  1. Pos rep for mentioning the greatest scotch on the planet.
  2. I don't know that he was being encouraged but apparently he wasn't being discouraged. And the staff very much wants to hang on to Wells, with recent developments at Auburn working in our favor.
  3. There's complete doubt about that call, Vitale
  4. I, for one, would enjoy some replays on all these Longhorn fouls.
  5. Call it both ways, fucking zebras!
  6. The Duke love from the crew, while unsurprising, is nauseating.
  7. Akina prefers to play press man, does he not? And I'm not claiming he's flawless or some kind of savior, but I think laying the blame for our soft secondary coverage on him is misplaced.
  8. I think that's just a title. Akina's secondaries never looked like this, PK just likes to play soft on the back end and he's calling the shots, IMO. I do worry that we're too slow at CB and we're really going to miss Manny. Maybe Phillips and Chester or someone else steps up and takes charge, but the entire secondary is concerning going into next season.
  9. I haven't been this excited for Longhorn hoops since neither Rodney Terry nor Shaka Smart was head coach here.
  10. Oh, hell yeah. Now just reel in Austin Goosby and Cam Williams and I will be one gruntled Longhorn.
  11. Agree with Oscar, but my vote goes to Wilt. Other overlooked offensive juggernauts are David Thompson, Kareem and George Gervin.
  12. I have given this some thought and whew, boy, you have posed a difficult question. All I can come up with for matching academic and athletic futility is Rhode Island. But it's in a suburb of Providence so that's already better than Starkville. Fresno St?
  13. As out of left field (or absurd or insane, choose your preferred adjective) as this is, I wish Nick Townsend had been cross-training in the backfield. He did everything for Dekaney, including RB and Wildcat. He's big, monstrously strong and very fast for his size. We've already seen how physical he is blocking. Doubtless it is too late for this, but it might have provided dividends.
  14. That DBs last name is really Outhouse? He must take tons of shit.
  15. Shaw and Brevard get more snaps against running teams. We have better pass rushing DTs.
  16. Yeah, I noticed Hutson whiffing a few times "downfield," missing blocks to unlock edge plays. Is he really such an OL Svengali, guiding our line, that we can't risk playing someone more aggressive? Genuine question, because to my eye he's a liability.
  17. Or just call it The OU Game. My first was in 1967 (I was 7 and yeah I'm old) and I never heard it called different until the 90s.
  18. I'm slightly more optimistic. Pre-conference play I am right there with you, but our roster is better than last year, the coaching staff is light years better, and our aforementioned pre-con is crap and allows the new teammates time to meld. I think we can break even in the SEC, maybe a smidge better. I think we reach 20 wins before post season play.
  19. From your lips to God's ears
  20. It really is weird, I can remember a time when he was excellent. Did he suffer a head injury or something?
