Is Darius Terrell still with TFB? Because before the season when he was on the 4th & 5 podcast with @OnAComputer he was definitely pumping Casey to get the starting job.

He is. He is taking a hiatus from podcasting because of coaching. He’s very happy about Casey.

    What time?

He'll be answering questions from 3pm to 4pm. You can ask the questions starting right now if you'd like. But the thread doesn't disappear. It will be up forever like a YouTube video or Reddit thread

Here's an example from day two of the event with the Podcast Ain't Played Nobody crew

Came into the office today, usually get in early and it's relatively empty. New chick that just graduated a few months ago from TCU is also here.

Next thing I know, she's fucking spitting fire at me about Texas" "ruining college athletics and I hope you guys lose every game in every sport for the rest of your lives! you couldn't handle losing to us every year so you grabbed your balls and went home!"

"We don't grab balls. You're thinking of the aggies. When they did that last, you fell ass backwards into this dumpster fire of a conference. You just got to take advantage of the worst decade in Texas football history and we still have a record of like 60-20 against your program. You should be thanking Texas for that last glimmer of relevance and figuring out how to help elevate the AAC to an autobid conference after it dismantles the Big 12 and hopefully, for you, grabs TCU in doing so. Regardless, you're welcome, and maybe we'll schedule y'all as a cupcake sometime in the nonconference."

Then she literally screamed at me about "not going to the fucking AAC! the SEC should be inviting us!!"

These people aren't just losing their shit online. They're also coming unhinged in-person. In any event, like TCU, I'm sure she'll be landing on her feet somewhere decent soon anyway.

Did everybody in the street clap after that?

I was on a call this weekend about NIL stuff and this was tangentially discussed. The ATM meltdown was as paint by numbers as we would all expect. The funny part is that the national media folks simply cannot fathom the behaviors they've exhibited actually being organic and genuine and not part of some higher strategy. I listened to Luginbill and Sallee trying to rationalize it all yesterday because the reality is too unbelievable to them.

ATM was kept in the dark. I was told that on Wednesdays once the news was out and I spoke to a friend, and I posted it here that day. The media is buying the narrative that Bohls was wrong on that and they knew at higher levels. They did not.

They were kept in the dark because everyone feared they'd immediately try to fuck the whole thing up. Check.

The SEC circled its votes, formed a consensus among the others, then waited until they absolutely had to notify ATM (and Missouri) last week, so that Texas and OU could do what was needed quickly. They had the opportunity to informally discuss everything at media days without anything having to be officially public. Check.

Missouri was more or less stoked, because the monetary forecast is flat out fucking embarrassing. Any current projections on the boards and such are apparently way too conservative.

ATM did what was expected of them - go immediately to friendly press. Check.

Then ATM attempts to call the banners with the politicians. Check. As predicted, it flops because of where we are right now with other shit impacting the state politics and generally, Texas just no longer being flat-footed with the state lege. Texas knew there was going to be no lege momentum from gathering intel from that end this spring and summer.

ATM then went the next mile in which no one predicted, which was to threaten to leave or sue the conference. That apexed on Friday night. On Saturday morning, they were told to get right or get fucked, their choice, but the conference needed to know by Sunday. ATM immediately began the backpedal from there. As predicted on Wednesday, they will vote affirmatively in the 14-0 vote that is coming.

ATM is overtly and outlandishly paying players. Some of their fucking loudmouths, O'Neal specifically, are serving as hypemen while trolling around that podunk shithole in tricked out Bentleys and the like. That, no doubt, would be worth the trip just to see for recruits. Fisher and Craig and their crew openly talking about how money is no obstacle for their program with the parents is also real and worth noting.

But what's really changed? They bought Richardson, Leal, Demas, Williams, Green and the like. We watched it happen. They're being more aggressive now with families and recruits who aren't showing up wanting or expecting bags to be dropped. They'll land the Bear Alexander types anyway. No one has any clue how effective trying to buy someone who didn't realize they could be bought is going to be, but it's not a concept being introduced by someone who is tactful or suave about the delivery or in the way it will make those recruits and parents feel.

I stand by my prior and repeated take - Texas will land Denver Harris, Bryce Anderson and Kelvin Banks. Brooks? I've always thought we had a great shot but he's also never been a guy to bet the house on, so maybe he winds up at Bama. In any event, I expect Texas to land a top 10 class and if they win, a top 5 class. ATM? They'll get the guys that will surprise no one and then Haynes King will lead them against a weak schedule to 9-4 on the season and not much will change. Same old ATM, throwing money at problems that don't need money to cure them.

Agreed. My frustration has always been the fact that Texas feels to superior to play recruiting games to the level of the SEC (don't get me wrong, they still play games. everyone does). Why the fuck not? What's going to happen? Mizzou gets another bowl ban?

If everyone else around you is doing this shit level the playing field. In fact, take it to the level of Georgia, Clemson, and Oregon.
