Yeah, we all laughed at that, too. He had been injured and they were so desperate they paid him. That's an anomaly, tho. Venebals offense is abysmal, and Mater is terrible. Wisner wouldn't have done any better than their other backs in that offense. But hey, if they want to pay him his asking price, go for it. I Ike Wisner, but realistically he's average. He just is. I don't say this as an insult, I'm saying it because it's the truth. I like the kid. I love his hustle and grit. But hustle and grit don't translate to being awesome. He he one 100 yard rushing game this year, and had 3 last year. That isn't high level play.

I was just naming schools that popped into my head at that moment, nothing more. I honestly sat here wondering where he could land that would fit him, but as I was looking at rosters for teams just now that I mentioned he would be behind all of their RB's (outside of the SMU, TCU, etc). I think he could make money going to UCLA, and a degree from there is not a bad gig if he gets one in something that isn't bullshit. Maybe Oklahoma St? He doesn't need to go down a level, he just needs to be realistic in his choices. If he ends up at Bama, UM. Auburn, wherever, I'll cheer him on. I want him to be the best he can be no matter where he goes.

I'm talking about the likes of Michigan, Ohio State, Florida, FSU (he could go there, I suppose), Clemson, Bama, Oregon, pretty much any blue blood or CFP caliber team not named Nebraska. I don't don't doubt he can go to a P5 school, I just don't think he wants to share carries and believes he's a true RB1. I can see him landing at SMU, TCU, Washington St, Oregon St, Duke, UCLA etc. I hope he gets a shot at a big time school, but his numbers don't reflect that. He's an average RB, not a Justice Haynes, Nick Singleton, Kaytron Allen, Jeremiyah Love, Makhi Hughes, Ahmad Hardy, Kewan Lacy, Jadan Baugh-type guy that can churn out yards if need be. He's just...average. He had one 100 yard game this year against aggy. One.

My only question is why didn't we use Townsend more? He had 4 games to use and we could have used him against fOSU to score, Georgia, and Florida. He's a stout mf'er. Instead we leaned on Wisner and a broken Baxter. We barely used Clark or Simon. We hamstrung ourselves just to preserve a RS when in reality we shouldn't have to do that anymore with the portal. Get these kids in, find something they're good at until they know entirety of the playbook and let's roll. Whatever. I'm just glad Scott is gone. It sucks Gibson left because of him. I bet that's part of the reason Sark canned his ass. Running off a player who would have been a solid player and he didn't even let him play in the Florida game in front of his family. All it took was five games to run off a kid who had upside. Fuck Chad Scott.

Could this be the craziest coaching carousel of all time?
Ah, OK. If he gets the Michigan job thy might turn out to be a blessing in disguise. He's a really solid coach.

Didn't he retire?

I was just watching Tyran Mathieu talking about Lane Kiffin and LSU and joking around with a former teammate and then he dropped the bomb that to get anywhere in the coaching world these days you have to go through Jimmy Sexton.

I bet he ends up at a G5 school. He could end up at UCLA or another school like Washington St, but he won't be on a roster on a high level team.

So here's what we're looking at for next season in the RB room for Juluke to work with– Derrek Cooper James Simon Christian Clark Michael Terry (we'll see if he plays in the bowl game since he's getting a run here) Ryan Niblett Jett Walker At least two transfer RB's (hoping for Lacy and Baugh) Juluke definitely has his work cut out for him, but he isn't lacking talent in the room, just experience and youth. We need Flood to unfuck his face and get an OL that can actually block.

It's both, honestly. Wisner did some freaky jump cuts, but yeah, our LG was beyond abysmal. There really are no words to describe how bad it was. But, Wisner also had the same issues running behind Campbell, too. It was just not good. Wisner isn't a RB1, but I also don't see anyone in the country outside of maybe 3-4 RB'S that could have made chicken salad out of chicken shit from our line.

Yes. I choose to not remember those days. They're too painful for me. Right now, at this very moment, I'm still trying to recover from the Michael Crabtree "I seen it in my dreams" catch against Earl Thomas. That one hurts more than anything. I'll never get over it. I was at that game, and the pain is insurmountable.

Oh, for sure. He's a dude that people are sleeping on. Not to mention we may also have found a spot for Michael Terry in the back field. So we have Cooper, (maybe) Terry, Simon, Clark, and a transfer or two. It's not as dire as we first thought. Sure, they're young, but that's what the transfer(s) are for. We also saw Sark finally get creative and use Townsend back there like I've always wanted, so we have dudes that are big and strong. Cooper isn't a small guy, either. He's like 6'1 205 lbs and he won the prestigious Nat Moore trophy for the best player to step on the field in florida, I believe. He won't be a RS, he'll for sure play if he's not hurt. You don't sit a beast like him.

Absolutely agree 100%. He went from 472 receiving yards as a true frosh with 5 TD's to (currently, he'll add more in the bowl game) to 770 receiving yards. That's over 300 more yards. He's gotten much better. He'll get over 800 by the time the year is over. Wisner went from barely cracking 1, 065 yards in 115-16 games to almost cut in half to 600 yards. He only had exactly one 100 yrd rushing game, and that was against aggy in the last game. One. He almost had two more against ou and fOSU. Yeah, that ain't gonna cut it, especially with just 3 TD's rushing and 1 receiving.

This. I bet we already have one or two lined up, and if I had to make a guess, one of them is in the CFP as we speak. Maybe it's hope, I dunno, but I want to believe at least one will be Kewan Lacy. I'll be happy with Lacy or Baugh, or shit, both. We can use both to save mikeage for them going to the draft.

Tell Me About Texas a&m
I was here once, but after the last two seasons I've grown to love playing them because no matter how miserable my life can be at times, at least I'm not poor or aggy (they're redundant, I know). It's great beating their asses and watching them cry. The schadenfreude is too good to pass up now.

Man, if my aggy family were dicks I would have this made into a poster and framed and gifted to them, but fortunately they're 2%ers. I asked if they had ever heard of TexAgs and they have not. That's how you know they're realistic.

I didn't say those things. I have no idea if he does or doesn't, so I never said a word about it. All I've seen is in the past month is him firing coaches and adding better ones. PK and Akina were gone and the next day Muschamp was hired. Scott was fired and a week and a half later we hired the FL RB coach. As for the the drinking issues, I don't know anything about that other than the past. If he fell off the wagon he seems to have gotten back on it. I've seen other posters say he did, but I personally have no idea and I'm not feeding into a rumor.

I like Tre "I murder aggy's and sooners for fun" Wisner, but outside of those two, he's below average at best. Great teammate, and he can't help his limitations, but we need two bell cow RB's. Guys that can give and take punishment. Whatever he was asking isn't worth it if he's in the portal, and Sark knows that. I'm OK with it. Whatever gets this team over the hump, even if we let a player walk that we all like. The goal is to win a NC, not put our feelings into these guys that play for our team. They'll always be Longhorns, but they're already overpaid for what they haven't done coming out of HS. They're making more than almost literally most Americans who have worked their asses off to get where they are.

I would bet everything Sark and Jaluku have a plan. They aren't letting anyone walk without a plan, just like with PK and Muschamp. Just my opinion. Sark seems different this year. Like, missing the CFP really fucking irked him and he is finally cleaning house and getting his ducks in order. I like this Sark.
