I have a feeling all the knowledgeable civil servants are trying to decide whether to resign or keep doing their duty right about now or in the near future. They will probably get fired making their decision easier
-
Make a quick trip up to WashingtonI'm wondering if it is better to just go out and catch this now intentionally before the system gets overloaded.  -
Another great episode
-
Can we buy some test kits from Korea on Amazon
-
No idea either, but it seems like water goes first for everything now. Ice storm etc.
Hurricanes I can understand -
Good, I'm not the only one that thinks that and wonders how he is in charge at McLaren. I've given up on them until he's gone.so, just based on appearance alone, doesnt Zak Brown seem like the biggest douchebag ever?Â
Â
maybe its the hair. he looks like a nepotic vp of a local industrial fastener company.

Yeah, I've had some funky cold the past week- no fever. And only 799 test kits!JK.  I haven’t done any prepping/hoarding yet.  Guess I’m behind the curve.  I have had strep for the last week though.
If I have it, the good news is it's not too bad, the bad news is I've spread it to a shit load of people

Wait. You're talking about San AntonioYou can pry my raspa from my sweaty dead hands. Hotter climates are superior in virtually all quality of life aspects and decades of demographic trends agree with me. -
Yep, when it gets bad. They did that for h1n1 or something. But why not start now. And have health insurance say there won't be co pays for proactive telemedicine etc. We are behind the ball.Somebody I talked to said at his hospital, they would setup what amounts to triage areas using tents, in the parking lot, like hospitals do all the time for massive numbers of flu patients.  They get their info, get examined/tested, and then either admitted to the hospital, or the ones in better shape will be sent on their way, avoiding the hospital. Â
Some guy in Miami tried to be proactive and he got hit with a $1500 bill for not having it. -
, people who might have it, but are afraid to come in because they can’t afford the costs, people who don’t have paid leave/decent amounts of sick time, who stick it out at work, and the list goes on
This can make a big impact. Who wants a $1-3k bill for the potential regular flu. Npr had a good talk about this today -
That's fair. He's over eager probably. But it seems like he lines them up and books them and does some prep work. To me it's pretty good for a 2 hour mid day show that probably has no money. To me that show is like they gave two hours to two interns and they did a great job.On what planet? Trey is a horrible interviewer. He doesn't listen to what the other guy says. He asks a question, let's them talk for a bit, and then abruptly breaks into the next question, which has nothing to do with the previous talking points. There is no flow. There is no conversation. He's clearly reading off a notecard and couldn't give a shit what the answers are. -
I agree. I am surprised how shitty we are looking at this point. It's like we were very reactive which is surprising. Hopefully I'm just an idiot armchair dr. I'll go to the cr for the restI'm not pointing fingers and really don't know or care who's "fault" it is (and pretty much assume any hot takes may be partisan nonsense) but I don't think anyone paying attention can say the CDC hasn't completely shit the bed so far. It's pretty f'n embarrassing and pathetic how highly we think of ourselves yet we're so far behind virtually every developed country in tracking this thing.  I mean, regardless of whether or not funding was cut, I'm fairly confident the CDC has more funding than some of these other countries that are lapping us as far as testing cases. Whomever developed the game plan to develop our 'own' test that failed miserably 6+ weeks ago better be out on their ass. -
Going to be a lot of parenting stories.I don’t think the Chad and Trey show will be very popular.
Too bad, I liked bk and Trey together and they did a good job. Trey is great at lining up guests and does a good job interviewing/prepping. I'd listen to them at lunch if I was out.the rest of the time I flip between Howard and not but usually listen to Bucky and Erin for a bit at least.
I guess we will see how it works. I never listen to the afternoon show anymore so maybe this will make it better, but I doubt it.
-
Huh?It doesn’t transmit as well as the flu, and I doubt even 10% of Americans get the flu per year. -
Randall's has early voting this week so some voters are actually shopping there. But next week it will be back to empty.Pro tip: If your HEB runs out, your closets Randall’s and Kroger’s will still be pretty stocked.  -
I was surprised as well. I stopped by Costco and HEB in SW Austin on the way home and both were actually less crowded than normal it seemed. I was expecting chaos.Where do you guys live that HEB and other stores are thunderdomes? Every store I’ve been to in SA is business as usual, nothing’s running out, etc. And that’s with everyone knowing there’s a significant number of Coronavirus patients in the city. People here aren’t scared of nothin, hombre.
Granted Costco had no paper towels or tp -
That's too bad, I liked Trey and bk when i was out at lunch. They did a great job getting guests on. I guess they will just put some syndicated show in that spot
Rich eisen show was terrible, i won't miss it. -
CTRMA is proposing adding lanes to SB Mopac near Barton Skyway to ease merging congestion. Seem like smart short term changes. Long term those 2 on ramps in a row have to go. The purpose is to help Enfield ramp merge further north.
This would be nice but will probably be a nightmare construction wise and take 5 years. -
Your ap,accounting, hr people will be the next to get spear phished.
