The KC loss in playoffs next year was worse.  That Oiler team was so much better and could have given us an all Texas Super Bowl.

I was at that game. I got food poisoning at the dome and turned into a fountain in the Primo Pasta parking lot on the way home. Horrible day.

If she had completed her trip and lived two more years, she could have seen aggy win their only national championship in football.

I also have a joke I'd like to make about her, but it probably wouldn't land.

Semi-auto. I spent an absurd $ amount on it -- though it's what I needed to make the process foolproof and morning friendly. It also need to have in-line water because of our then-floor plan.

We've been using a Miele super-automatic that's built into the kitchen cabinets for the past 6 weeks while on vacation and I don't think I could handle its disappointing brew full-time.

I am back to using an electric kettle and french press after using a Miele super-automatic for a little over a year. Moka pot on the weekends. The Miele is incredibly convenient and programable, but I missed having thick, strong coffee. Electric kettle on a schedule makes it very easy to have a great cup in short order. However, the Miele is great when you have guests staying in the house. I guess pour-over will be my next obsession when this runs its course. What are you making in the Miele?

Hell, who even knew that Mercer played football? The only things I knew about the place was that it was founded by Roy D. Mercer and that a lot of asswhippings were handed out around campus.

That made you feel better to type out, I bet. These kinds of idiotic missives are one of the irritants of being a board participant.  Because some idiot or two that a poster remembers saying something that tweaked them years ago, we get to get told years later that there was a raging debate of stupid across multiple posters that they were all ultimately wrong on.

Obviously just a case of a couple bad apples.

I did this with my ex-wife and she just screamed that I only left early to get out of my responsibilities as a parent.

I am on the way to the gym by 4:45  and then back by 7:15 to take care of breakfast so that she can stay in bed. She thinks I am getting away with something every time she has to bridge the gap or stir some chocolate milk before 7:15. Maddening.

I am not an expert but this brings up an interesting question to me.

As I understand the interwebs, message board sites are largely populated by Boomers, GenX and Millennials.  Every one I have participated on have been 95% plus male.

Is there a genre of message boards that are female dominated?

If not what is the reason for the message board demographics and lack of counter points for females?

There certainly is a stereotypical “locker room” type aura on message boards so thick skin is required(really for anyone male or female).

NOT looking for a psychoanalysis of Surly or a gender slap fight.

The gossip bakery. It's women bitching about social media influencers.
