Anybody who knows and understands A&M knows it is complicated. Sure they surround us and we see them every day. And sure they talk shit all the time.

But they also are really weird and disconnected from reality. So their trash talk is more perplexing than enraging. And they talk big and perform small.

That is not to say A&M has never caused us problems. They have. But OU is the perennial destroyer of UT seasons. The school that is always winning the championships we want (though not National Championships recently, choking losers). The school that is always standing in our way. The school that ESPN and the national media loves to torment us with.

So sure A&M is a rival and sure A&M is more of a constant feature in our daily lives, at least those of us who live in Texas. It isn't the same though.

Also A&M is our opponent in other very boring and unfun ways as well in politics and funding and really stupid ass shit. So yeah that can get really boring and tedious. Yeah! It is the guys we share the PUF with. How exciting.

Whereas OU is a pure sports rivalry. Which is actually fun and hating them is fun.

A&M is family... OU is a neighbor down the street... Arkansas is trailer trash across town.

I enjoy bobby and babers, i'm sorry drew, gerry, and joe are stuck with Inside Texas... We all love drama though. Bobby has brought on a lot of really interesting talking heads including CDC to his channel, so I have no doubt he'll be able to grow it. I do think he should consider building out a studio at his home to look more professional... The Inside Texas YouTube channel kickoff was rough...

What's the word on him doing a live stream at one of our tailgates next year with Rod B?

  3. I usually give sports writers a wide latitude on their opinions cause their professions demand they be provocative at times... But Kurt is that guy who intentionally pokes the dog in the eye to get the dog to attack him so that he can sue to have that dog put to sleep.

His take on sports is spiteful. Never seen someone so willfully shit where they sleep.

My unpopular opinion: $140 mil on this piece of shit is lipstick on a boar hog. It should have been blown up decades ago. And spending that money for basically one game a year plus some Mexican soccer is really stupid financial thinking.

The game should either be home and home or at JerryWorld. If you say we have to maintain tradition and we’ve always played there and it’s culture then look in the mirror when you’re making fun of the Aggies clinging to every fucking whoop shit thing they cling to.

Or play it for real on the red river flipping between the parking lots of Winstar in Thackerville and the porn store in Gainesville.

For those of you not paying for the $9.95 board this might clear things up some.

Important notification for administrators... if you replace the coach, beware, players may enter the portal, so show caution and focusness..

Someone should stroke a $100k check to Jimbo to just stand on the sidelines with headset on during the Texas v. aggie game next year.

I legit laughed out loud. I'm guessing he'd do it for free.

THIS IS THE MARKET FOR COACHES.....ESPECIALLY IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THEM.

All other talk is bullshit and fodder.

Like I said 9.2 - 9.75 seems to be about right in terms of pay.

    where's Elko on this list?

  8. Sark is a legit good guy who loves his team and is dedicated to excellence. Does he turn into Mack Brown, who turned a $475K/year job into a $5 million/year job with several natty championship caliber teams - '01, 04, '05, '08, '09 - and then shits the bed? Maybe... money rounds out the edges in all of us. But for now, what he's accomplished, what he intends to accomplish over the next 5 years... pay the man and let's move on.

Texas' endowment is $42.67 billion (as of 2022) only behind Haaarvad at $49.44.

Pay the man, within reason, and let's enjoy the next 5 years of dominance...  and aggy, land thieves, and porker's tears.

This team is peaking at the right time, Sark has done a hell of a coaching job this year and has the program primed for a multi-year run.

Loved his story and the hunger in his eyes from the start. Add in his superpower offensive capabilities and the staff hires, now you're cooking with gas.

Recruits his ass off, does the dirty work, and maintains poise throughout. Glad he's a horn, and I hope he has the continued success to merit a 20 year run.

Let's make that dream a reality, 2 more wins!

Coaches had yesterday to celebrate and are already out on the recruiting trail today. No rest for the weary... this next class will be great and I'm really looking forward to who's brought in via the portal.

  10. Extreme focusness is needed. Yes the players have finals. Yes the coaches have recruiting. Yes there is Christmas, Hannukah, and Festivus between now and the game. But players and coaches beware, without focusness longhorn nation won't win in the Sugar Bowl and be in the National Championship in Houston (where there should be large Texas presence given close proximity to Austin and the UT campus).

    ... I think I did that right...
