asset in this ecosystem.
