Looks like some of our fanbase wants to have our dick in our hands when we enter the SEC in (hopefully) 2023.

Sign Ewers. If he's a bust, so fucking what. We have Maalik or a future signee/transfer to take over. If Ewers plays well, we're set up nicely entering a new conference.

While we've farted around with a couple of mediocre coaches and shit the bed for the last decade plus, other schools have smartly and aggressively found ways to compete and level the playing field against us. Now it's time for us to drop our nuts on the table and play to win.

Are we the villain? Good. Embrace it. Use it to create a chip on our team's fucking shoulder.

We already get treated as the villain of CFB, we should lean into it.

Get those bad mofo's onto the playing field who want to be the bad guys too.

Go kick some ass on and off the field

Our insiders are now saying Chip to Oregon may have more legs than originally thought.  First, Uncle Phil and former AD and booster Pat Kilkenny are both close with Chip, and it is felt that if they want him, they get him.  Also, our AD Martin Jarmond is playing a little hardball on the extension.  As he should.  Chip has the worst record of any coach over 4 years in UCLA history.  He's lucky we'd even consider an extension.  Also, Chip just fired Dunn and hired Sexton.  UCLA (but not Jarmond) has a major axe to grind with Sexton and the way he leveraged Mora into more dough.

The question would become would the Oregon faithful be open to Chip's return?  Feeling is more would be than wouldn't be.  And UCLA is not going to get into a bidding war for a shitty recruiter with Oregon.  Oregon has built their team on top flight recruiting.  Would Chip change his tune on recruiting?  Who knows.

Yesterday I would have said the likelihood was slim to none.  Today, maybe a bit more likely.  Oh, and Oregon will receive $9 mil from Miami to buy Cristobal out of his deal.  UCLA/Chip have a reciprocal buyout until Jan 15.  The amount?  $9 mil.  They can just endorse the check over to us.

One would imagine part of getting the band back to together is leveraging legal NIL to facilitate Chips undesirable recruiting traits.

It was there before, just under the table. Lashe Seastruck to Oregon (among many others) ring a bell ?

I will be posting the announcement here as well at 1PM. Look for a banner and a thread in the football board.

I know there was mention of 3 major portions of this NIL enhancement.

Please tell me one of these will be incentives structured ? Is that even possible with the way the laws are written ?

EX: 10k per sack, 20k per interception etc obviously making up numbers here just examples

Would be hilarious if they're just using the same model to pick the teams and using all that unnecessary time to fuck around and get paid.

Ever worked with an executive before ? Can almost guarantee this is exactly what is happening. Do as little work as possible to justify the job and pay, bumble around for a few minutes on TV to get embarrassed occasionally to keep the paycheck coming in.

Lets just dismiss the humans from the equation again and update the size and selection rules and move on to bitching about those instead

OU should announce their coach right now just to shit all over the Big 12 game.  Have Drake, Dabo, and Venables all land in some baller copter while throwing money out the window.

Itll be the halftime show according to my sources

I think he will, but he should also call Notre Dame.

I really don't think ND is going to change directions like that, they have to know Freeman and Tommy are holding the class and fanbase together

The local news last night said he is halfway into the portal, waiting to see who the coach is before making his final decision. It sure would be sad to see them start the third string QB in a bowl game. And by sad, I mean I'd laugh my ass off.

    top or bottom half ?

I assume you mean if Sark gets fired in 2024.  If that's the hypothetical scenario, I'm guessing Patterson wasn't enough of a badass to field a defense to save his job, and I don't see anyone on Sark's staff ascending to head coach.  Off the top of my head, I can't think of a program that his fired a head coach for poor performance only to promote someone on his staff as his replacement.

no good programs at least. i think ND did a reasonable move for continuity but like you said if team sucks you don't promote to get more of the same (or worse)

  9. Watching OU fans on reddit is comedy gold, they havent done a real search in 20 years and have no idea the twists that can turn.

Maybe they are done with the HC this week, glad to know our rival finally feels some of this for once

in 20 years we will be honoring Pole Assassin at half time for lifting the curse.

"if you look to the 25 yard line, you will see Pole Assassin and her monkey receiving their Hall of Honor service award.  Let's give them a warm Texas welcome and a hearty Hook'em! What happens here changes the world!"

This was a necessary sacrifice to power the monkey's paw , steady climbing from here folks !

He's definitely the hot coach right now, seems to be the best coach using the portal to its full potential. I don't see where he'd go other than USC or LSU , if he doesnt get one of those two he probably just stays .

I could also see florida on this list, but they'll probably give mullen another 2 years assuming he is willing to take on a new DC
