John Jenkins was a bottle blond bastard. But that sonofabitch had some great offenses.

45-24 in 1990 was glorious and one of the best games at DKR during my time on the 40.

He also used to splice porn into their film work.

Hmmm... seems like Texas would be justified in acquiring some leftovers to give to siblings on official visits. Cheap advertisement in SEC country if you ask me. Maybe that’s too complex to think about for some.

Ok. You’re a troll. Got it. It’s been a bit of pain learning everyone’s schtick on the new site.

You mean those can only be given to coaches kids?!? I learn something new every day.

Of course not, but I do  mean that a kid from Georgia who didn’t visit in December or January probably didn’t pick one up at Academy. It’s not hard...for most.

And if LT loses to WL again next year, I will deserve it cause there is no way LT should lose to Westlake. It shouldnt have happened last season, i will be suicidal if it happens this year!

8 years? AWWWWW bless your heart. We have 5 kids. They are going to rename LT after our family!

5? Might want to get some tips from coachkiss before it ends up being 6.

I'm gonna subscribe to the Athletic as soon as they hire beat writers for the Rockets and Texans as well.

Do it now. One of the best things about the Athletic site is that they'll actually respond to the comments for each article. Let them know you want more Houston coverage. Also, one of the Surly posters above said he just signed up for like $30 for the year. That's the cheapest I've seen. I paid $50 and still feel like its well worth it.

    Can anyone post this article?

The Athletic seems to be producing some quality sports journalism. If you are a subscriber, are you happy with the content relative to the cost of a subscription? Might have to break down and subscribe.

scottonian already posted, but I'd definitely recommend The Athletic. It's essentially a collection of my favorite sports writers...and Peter Gammons.

Is just under 19 yards per catch good? Beck employing the Greg Davis offense with DJ Munroe.

Fairly appropriate since the only route on Duvernay's "route tree" looks like the sideline designation.

Quan Cosby Sr year: 92 catches, 1123 yds, 10 TDs.

Ignoring everything else (like size, ability, hands), I will eat my hat if Duvernay comes close to those numbers.

At this point I'd kinda be surprised if his career totals surpass that. He's at 29 catches for 536 yards, 3 TDs now.

Brewster took over Leal's recruitment at some point in the last few months for A&M.

My point is that it’s the recruiting coordinator. We have one of those right? Everyone is talking about how great Carrington is. Herman went by multiple times the first week we could be on campus to see Leal. It’s not Brewster vs Giles. It’s a weak position to push.

Who's shitting their pants?  I'm saying Herman didn't maximize his staff and it's biting him in the ass.  Pitting Giles against Brewster head to head is just plain stupid.  Herman could have a much better staff in place if he wanted to. He chose not to and losing recruiting battles with Giles was very foreseeable.  Giles should be the DL coach, and someone else should have been the DL recruiter.

Is this recruitment over?  Who knows?  We still don't know if Leal committed or not.  But that does not change the fact that Herman did not do himself any favors here.  He chose to play from a position of weakness.

Please explain how the fuck it’s Brewster vs Giles heads up? Is Brewster the d-line coach? No. Unless you think Leal is going to A&M to play tight end.

  11. I posted this on the grad transfer thread in a discussion with Parliament, but I thought it'd generate more traffic here. Anybody else interested in Joe Burrows from Ohio State as a grad transfer QB? Herman recruited him to OSU before he left. He should fit the offense and was Mr. Football in Ohio his senior year. He's expected to finish behind Dwayne Haskins in the QB battle this spring. Has 2 years of eligibility remaining.

I agree with this. I'm just surprised Chip Kelly would have an unathletic qb on his team. Seems he's either really desperate, or he's trying a new strategy. This should be fun lol.

Eagles' Sam Bradford part 2...without the quick decision making but better eyesight. Probably just wants to save DTR a beating as a freshman.
