Why did he not call a TO on KSate's missed FG attempt? It ended up benefitting us, but that's basic clock management shit. That said, I didn't think he was that bad today. Turnovers are what nearly (and probably should have) cost us the game.

Lol. Did Horry ever make a shot off the dribble in his career?

The next couple weeks won't be easy without Quinn. Would've been nice to have beaten OU and have a mulligan. If we do make it through, the best thing that could happen would be Bama winning the SEC. That would guarantee us a spot. We would get in over a 1 loss ACC champ. A 1 loss P12 champ could go either way. It would probably come down to how Bama finishes. They beat LSU, we probably get in.

Yeah we're really missing those 6 points right now.
It was a 2 score game with an OL that can't get a push and a backup QB who already had 2 terrible turnovers. Taking the points at that point in the game couldn't have been more obvious.

They have 6 points. I'd rather Sark challenge his guys multiple times to score the fucking football from the 1 yard line because we're going to need to in a game that matters.
BYU isn't winning this game in a million years.
Oh hey look - pick, red zone TD, game over, 7-1 - potentially top 5 in the AP. Let's fire Sark he's a drunk retard!
It seems like a lot of you have forgotten what having a good team is like. Sark isn't desperate to win every week - he's trying to build something bigger here and get to where we can contend for a national title. Kicking field goals from the 1 yard line because you're worried some dogshit BYU team is going to score 15 unanswered on us at home after they've been getting their ass-kicked all game is the opposite of what we need.
The OL clearly can't execute in short yardage. Challenging them over and over isn't going to fix it. He either needs to change personnel or kick a fucking FG. Banging his head against the wall isn't the answer.

Is running a non-gimmicky defense where players can just be aggressive so much to ask? We've watched Diaz's gator rolls, Orlando's exotic blitzes from 30 yards out, now DE's dropping into coverage.. none of that shit fucking works.

Now we just need USC to somehow win the P12.

A) no shit, could’ve told whoever OccupyLF that before this game even started
B) where would that stupid idea even come from? Conference record tie still goes to higher ranking anyway, yes?
Already posted, but the tiebreaker is some goofy opponents win% bs. Not that it matters. I'm not the least bit concerned about making the CCG (assuming we win, obviously). I'm much more concerned with how the Pac 12 and ACC shake out.

I saw this on Occupy LF Twitter post but this doesn’t make any sense… why would they need to lose 2 b12 games? Assuming we both win out we will be ranked higher.
Did you guys watch the game? WVU is not winning out.

No. No. No. PK proved he is one of the best DCs at Washington, even though he was only co-DC and wasn't chosen to be HC when Peterson left. Kevin Dunn, Paul Wadlington, Ian Boyd, and Bobby Burton all say so. Just pay 9.95 every month or you don't get it.
I've wondered if it was all Jimmy Lake at Washington. Babers pointed out that Gabriel is the only quality QB we've faced all season, and he torched us. Other than Bama last year, PK hasn't done shit here.. and who knows what role Patterson played in that.

Arkansas has at least won something in the modern era.

Edit: I think I'm just really disgruntled this morning....
My point is, OU beat Texas in regular conference play. Seems stupid to make them play Texas again in the conference championship and doubly stupid for a loss in the conference championship to result in Texas moving forward.
I know what you're saying, but I just think it's stupid...
As stupid as in '08 when Texas beats OU, OU beats Tech, and Tech beats Texas.. with OU moving on to the MNC because of a better BCS score over Texas, despite their loss to Texas.
They can eat a dick. We still owe them from 08.

No excuse not to get to the CCG with the remaining schedule. If Sark can't at least finish second with this team in this dogshit conference, then he clearly isn't the guy.

He's good for at least a handful of wtf play calls every game, and it cost us today. Would much rather have an actual OC calling plays from the booth, but I doubt that'll ever happen. And PK sucks. Legit Taysom Hill flashbacks in this game.

There is no real color in the image that you are looking at. There's only the color you see after it has been rendered by a camera, uploaded, then displayed by whatever device on which you're viewing it. Not only that, but everyone's perception of what the real color is differs.
Yeah the color looks fine to me on tv. It's the TEXAS that needs to go back to what it was. The uniform Colt's wearing was perfection, but some idiot at nike just had to fuck with it. Glad we ditched the collar logo and the metallic helmet decal.. now fix the TEXAS.

Damn you, ESPN!!!
Glad we finally got rid of the stupid collar logo, but is anyone else by annoyed by the fat/bulky TEXAS font on our current uniforms? Should've never fucked with perfection.

Sark wanted to practice the 2 minute offense under game conditions at the end of the half just because. That is the only sane reason that explains keeping those TOs in your back pocket.
That's pretty much every game. He has an aversion to using his timeouts at the end of halves.

Haven't seen him play a down, but I can tell just from his headshot he'll probably be a first round pick. Gotta keep winning.

I didn't like the Sark hire when we made it and have been down on him for most of the last 2 seasons. One win doesn't bring the program "back," but I have more hope now than I've had in a long time. That said, what separates good coaches from great one is the week-to-week preparation. If Sark truly has that focus and discipline, our days of wandering the desert may finally be over.

It won’t be until his kids are out of school though. You can only transfer once and play right away, right? Or am I wrong on that?At this rate Shedeur will probably go pro after the season. And I think his other son is a senior.

The Sec had its chance. He’ll never coach there. Colorado is the perfect fit for him. Beautiful setting. Liberal college community. Supportive administrative infrastructure. What’s not like? If he keeps winning, he’s the likely successor to Saban as cfb’s college iconic football coach. With the potential to become the biggest brand in cbf, the Big12 should feel fortunate he fell into its lap.
Maybe in a pre-NIL world. Deion is a big draw, but people like money. They'll have to pony up to really compete at the highest level, and I don't think they can. If he gets an offer from a blue blood I think he's gone.
-
I said during the offseason Nebraska should go after Deion. It would take that kind of hire to resuscitate that program, and he would've gone. The perfect opportunity and they blew it. Oh well, fuck em.

I'm all for giving Arch a go next week if Quinn is out. The one thing we can't afford is turnovers.
