  1. No it isn't. They won't even entertain universal healthcare & it took a pandemic & trillions in corporate welfare to give people a few crumbs of stimulus.
  2. The WHO weighs in against Covid passports: https://amp.smh.com.au/world/europe/who-urges-against-vaccine-passports-even-for-international-travel-20210407-p57h0d.html
  3. Not a fan of Russel Brand & don't follow him but he makes some points here:
  4. Those videos didn't look like college kids on break, more like out of town broke old heads (millenials & gen x) burning through a stimmy.
  5. Another one today. 1 killed 3 injured at a highway convenience store in Missouri. https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/reports/mass-shooting 16 so far this month. Three of those in Texas.
  6. Not to thread hijack but this psychopath murdered someone in cold blood and not only got off but got hired somewhere else. What happened in the OP is child's play. They'll get promoted & a raise.
  7. He could legalize it tomorrow with the stroke of a pen. People are still serving time and people will continue to get arrested for a fucking plant. He said he was sorry for the 94 Crime Bil, well here is an easy way to help make amends.
  8. Choosing to frame any privacy or security concerns as 'anti-vax' is bs imo. I will getting vaccinated when it's available in two weeks.
  9. Because that's what some developers are calling them? I think Mastercard is sticking with vaccine passports? What is the preferred nomenclature?
  10. There is a difference between a piece of paper and a data tracking app.
  11. Schools require you to have a digital passport?
  12. Just wondering where people are at on these two issues? Personally I'm against voter ID and and a digital passport required to enter stores, venues, (basically function society), etc. I also will be getting the vaccine so this isn't some anti-vax nut position, more on the data, security, & privacy issues amongst other things.
  13. This thing has been too politicized for either side to admit a mistake & correct course.
  14. It certainly could in a child that is already depressed. Sounds like your kids have a stable household. A kid who doesn't have that is now stripped of the only stability in thier life (coaching, school, social interaction) etc., is pretty devastating.
  15. On my phone, but BBC, NYT, the usual. In your opinion, do you think locking a child down and barring them from socializing could have a negative effect on their mental health?
  16. Not my hypothesis. I was going off various articles from credible news sources. Take issue with them.
  17. Seems like I can find multiple sources saying their is a link to increase child suicide due to lockdowns? Even without the data obviously locking down children, barring them from social interaction, extracurriculars, etc., is going to increase depression/anxiety, especially in children already suffering from those mental conditions.
  18. Is there a thread for discussing the digital vaccine passports? The amount of privacy, security, practicality of them even being implemented correctly, etc., concerns is almost too long to list.
  19. The people at the top have diligently tried to keep the working and lower classes from uniting thus they seperate & pit people against each other on race, religion, etc. You rarely see mainstream media talk about class issues, they typically focus on race.
