Spoiler alert: Nothing will change. It will only get worse.

Bear probably made an extra 200k in 24 hours by sending out a text to drum up transfer rumors.

For Texas? Yesh.

Better than any RB on our roster and has 2 years of stats against P5 comp to back it up. No one we currently have can say that.

Blue is gone in 10 months anyway. 3rd -4th rounder. He’ll split carries to start the season but be our bell cow by OU. Hopefully the staff isnt dumb enough to start Wisner over him or some shit like they did to Brooks last year
Fucking offseason, man. Look, I hope Blue wins the fucking Heisman. But if he broke a tackle last year, I don't remember it. Last year he showed he was a great change of pace back, but definitely not a bellcow. Bellcow RBs are practically extinct anyways.

I felt Blue should've gotten the larger share of opportunities behind Brooks last year and never understood why he didn't. It seemed to me that Gerry Hamilton went out of his way to downplay Blue's qualities in favor of Baxter. I guess he was getting that view from his contacts on the staff because the imbalance in usage between the 2 last season never made sense to me.
Or, you know, it's just that Sark and the staff really like Baxter. It's not a conspiracy and that seems like some revisionist history re: Blue.
I agree that CJ was solid and not spectacular last year. He also seemed to be banged up the whole season. Lots of talent behind him on the depth chart. Will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Years ago I dreamt up an idea of a NYT political cartoon. It's two AR-15's relaxing in their own loungers alone on the beach with dead bodies piled like mountains in the background.
And one AR-15 says to the other, "Finally, some peace and quiet."

I am perfectly content to completely ignore Baylor, TTU, UH, TCU moving forward. Never really cared about Okie State, WV, Iowa State, or Kansas, good luck to them. Hat tip to Kansas State...incredible what Bill Snyder started there and they have my respect.
I'm very excited about the SEC with one (maybe)unpopular caveat. I hate re-engaging with A&M. I know how important the rivalry is. I went to Bonfire in HS (a couple of my best friends were Aggie legacies). I will never forget being at the '98 game when Ricky broke the record. I just seriously hate everything about the culture and overall aura at Texas A&M and being associated with them again. I really enjoyed the hiatus and would've been happy if it lasted forever.

Have been planning to camp at a friend's piece of land near Dripping Springs with my 6 year old and other families. They just cancelled due to weather and some construction still going on at the property. Bummed but also a little relieved. The thought of traffic issues and shitty weather kinda dampened our excitement. Godspeed to all of y'all making a trip and hope you get the full experience!

It is wild to me how much of right-wing politics is just beefs with different brands.
Every accusation is a confession. Hardcore right wingers are thin skinned woke radicals in search of a safe space. Waaaaah, a book talks about blowjobs, ban it, waaaaaah. Immigrants are taking over this country, waaaaah! Crime, waaaaaah! Border, waaaaah! Bathrooms are a sacred safe space, waaaaaah! Gay Bud Light can, cancel them, waaaaaah!
Truly the biggest pussies in this country.

The over analysis of this is silly. Diggs is an elite WR. If he stays healthy, he should be excellent next season. In Slowik's scheme he will thrive. It's really not that complicated.

The second half of last season. If Houston gets that version for a full season, it was a bad trade
The switched OCs mid-season and focused on running the ball. Diggs did not play poorly, they just didn't throw him the ball as much.

Thanks for sharing this story. Tragic.
Religion has been bastardized and warped and turned into a vehicle of sin and hate. I try to understand it's original powerful purpose. All the pain and suffering people endured way back in the day. War, hunger, sickness, unsuccessful child birth or early deaths. People needed something powerful to believe in so they could continue to live.
I know it's nothing groundbreaking in terms of its theme, but the last scene of Fargo this year really resonated and stuck with me. What have we done to each other? Can't we just live with joy and love, not sin and hate?

I do not mind the risks with trading draft picks when it's an aggressive move by the Texans. Everyone thought Houston gave up too much last year to trade up for WAJ, but it worked out.
I know this situation is different (Texans can't control how good/bad Vikings will be next year), but this is a move they made trying to be a Super Bowl contender. I don't care how it's perceived by NFL analysts and Twitter dorks.

I always find that weird. Is $5M not enough to get someone to try his best? $10M? What's the magic number to get someone to work hard? The guy is 30 and set for life either way. IMO, the work hard part has to come from the inside for a 30 year old football player who has only a few years left in him either way.
Because NFL contracts are not guaranteed, the incentives in a contract year are huge. Players/agents are asking for more guaranteed money up front now, which is good for them.
Small sample size, but I play golf weekly with a NFL DB that "retired" in 2022, but he's considering coming back next year (Dolphins have been calling his agent). He admitted to me that he "let up a little" after he signed his big contract after his rookie deal expired. He isn't proud of it, but injuries are a huge concern and the fact these guys can just be cut if they get a major injury can affect their mindset.
-
Also Nico Collins is in a contract year. Seems like Demeco and Caserio want to see how this year goes before locking in a big contract at WR.
Tank might sneakily have the best season out of all 3. Gonna be interesting.

They want him to incentivized to ball out in 2024. Reports said both sides preferred this situation. I'm not bothered by it.

2024 Masters

The heel turn with Jon Rahm in just one year is pretty incredible to see. Last year he won the Masters, pledged his support for the PGA, and one of the most likable and popular players. He's a total student of the game and was so good doing commentary in the booth post-round that it was easy to imagine him becoming a TV golf analyst whenever he retires.
Then he took the LIV money fully knowing the consequences. He'd already seen how bad the LIV ratings were and the fallen reputations of guys who joined LIV earlier. Now he plays exhibition golf 1-2 times a month and cried like a spoiled brat about the wind on a Friday round at the Masters. How the mighty have fallen. This whole situation fucking sucks.
