  1. So maybe the schools allotment is not the lowest priced tier.
  2. So they’re doing the common man a favor by shutting him out of the Sugar to allow for Nat Championship funds.
  3. Was that the Sugar Bowl or National championship? I’ll re-read but it wasn’t clear. Beau said it $200 for the cheapest Sugar Bowl.
  4. I’ve looked a bit but didn’t find the answer. Are sections 632, 635 part of either universities allotment?
  5. Ticketmaster has only shown me up to 2 tickets.
  6. Our upside is higher on both sides of the ball in my opinion. No support for this, but on run downs I don’t think you’ll be able to encourage our interior defenders upfield to use that against them. To succeed against our run D, you’ve got to get your front 5 to the second level. When our edge guys are on, that’s very difficult. Sweat doesn’t beat you with quickness to the backfield. He’s pretty solid at incapacitating the guy in front of him to get there. Our pass rush discipline hopefully is good which may allow for good run game integrity too. I’d be surprised if we’re doing much differently this game. Similar personnel. 5 DBs. We should be as healthy as we have all year. That’s not to say, we won’t mix it up, but the plan will be to keep you on your toes and have long drives rather than quick strike scores. Offensively as others have mentioned, you can’t leave Worthy alone 1 v 1. When you do, it best be with some confusion because you’re beat if that’s the pre snap read. When our offense is right, you have to cover the entirety of the field. Sark has a great screen game. The beauty of it is that we have 5/6 guys that can hurt you on the receiving end. We probably are weakest offensively hitting the deep ball. QE is best at 10-20 yards. You can dare us to hit the deep ball. And we might actually do that. This offense is primed to play their best. I always find discussions on Worthy a bit humorous. It is accurate that he’s not a 50/50 ball guy. He’s physical with the ball in his hands though. But it seems to get forgotten that he had what 12 TDs as a frosh. And probably missed 5 more, not of his doing but complete air balls. That was against 3 top 10 defenses. Bama couldn’t handle him. You need to account for him on every play, and I’ve yet to see 1 guy be able to do it. UW has some great players and great coaching. They can certainly win. They’ll have to play a great game to do so.
  7. I just want in the door honestly. I may regret that in the end, but that’s the goal now.
  8. How low do we think they’ll go? I’ll guess wrong on the floor and will get the itch to pull the trigger too soon.
  9. I’m not sure I win if those are my choices. But I’m there with looking back and thinking how I missed opportunities.
  10. I could do more than that with 15 minute breaks between reps.
  11. …..,,,and babysat a lead in another win is going to get the same shit everyone else gets… to be literal, he actually had to “lead” a drive for the win when the score was tied.
  12. The 3 years prior to Tomlinson arrival they won 34 games and a Super Bowl. In his first 4 years, they were 1-1 in the Super Bowl. In the 13 seasons since, he’s won 3 playoff games I believe. He’s never drafted a QB that has succeeded under him. The one he had was developed by someone’s staff. In the past 5 years, they’ve given up 90 points in their two playoff games/losses. The playoff game prior to that they gave up 45 points. There is a question about how much of that early success was carryover. He currently has as many wins as Jeff Fisher, 3 more than McCarthy. He’s got as many Super Bowls as Switzer - both victories in their 2nd years.
  13. Yep. I don’t know the process but I think those responsible for negotiating need to take more control. I mention the Rose Bowl for several reasons, other than just being a great venue for my tastes. It’s seating capacity and not being tied to a professional team. It’ll never be perfect, but there needs to be a fight for those most loyal to the programs. You start with the season ticket holders and getting access for as many as you can.
  14. Personally I’ve had season tickets heading into my 3rd decade. I don’t live in Austin and probably missed 3-5 home games over that span. Attend OU almost every year. Also make quite a few road games. Championships, bowl games. Been to quite a few. So no I’m not in solely for post season allocation, but the OU allocation and post season are important. I’m pretty damn loyal. I would consider myself relatively highly ranked in the points system. Got terrible Big 12 championship tickets, shut out now. So the value is now, do I save the money on season tickets to allow for purchasing the higher priced “most important” games?
  15. How good is Tomlin really? The organization is great. That’s the seemingly universal opinion. He only won with a QB that he didn’t draft. They obvious hit on some draft picks like a TJ Watt, but they miss a ton. Najee when you need Oline. Then when you try to address Oline you miss. 3 playoff wins since 2010. He won the Super Bowl in year 2, returned in year 4. Then only 3 wins since. In the past 6 seasons, he’s won double digits only once. Did he build that team that won or did he inherit it?
  16. People refuse to acknowledge that many conference championship games are a playoff game simply because there’s no bracket and it’s not referred to as such. Georgia and Oregon lost on neutral fields for the right to go. Effectively Michigan-OSU was that the week before. Texas-OSU and FSU-UL could have served as elimination games. I assume we’ll have conference championships much like this year next year. That’s pretty dumb to have those matchups then within the next month those teams possibly meet again. As for Georgia being favored, maybe they would be. But I certainly like Texas chances. I’m sure others feel the same.
  17. So at what point do you question whether to buy season tickets? Ticket allocations have always been a problem. Quit playing in these small, shitty environment stadiums. If you ain’t got 90,000 capacity that a very large percentage go to the participating university, you can’t host a championship. Put it in the Rose Bowl every year as far as I’m concerned. A 7,000 seat allocation for the Big 12 championship, 13,000 for the Sugar and 20,000 for the championship is shitty. It was shitty in 2005 and 2009. The schools, conferences and ADs owe it to their loyal contributors to provide cheaper access to the most important games.
  18. May be why there were so many no loss teams at the end of the regular season. It felt as though the Big 12 and SEC were down too.
  19. I understand the intent of the scheduling. It wasn’t too long ago that Southern Miss was respectable and UNLV was very poor. But let’s give Michigan some credit for their OOC schedule next year since maybe the program isn’t trying to run and hide. That doesn’t say anything about this year, but I’m looking forward to it.
