  1. Nahlin is throwing shade on Wiltfong because he thinks he is wrong or because Nahlin is just acting out like a petulant little 9.95 bitch?
  2. According to IT, Texas is expected to land Alabama RB transfer Robinson. I wonder if that’s a sign about Blue.
  3. If this doesn’t work we should do a little tampering and sign Trey Sanders away in free agency from them.
  4. I wouldnt quite call that a legacy, his dad grew up in Texas and was a fan, didnt say he attended UT. Having said that, our likely starting QB this season is a true BlowU legacy, so anything is possible. I’m not aware that Card’s father played at OU.
  5. I figure I can just make up my own information if I wanted pure fan fiction.
  6. I wonder if Trey Sanders will portal as well. As it stands now, he would likely be their 4th string running back. I know it was injuries that set him back but you have to wonder if he wants a fresh start somewhere else.
  7. Thats definitely part of his marketing narrative for sure.
  8. Jesus Christ. After all of this talk about how quickly players go broke after they quit playing, this guy spends hundreds of thousands of dollars while the team he is playing for drafted his eventual replacement.
  9. I guess it’s possible he went from their top back to their third back. At minimum I expect he would have been a heavy part of their rotation. I wonder if the real reason he is leaving is because their offense sucked shit through a straw last year and was not going to be much better next year. Unless he likes the MAC I doubt he’s going to land some bell cow/clear cut starter role anywhere. The TCU mods are also notorious for being fan boys like Baylor mods so I’m not sure I would assume their information is unbiased.
  10. He lead TCU backs in carries last year. He was their starter in almost every game last year.
  11. Barlow is a decently talented back who was getting a fair amount of reps. What’s the story here?
  12. People on this side of arguments like this are often ignorant of actual facts. Emotion takes the place of the effort required to learn the nuances of a subject to the wine crowd.
  13. I don’t think that’s entirely correct. It looks like one of us from the player and one narrative is from the coaches through various media contacts. Both sides have an interest in not looking bad over the situation but if he got into physical altercations with teammates, I would imagine that could be verified as true or total bull shit pretty easily.
  14. For some, yes. But clearly facts have not persuaded a group of people who made up their mind to be angry. I think the best strategy is to simply ignore them and move on. If people think the university is racist over this, they should choose to attend another school. Over time self selection will solve the problem.
  15. If he’s punching his teammates and cursing at coaches and this was effectively a mutual separation marketed as an opt out year, I do not want him anywhere near the campus. I have no doubt the Texas coaches are going through the due diligence to figure out what actually happened. If he simply was opting out, just prepare for him sitting out every bowl game and after 2.5 years of playing you know he’s going to quit. If you are ok with that scenario, then fine. If not you better recruit someone else.
  16. So according to IT, this was more of a Zach Evans situation? That’s an even bigger red flag than simply opting out.
  17. It’s different because he’s not transferring to another school to play. He’s quitting high school football entirely. Maybe that changes and he does end up going somewhere else to play but if not it’s a serious indicator that he will skip games that he does not think help him reach the NFL.
