  1. Im a huge proponent of including some small set of bowls in the playoff system, but I don't think a mandate is something I would support.

Bowl games have mostly shitty attendance as it is, and we should have some round of games on campuses to enhance what makes CFB special .

That said, I'm totally full of lack of surprise the bowl committees are taking that position, they see their gravy train coming to an end

Fucking timing, man. How many of us might have lost out on the love of our lives because one or the other of us was taken at the wrong time. Don't answer that publicly -- but consider this: Willie Nelson once said that "99 percent of the world's lovers are not with their first choice. That's what makes the jukeboxes play."

I really worry that we are gonna miss out on Traylor messing around with second choices.

I think LSU would go Napier before Traylor due to local ties.

If Campbell ends up at Penn State, Traylor maybe goes to Iowa State but I think Traylor likely ends up at Tech, Houston, or SMU for 2-3 years.

I suspect either way Traylor is the next Texas HC if Sark falters.

If Bama did lose and Aggy magically won out, I think they would be in the CCG. Then they'd still have to beat UGA to make the playoff.

I don't want to be in a state we're hoping that the georgia and texas curses are invoked at the same time, this is the worst case scenario

I'm all for hiring a bunch of hot models to seat fill when people aren't in them.. might get more people to stay in their seats but if not we're all good.

this fits well with my comment, plausible deniability ! Thats not my mistress, thats some filler the university hired :D

Could be.  To date I've been saying that the entire SECW was "meh" except for Alabama, and that they're all going to trade 2-3 losses among one another.  It's entirely possible that Alabama shouldn't be elevated above the meh of their divisional rivals, and they're just as much in the mix for trading those 2-3 losses.
Either way, this ag team is nothing special.

Staff turnover finally bit Bama in the ass...they still have more talent (on paper) than any team other than maybe Georgia. Even so, doubt they wont lose again until the CCG...and might even win that if they get their shit together.

this is the story of aggy, an occasional big win that means nothing in the grand scheme of things

All this talk about people not filling their seats because they’re inside the club, and I have not seen one single picture of hot chicks posting selfies from inside the SEZ club areas.

You think these donors want their mistresses sending out insta pics ?

Texas having Bijan and a medicore line is the 2nd biggest "what if" behind "what if" Vince stayed" the past 15 years for me. I hope he gets his and is defintely a potentially NFL starting back. I really hope next year Sark can get the line fixed.

Id say 3rd, "What if Colt played the entire 2009 MNC" is definitely top 1 or 2

  8. well I for one am glad that OSU is over. I had this one circled as the primary game of fuckery.

Baylor in 2 weeks will likely be another shit show since they are 6-1. At least we have a bye week finally

    You might be surprised.

anyone that cares about academics isn't choosing aggy over texas for any metrics aside from vet school.  i know aggies love to cherry pick limited slices of metrics that show they are better in some single area, but as academic institutions overall there is simply no comparison.

Do refs screw OSU in Bedlam to the same extent?

probably depends on the records of the teams involved, same answer for the big12 championship

i do think for whatever reason Texas is shouldering the realignment hate , and OU is getting the easy treatment

I'm kinda out of the loop - can Casey come back next year?

He has two years left he could potentially play, but my understanding the QB Draft pool is low so my expectations with a decent year is he's probably gone

There is talks of Rattler shutting it down and going pro, and lets be real Casey is the better QB

My son and I are headed down tomorrow morning for our first game of the season. Please tell me it will be a fair, hard-fought battle with the Pokes without any fuckery from the officials. Is that too much to ask? I guess we’ll fuck around and find out.

    lets reset those expectations now.

there will be a game, the weather will be nice, there will be points scored, and there will be ref-fuckery abound

The SEC wants Texas, but know Texas doesn’t have to be elite to bring in viewers. I expect routine screwjobs in the SEC, maybe even more egregious. Out of the frying pan, into the fire. Think we should be independent in football and we’ll regret the move to the SEC where the power teams covet our recruiting pipeline.

Im actually not convinced of this, go watch the A&M Bama game. A&M got considerably fairer ref action than we typically get against OU or the infamous OSU game

If A&M v Bama happened in the Big12, there is 0 chance A&M pulled that off

Agreed, but I'd have to watch the game in its entirety again - sober - to see if the refs fucked OU on a few calls too. We're obviously seeing a lot thru our burnt orange glasses. But, yeah, it still hurts.

well they got their first flag in the 4th quarter if that gives you any spoilers

My biggest problem with Sark in this game was the end of the 3rd quarter.  2nd and long, could've run the clock out on the quarter and for some god awful reason we ran a play.  Wtf was that? That was Hermanesque

I was looking for this , as it was on my list.

I kept thinking no way we try to run a play in OU's noise, burn a few seconds and switch sides of the field.

I was shocked this actually happened.

  17. Definitely a frustrating game, I was hoping with OU leaving with us this would be a bit of a fair game but BIG12 protecting that playoff cash.

Expect 2015 levels of bullshit this weekend against OSU and the rest of the year.

That said, one bright spot if you can stomach it is go watch the A&M Bama game. Bama gets called for shit OU hasn't had called in years. If they're going to call Bama, then we're staring at a much more even playing field.

Hopefully this kind of shit helps clear the way for any lingering thoughts of staying in until 2023. We need to be in the SEC in 2022.

  18. I wouldn't be surprised if there was chatter about Jimbo before the season, but these are seeing the crater at fsu and a&m are thinking they want more of that ?

Thats A decision that can be made, far be it for me to interrupt an enemy making a mistake.

Who would A&M go for ?

  19. There is no reality in which OU hires Jimbo fuckface fisher. I know its fun to dream about him torpedo'ing 3 teams in a row with a final coffin into OU but its just not happening.

If Riley actually went to the NFL they'd

    1. promote Grinch , likely fails but they have some good experience with promotions

    2. try to hire mark stoops out of kentucky  , probably says no to stay out of his brothers shadow

    3. hire some other under the radar asshole like Napier who kicks everyones ass (again)

personally i hope he does bail and they hire outside because the odds of getting 3 good corches in a row is really unlikely, but its fucking OU and Texas just isn't going to get lucky with 2 of 3 rivals being headed by ineptitude

Wait, now last year's covid season was better than the 11-2 Johnny Manziel SEC intro? Where Manziel won the Heisman and they beat #1 Alabama on the road?

Love the Dabo comparison. Dabo took over from Bowden and finished his "1st" season 4-3, the next 2 years were ok. But in year 4, the same as Jimbo, Dabo started is run of 10 consecutive 10+ win seasons. I don't think Jimbo is reaching that bar. I think the first bar Jimbo should clear is to lead aggy to consecutive conference winsning seasons.

i think he's got some earlier bars to hit first, maybe waffle house but 2 consecutive SEC wins would be a good secondary goal
