@OnAComputer you do this literally for us to see it right?
Gerry literally retweeted it, so I thought it was fair game. If you're gonna give out a trampoline to use for a dunk, why not?
Also I was a big fan of Llywellyn's tape. Sucks he didn't give Texas a visit before committing.- 2

Egg on my face here, I admit. We didn’t see that one coming.
CTJ was still throwing shit against the wall though.

1) TFB is sourcing info from Mike fucking Stoops. Once it became clear he wasn't getting the gig, he threw some bones to his buddies about what he was hearing regarding Sark's staff. They've got good intel as a result, for a very little while longer with time lengthening between Stoops getting to hear much. The Marve stuff is probably pretty legit, so here's hoping that's the guy.
2) Regarding Joseph, Riley Dodge and Jeff Traylor both think highly of the guy and think he's an excellent coach. There simply a reason other major programs offered the guy or already had him on staff.
3) Regarding Coleman, I confirmed that Herman was all up in the WR corps' shit this year. Coleman wasn't in charge of his personnel selections and wouldn't have had Kai Money near the field. It wasn't Coleman directing Yancy McKnight to put 15 extra pounds on Jake Smith for this season. Herman basically decided that he'd rather just handle the WR spot via micromanagement than outsource it to someone outside of his network that he didn't trust, which he decided after interviewing a few guys that we'd have been happy to have. Herman didn't like having to defend the premise that he wasn't on the hot seat going into 2020 and would write guys off who pressed on the issue.
Oh yeah dude. You got us. Mike Stoops loves us and is getting info about who's on the staff even though he isn't even on it/near it. You're a super sleuth.
But it is quite rude of our source to block us on twitter. 🤷♂️- 3

My friends are telling me that he basically said he was stubborn as a recruiter and wanted final say on offers which meant Texas missed on a bunch of guys. I have been complaining about this for year!
This has been an issue with the past two Texas staffs. Herman thought just because Texas was Texas, he could take his time and land whoever he wanted. It meant you had countless Garrett Wilson situations due to atrocious evals.
Here is my list of guys who they just simply "passed" onQuoteLooking back on some of the Texas staff's "passes" is infuriating:
- Jaylen Waddle (went after Justin Watkins instead. Watkins no longer plays)- Jaxon Smith-Njigba (never even offered him!)
- Nate Anderson (didn't evaluate him until he blew up at The Opening. OU did a good job evaluating)
- EJ Smith (they wanted Mookie Cooper and continued to pursue him after he decommitted)
- Garrett Wilson (wasn't offered until it was too obvious he was good) - Austin Stogner (you could tell he was good with your eyes closed. He was "too old" for Texas because he went to Pre-K instead of skipping it. My sister did that too. Now at OU)
- Jalen Wydermyer (you could tell he was good in high school. It was a no brainer. They didn't even look at him. Now starting and producing at A&M)
- DaShaun White (wasn't offered until late and never really pursued. Now we have LB issues and OU has a good player)
- Taye Barber (obviously better than his ranking. Now killing us at TCU)
- Rhamondre Stevenson (they went 100% in on Trey Sanders instead)
- Marvin Mims (didn't even offer him. Dude was soooo good. Is now working his way up a loaded OU WR depth chart)
Not to mention the last staff passing on CeeDee Lamb and Kenneth MurrayI feel heard

I was listening to the Fire Tom Herman podcast (since re-branded) and one of the hosts talked about the 12 step program and the impact it might/should have on Sarks life/career. Apparently the host has worked a little bit in addiction/recovery and at least has a bit of an idea of what hes talking about on this subject.
The gist of it was that going through and completing the 12 step program requires you to be introspective to take a look at your life and career and goals and how all of that was impacted by your addiction. You have to strip away all ego and realize that there things you can not control. Just a really intensive self-therapy. A type of therapy that goes beyond just beating addiction.
It requires a kind of self-evaluation that would do wonders for someone like Tom Herman - and likely made a huge impact on Sark as a coach.
The hope would be that he carries over that kind of critical self-evaluation into all areas of his life - including decisions like coaching staff. Hopefully he doesn't allow things like ego or a lack of self -confidence steer him into making lesser hires because he's worried he might be over-shadowed or challenged.
The initial list is full of names with as much or more experience than him, at big time programs, with big time success. If he can get just a couple of those names his initial staff will be miles ahead of what Strong/Herman walked onto the 40 acres with.
Off topic note: the name of the show is satire. I know that is taken well here, but boy oh boy do people on twitter not enjoy the name
