Staying on South Padre Island (not making me surly). Several cross streets are named after planets in this order, driving north from the causeway:
Saturn
Venus
Jupiter
Mars
Would it have been that damn hard to put them in the correct order? Makes my OCD kick in every time I pass them.

Or just remove her day one because you can. Fuck the opinions of trumpers. Let them think it was political. Who cares? They don’t get a seat at the table anymore.
You absolutely fire her day one (if this craziness actually happens).
”I’m going to leave behind a bonafide Q-Bot who is spending every waking minute undermining your presidency by investigating something that didn’t happen. But don’t remove her, that would be political.”

We don’t need a bunch of .500 and below teams squaring off in third tier bowl games. That’s not what I’m thinking of when I say I’ve loved having college football.
No one in the running for NY6 games is “opting out.”

He's not that big and most of his runs are tricking the defenders by hurdling. We saw how that worked out for ol' Sam McGuffie
Najee Harris is 6-2 and 230 pounds, he just moves like he’s small.
I like Etienne better but Harris is really damn good and has plenty of size.

Is there a chance Clemson could jump Bama after this? Assuming Bama wins.
Don’t see it, Alabama will still be an undefeated team and Florida is damn good. Their offense is for real.

I don’t know why you rule out candidates without FCS HC experience. Some of the top coaches currently in CFB came from the coordinator ranks— Day, Riley, Smart. Put together a search committee and do a real hiring procedure.

I don’t know. All I know is if aggy can get a coach like Jimbo fisher, we can do better. And I’m not sure that I think fisher is really that good of a coach but he can recruit like a mother fucker and he’s had success at a big time program. I’m halfway kidding when I say this, but I’d almost rather just give Herman another lame duck year and take our chances at the pool of coaches next year. Because there has to be someone more qualified than him.
Who is realistic out there who would be at Fisher’s profile? Someone with a championship or CFP appearance?
It’s pretty odd for a NC winning coach to be disgruntled and angry with his program like Fisher was.
Saban- LOL no
Swinney- Nope
Day- No
Riley- No
Orgeron- No, and do not want
Smart- Really doubt it and also has issues closing out a season
Kelly- Really doubt it but maybe you make a call.

This last month is going to be lit
“People who are concerned and nervous aren’t the weak-kneed bureaucrats that we loathe," the official added. "These are people who have endured arguably more insanity and mayhem than any administration officials in history."
Fuck you and eat a dick senior administration official. Those people aren’t weak-kneed, they’ve been fending off the chaos and mayhem you’ve enabled. They have some scruples and professionalism and as we see now your boss is exactly as bad as everyone said he was.
AOC and crew are exactly right. There should be lists and the door should be closed to academia, government, boards, think-tanks, etc that want to keep their reputation for any piece of shit today that took a political appointment and enabled this shit beyond half of DJTs term. At that point there’s no excuse to say you were trying to rein him in or channel his energy appropriately.

WTF, Harlingen just gave Stevens all they wanted with the difference being a high snap on a punt. No one’s saying they’re running the gauntlet but the team should be stronger next year and HHS is one of the few RGV squads that has experience beating teams from upstate both in and out of the playoffs.

Honestly, Aggy, TOSU and Cincy(if they win) all have a decent case for slapping the fuck out of the committee. Going in to this year, they had know that there was a huge chance that some teams would end up playing significantly less games than others. You can't fault TOSU for their idiot conference's decision. But playing 4-5 games less than the competition for the final spot is fucked up for the other teams.
The playoff committee could have taken the stick out of their ass for one season and expanded the playoffs to cover this scenario. The whole committee of experts is a fucking joke and should be disbanded. Just go back to the computer shit and let them pick the 4 teams. Remove the corrupt human factor.
Computer is fine, but no need to expand the playoffs. Shrink them, the two teams that belong are Clemson with TL and Bama.

Game over. Harlingen is intercepted in the end zone from the Stevens 10. HHS should be pretty salty next year.

Harlingen fans travel as good as anyone in the state. We’re also frequently the standard bearer for the RGV and pick up a bunch of other 956 fans along the way hoping for a miracle.

Stevens goes up 28-21.
-
You need a sub on nfhsnetwork.
-
Wheels falling off for Harlingen. High snap on a punt and Stevens recovers for the TD. 21-20 after a blocked XP. Such sloppy play.
-
21-14 after a big punt return by Stevens and a pitch and catch. 9:50 left in the game.
-
Harlingen goes up 21-7 with about 2 left in the 3rd. Stevens is playing undisciplined and looks beat.

Which team do you think can give Westlake a better game next week?
Honestly I don’t think it will matter much.

Harlingen heads to to the locker room up by 7.
Sloppy game with 3 turnovers for Stevens and 2 for Harlingen and a lot of penalties against Stevens. Questionable call by Gomez to try a 35 yard field goal instead of going for it on 4th and 3 from the SA 17.
Harlingen can easily win this game, Stevens is not completely outclassing them and is playing sloppy.
-
14-7 Harlingen. Stevens had a bizarre series of penalties to go 3 and out and HHS punched it in.

The Aggy offense is so boring.
Super freaking boring. But having the ball 3x longer than your opponent, scoring on 75 percent of your drives, and converting a bunch of third downs will win most games. It’s not a simple offense, either.

Sidney Powell and Lin Wood being highly respected lawyers who would never stake their immaculate reputations on lunacy is my favorite plot point of MAGA Cinematic Universe.

The tipping point in TXHSFB was the “awakening” of DFW (and lesser extent, Houston) wealthy communities. They started pouring resources into the sport like Odessa Permian used to (coaches, facilities, camps, nutrition, etc). It wasn’t ever magic, they just used to care more than everyone else.
It’s easy to forget that up through the 1990s and early 2000s, the two biggest big metro areas had the best players but not the best teams— the best big school football was played in medium sized towns with 1-2 schools in West, East, and CenTex.
-
Demographics isn’t the issue. There are plenty of neighborhoods and communities around SA that can field the athletes you need.
It wasn’t too long ago that the SA area could lay claim to having the best football in the state. The old 26-5A of the 1990s was a BEAST including a year when it produced both state champions (1995 SA Roosevelt and Converse Judson).

DJT Jr can’t even do the midlife trade-in correctly. You’re supposed to get something newer with fewer miles from the factory, not ten years older with half the J.C. Whitney aftermarket catalog pre-installed.
