A classic CoA move.  I'd be livid if I was the developer.  The same five members who failed to show up are probably the same five who bitch about lack of housing options in the city.

Drive by there all the time and was wondering why nothing has happened. Unreal.  These delays have to be hurting developers and I'm sure that cost just gets passed on down. I know the restaurant industry is suffering from permitting from what I have read

Hopefully it gets redeveloped into some gas stations and a Walmart

I passed through Boerne on the way from Bergheim to Uvalde on Friday at 5 pm.

    HELL NO.

Nice town but way too many people and too much traffic on the main surface street (Hwy. 46).  It took me 45 minutes to get from one side of Boerne and over I-10 to the other side and on to Bandera.

Just wait until they get the new Amazon hq.

  3. Ferrari Formula One mechanic Francesco Cigorini has been hospitalized with a broken leg. The injury comes as a result of driver Kimi Räikkönen running over his left leg on pit stop release. The Finnish driver is not to blame for the incident, as drivers are told to go as soon as they are released. Warning: the video is graphic.

This is simply an incident that comes as a result of F1 pit stops getting ever quicker. Accidents happen, but they’re never easy to watch. Luckily, because helmets are mandated, the mechanic was not injured further when he fell to the ground.......

The team have stated that the injuries are limited to a broken tibia and fibula, which will require quite a lengthy recovery. Despite Ferrari winning the Grand Prix, victor Sebastian Vettel called Sunday a “mixed feeling day.” Kimi himself was slammed for being somewhat emotionless about the news.

Why do so many golf fans hate Patrick Reed?

    http://flip.it/xDULwA

2018 Masters, is the most controversial man in golf. He’s been disliked from the moment he announced his presence nearly five years ago and hasn’t done much to change opinions since then.

He’s brash and alienating. He can be a troll. He’s the kind of guy who begins sentences with “I’m from Texas.” Britain’s Telegraph named him the most hated player in golf. A 2015 ESPN players poll named him the second most-disliked man on tour (behind Bubba Watson) and that was before many of his shenanigans. He often plays practice rounds by himself and has been known to curse on TV and snap at fans. The fact that wore red on Sundays annoyed fans, either because they thought it was cocky (it was) or derivative (that was the point).

How did it get this way? Why do people hate Patrick Reed?

    The “top five” comment

Reed won his first tournament just days after his 23rd birthday and, seven months later, had three titles to his name. That got him reflecting on his standing in the golf world.

“I have three wins on the PGA Tour,” he said in 2014 after winning a WGC event. “I truly believe that I am a top-five player in the world.”

He continued. “I don’t see a lot of guys that have done that besides Tiger Woods and the legends of the game. I believe in myself, especially with how hard I’ve worked. I’m one of the top five players in the world. I feel like I’ve proven myself.”

Brash, yes. Overstated? Almost certainly. Reed was 23 and, yes, he was only one of three players to win three events in that time span. But at the time he made the infamous boast, Reed had never played in a major. This was the equivalent of an NBA rookie declaring before the playoffs that he was on the same level as LeBron, KD and Steph Curry. It was the kind of quote that followed him everywhere and was thrown back in his face after every missed cut or weekend blow-up.

There were plenty of those. He missed the cut in five of his next eight tournaments, including at the Masters and British Open, went T35 and T58 at the U.S. Open and PGA Championship, respectively, and placed inside the top 10 just two more times that season. Reed put the target on his back and the rest of the golf world was all too happy to take shots.

Since then he’s had up-and-down performances, winning two events, sticking around the top 25 of the rankings and playing on two Ryder Cups teams (more on that later) and a President’s Cup team. But he’s missed five cuts at his 16 majors and, up until his tie for second place at last year’s PGA Championship, had never been inside the top 10.

This is Reed’s first time leading a major and, no doubt, there are people hoping he falls flat on his face.

Arrests, cheating, theft, dismissals and teammate hatred

It’s safe to say most reactions to Patrick Reed inside the golf world are colored by the stories and allegations of his college troubles, which have been reported at length by writers Shane Ryan, Stephanie Wei and Ian O’Connor. They either paint Reed as a true golfing villain, a loner prodigy or an insecure kid who never grew comfortable in his own skin.

Reed, heavily recruited out of his hometown of Augusta, played one year at SEC power Georgia but was dismissed from the team for reasons still unknown. In his book about the PGA Tour, Shane Ryan said there was a code of silence regarding Reed’s time at UGA, describing it as a type of “golf omerta.” Ryan brought up whispers that Reed had cheated on the course during a qualifying round (trying to hit a better-positioned ball that wasn’t his), reported better scores than he’d actually shot and may have stolen from teammates ($400 and a Scotty Cameron putter, Ryan’s source said). Reed denied these claims and said he was ousted for multiple alcohol arrests. According to reports, those incidents were nothing more than the usual college-kid stupidity.

But a Georgia assistant coach released a statement saying that Ryan’s report was accurate and that UGA chose not to associate with “Patrick as a person.”

Reed then transferred to his hometown Augusta State, where his problems continued, but not enough to keep the small team from stunning the golf world to win two national championships. He didn’t socialize with his teammates and was so disliked that, allegedly, before Augusta State faced off in match play against Georgia with the NCAA championship on the line, Reed’s teammates told star Georgia player Harris English that while they wanted to win the title, they hoped he’d beat Reed. The title came down to that match and Reed won, 2 and 1.

Wei also reported that ASU teammates twice suspected Reed of declaring lower scores than he’d shot and that the team had a meeting about whether to keep him on the team. Meanwhile, Reed went 6-0 in match play en route to those two NCAA championships.

    Controversial comments

Reed is one of those players (like Tiger Woods) who make you wonder why television networks run live audio feeds during shots. On Friday, in the second round of the Masters, he dropped a typical f-bomb after a bad shot. Whatever. If you don’t want to hear it, don’t put a mic on him.

The National Park and State Park really should be their own trip separate from Marfa. It takes to long to get down there and you need as much time as you can get to enjoy them. They are both fantastic, you don't want to short change them.

As suggested, Lost Mine Trail fits your timeline and will give you the best bang for the buck.  Not that difficult of a hike, beautiful scenery driving up into the basin just to get to the hike (make sure you pass Lost Mine Trailhead to see the actual basin) and amazing views along/at the end of the hike.

Trying to fit big bend in seems like a lot.

I'd do something around Davis mtn state park. Also should check out the observatory. Either day tour or night viewing

    They have a new store.

year ago Augusta National Golf Club opened a state-of-the-art press building that was the envy of the sports world. This year, the club’s newest construction project is something that more than just the media will enjoy.

On Sunday, the club opened a new Masters Golf Shop, and let's just say there are department stores that wish they have a retail space like this.

The facility is built on the site of the old main merchandise pavilion, between the Masters practice facility and the first fairway, and has twice the floor space of the previous building. The teardown of the old shop started last May. Within 20 weeks, the new building was up.

Hopefully FI survives to veto the advance Williams will someday need for survival.

Agree. It's amazing how much formula 1 shoots itsrlf in the foot. Lost a lot of respect for Williams in this.

Sounds like there is a lot of people getting pissed at the Haas - Ferrari relationship. These will be some tough times for the new owners I think. Hopefully we come out better for it, but it's starting to look ugly

Austin working to reduce bumps for MotThe Circuit of the Americas is working to reduce the bumps in its track surface for next month's MotoGP race following criticism by riders last year

Many riders complained last season about the huge amount of bumps in certain parts of the Grand Prix of the Americas venue, which hosts the third round of the championship on April 22.

Some pinned the blame on Formula 1, which also hosts its US race at Austin, as the high-downforce cars have a tendency to create ripples in the tarmac that make life harder for bikes.

Ahead of this year’s race, the event organisers are trying to mitigate the flaws in the track surface with the use of grinder trucks, with a focus on the first two sectors - from Turn 1 thru turn 12

“Three points of the track require improvements. But if they do them, they have to do it properly," said Valentino Rossi at last year's race.

"We already complained about that some years ago and they did some works, but not in the correct way. They have to focus on the areas where the imperfections are larger."

Dani Pedrosa added: “On the back straight is difficult to control the bike and when you arrive there, you are riding at 300km/h.

"It is important they do something to fix that, because if things get worse, it will be very difficult to ride."

I keep my phones as long as I can - I'm still using a Galaxy S5.  I would love a Pixel 2, but I have reservations about not being able to replace the battery and not being able to swamp in a bigger microSD card.

I moved from an s5 sport to first gen pixel on Google fi. Love the pixel and I had reservations that you as well as not being waterproof. But this thing is built way better, camera is awesome, battery is great and I have not had storage issues. Love not having Samsung bloatwarr and getting immediate updates

    A few issues though-

Fi definitely isn't for everyone, it works for us currently

WiFi calling stopped working recently so I turned that off

This weekend my wife's phone will only work via speakerphone. Not sure what she did. Maybe a recent app?  I haven't troubleshooted it yet.
