(Kaelen Jones) Finishing strong: Texas ‘played with a purpose’ in ending disappointing season with dominant Alamo Bowl win

Christopher Kamrani: How Utah’s propitious 2019 season stumbled at the finish line with a loss to Texas

Just a heads up, I believe the show was Triple M Ranch, because he went on Dec 11th at around 3:30pm

Any internet sleuths out there who can find that episode?

Terrell had me laughing when he was discussing Hudson Card..how he puts up great numbers against bad teams but doesn't when he plays good teams in the playoffs like North Shore.  lol then talks about what happened in last year's playoffs..they lost to Northshore too.. We get it, you like JQJ, we all fucking do.. no need to act like Card is chopped liver as a QB

Every man has their guy they fall in love with. Like on Pretend We're Football, Tim Preston fell in love with Matt Coleman. The guys who I fall in love with never seem to end up at Texas though...

TFB podcast says princely is likely going to sign with Texas. Not sure if they mean tomorrow

I'm not sure what Darius means, but I'm guessing he's projecting. However, he told me that Quentin was decommitting when we started the show. He's got his sources of info.

But didn't you hear? The site wars were over 10 years ago; just ask the Rotund One.

I know you're kidding, but in business, the one who thinks they won 10 years ago has already lost, which makes that even funnier.

    Hey @OnAComputer,

Just my input to your discussion regarding Coaching Staff changes that should happen for Texas Football...

    • Must be replaced:  Mehringer, Warehime and Meekins
    • Add 5th Defensive Asst:  Agree that another coach should be added to defense.
    • Should add a co-defensive coordinator, maybe Chris Ash as Co-DC/Secondary Coach
    • LBs are worst coached position group so hire additional assistant for LBs/recruiting
    • Move Naivar or Meekins to an off-field role assisting in Special Teams and TEs
    • Hire Samples for TE Asst Coach
    • Hire an experienced WR/Pass Coordinator Asst to help offense like Joe Brady
    • Replace Tim Beck (With Sam being a Senior he can handle an OC change)

Also not fun to talk about, but adding more diversity, experience, and good-cop type assistants are crucial for the staff changes going into the 2020 season.  Other teams are constantly negative recruiting that the Horns Football Staff is "too white" and how Mehringer and Warehime severely berate players...

Herman needs to lose the powdered eggs and burnt toast approach going forward.  Assistants must stop playing favorites, hold the players accountable and follow thru on the meritocracy philosophy.  Coaches must develop more unity and better leadership within the team...

Herman must hire great experienced assistants, let them coach, and hold them accountable.  Tom needs to hire an OC he can trust to call plays so Mensa can be the CEO of the program and hopefully produce the winning results Texas fans desire.

Agree with a lot of this. Sounds like you get the gist. Especially with the adding diversity and adding a new coach to LBs,.

There is a shot of Eagles on the sideline in the last episode of All-Access talking with Corby Meekins. Eagles is telling him he needs to back off the line of scrimmage based on what hes seeing from the CB, Meekins tells him to just work down field and read another player based on something Duvernay is doing. Eagles is clearly frustrated and not getting any answers, looking away and replying "ok, ok, alright". The exchange is a bit cut together but its a look into what the players are dealing with because of our dysfunctional coaching. Meekins has never coached WR before. Hes a high school OC, HC who was brought on by Tom to secure Ed Olivers commitment at UH, given TEs then moved to WR. He is coaching on the sideline bc Mehringer was moved to the box to assist Tim Beck in our play calling committee and continue his progression as Tom's protege. So Eagles has a technical question about what he can do in response to how a CB is covering him. Meekins gives him no advice and instead hits him with how the scheme is designed and what his job is within the scheme. I can see this playing out on both sides of the ball. Players identifying technical issues they're facing, seeking advice and getting scheme regurgitated to them because the coach lacks the technical expertise. This would be especially frustrating for young inexperienced players who have to wait to get the coaching they were searching for in the meeting room the following week, in the form of Mehrinnger lambasting their technique on film at the front of the room.
