  1. Do you know where in austin they'll have anderson beans? I tried on a few at cavenders. Didn't see any at allen's.

I have no idea. Most manufacturers will have a store locator on their website where you can type in your zip code and bring up everyone that deals their product in that area.

Cavender’s would have been your best bet 10-15 years ago, but now days they don’t carry much outside of the regular stock options AB offers.

  2. I probably eat Kincaid's the most out of that group, but probably enjoy Rodeo Goat the most, especially if weather is good and can sit on the patio. Not sure I intended them in that particular order.

It didn’t last long, but on Crockett across the street from LA fitness was a joint called Brewster’s. Terrible service and half of their beer inventory was out of stock, but the burger was damn good. Not sure they lasted 6 months and that spot changed several times before becoming an Internet cafe a few years ago
  3. Yes still cash only. It’s a nice place and your girl will definitely enjoy the atmosphere more than Los Vaqueros, but I think LV food is better and it doesn’t have the hype of Joe T’s so you don’t have to deal with the circus of people and waiting two hours for a table and another hour for your food.

  4. At work so I’ll circle back later, but some of mine and my old lady’s favorite spots right there

Sushi Axiom is pretty good. Hatsuyuki is better but holy balls the wait to get in is stupid.

Blue Mesa has a Sunday brunch buffet that is fucking killer.

Rodeo Goat seems to be the more popular burger joint amongst most people I know, but I prefer Fred’s Texas. Never had a bad burger at either one so definitely try both

Stay the hell away from the downtown Hooters. Only thing worse than the food is the scenery/service.

  5. 95% of the Anderson Bean boots you come across are specific to that store and that store only. They have less than a dozen stock models. And you can order any AB you see in a round toe, just gonna have to cough up the dough for the special order.

  6. The anti-square toe crowd that says they aren’t real cowboy boots makes me giggle, and also helps separate the city folk from the country folk. Go watch Tombstone, every single pair of boots in that movie is square toe and that was 1993. It’s nothing new, but because George strait doesn’t wear them some folks think they’re the sign of a goat roper.

I’ve worked on the 6666. Outfitted boys from the 6666, Pitchfork, and the Big Creek ranch just to name a few. Every single one of them was 100x the cowpoke anyone in here has ever dreamed of being and every single one wore square toes.

If you prefer round toe, that’s perfectly fine and to each their own. But to say it’s not a real cowboy boot is showing exactly how much of an asphalt cowboy you are.

  7. lol the youg'n trying to sell me Tecovas suggested I buy them big and just wear 2 pair of socks.  That's not how it works.
Those Dan Post ostrich boots a page back are so comfortable I want to wear them all the time.

Disappointing but not surprising. I was 19 when I got in to the bidniss. I worked on straight commission. No hourly. No draw. No guarantee of a single cent. I learned from men that really knew what they were talking about.

At 24 I was a 3-time member of the million dollar club and the only salesperson in a chain of almost 60 stores to win the Justin, Arita, and Rocky boot sales contest all in the same year. That was accomplished by making the customer happy.

I saw a lot of coworkers come and go, and none of them could understand why every person that came through our door wanted to see me or Steve. No joke if Steve or myself was off they would about-face and exit the store. It was because we were good at what we did. Never sold someone something they didn’t need, and never tried to talk someone in to something they didn’t want. To hear a salesperson suggest a thicker sock or an insole to make a boot fit better would literally make my skin crawl.

  8. You should have about a thumbs width of slippage in the heel and it should be snug across the arch and in the widest part of your foot. The toe box does not stretch as it is a pvc material to give it the shape it has.

  9. I don't hate Emmanuel Acho, but I do think he needs to stfu and quit attention whoring.

Remember that time he went all over social media talking about $100 handshakes and then after the backlash came back and said he had no proof or direct knowledge of it actually happening? And then he tried to play the victim because of the backlash Of course you don’t you’re an aggy. Fuck him and fuck aggy.

  10. The last 5 pair of jeans I've bought have been Ariat, low rise, slimmer/straight fit, mainly because I have no ass, but they are durable too and are a notch above Levi's in quality. M5/M7 are the designation.

    Hank, is that you?

  11. I’m speaking specifically about the ones pictured above in the specific color. Total frat daddy’s.

My typical work pants are just older Cinch Black label or 20x xtreme but I have several pair of 31mwz rigid denims that I use as well.
