  1. Two frat brothers of mine are terribad golfers but extremely competitive when playing against each other.  Their standing bet is a 12 pack of beer / all strokes counted.

We played a pine-lined course in Houston a few years back and they had their usual hackfest: spewing balls left and right, skulls, chili dips, missed 2 footers and worm burners.  It was pure gold as they are very good sports about it and fun to play with.

Coming into the 18th, one was up 11 strokes on the other.  The one that was down 11 presses for a full case of beer...remember he was down 11 strokes.

He came back to win the round and a full case of beer.  He won by 14 strokes.  That’s a 25 stroke turn around in one hole.

I and one other buddy witnessed it.  It was gut wrenching and hilarious at the same time.

Mixing Mossy Oak with two other whoknowswhat camo patterns?  How gauche.

Mossy Oak is for Georgia meatheads. Game Guard, Brush Country or Bushlan.

When you say "I think everyone telling me x is lying, and they really want y," how is it you think a conversation about x is even possible? You aren't having a conversation about x, you are having a conversation about y, because you think that's what the other party is doing, even if they really are wanting to talk about x. Therefore, you don't have to say, "we need to stop talking about x," because you were never talking about x to begin with.

Again, I never said "everyone."  I typed "a lot" and that may be incorrect.  Perhaps I should have typed "some."

I don't mind having a discussion about it, as evidenced by posting on this thread.

Do you really believe that "some" of those advocating for "just a little bit more gun control" are willing to stop at whatever point that is?  Sure, "some" will stop at that point because that is where they want to stop. Others won't and they see "just a little more gun control"  as a  stepping stone to continue on with more and more to the point of outright ban and potential confiscation; all the while realizing and being cunning enough to not actually state in the beginning what their end game is.  Others are outright banners from the get go and they are at least a respectable and known adversary.

Why is saying and thinking this so controversial?  Every one of you has listened to and read the words of some politician or advocate and have not taken their words at face value and in the back of your mind thought they were lying and not telling you the truth about what they really want.   What's wrong with being skeptical?  I guess its wrong when someone is skeptical about a position those calling me out agree with.

I do not want to stop the sale of firearms or confiscate from responsible owners.  I think if you were more honest,  you'd admit you have a lazy, bullshit opinion to convince yourself and others that we need to just stop talking about gun control.

Perhaps you are not one of the people that I was talking about.  To boot, I never said that we need to stop talking about gun control.  Did I?

On what do you base this? Anything from liberals themselves?

You're literally operating from a position of, "I'm not going to bother listening to people, instead I am going to pretend to know what they really want because they are lying."

    InfoWars logic

I said it is my opinion.  I have no scientific evidence and  have not polled anyone either. Do you deny their are some that couch their true desires?

Regarding the supposed position from which operating as you put it, that is complete BS.  You're putting words into my mouth that I did not say no type.  I never said or think that I won't bother listening to people.  I merely offered a personal opinion.  Sure, I could be wrong.  I could be right, too.

You're quite a combative person, BT.    Your blitzkreig replies to anyone that has a differing opinion from you is tiresome.

Lol.  A million instances of people talking about gun control, but if a gun nut hears one person say "get rid of the 2nd amendment" they use that as the official liberal stance.

I think if a lot of liberals are truly honest about their position on the 2A and firearms then they would admit that they want all firearms sales to private citizens completely stopped and firearms currently in the hands of private citizens confiscated.

All this talk about banning  "just AR's" and the like is just the first step.

I have no problem with them wanting that but I don't agree with that position.  I do think that a lot of these types are dishonest about their position.

  7. Idoits that come to a complete stop, put on emergency flashers and creep by doing 3 MPH at the site of a minor fender bender that is pulled off to the side of inbound Katy Freeway this morning.  After said idoit clears the scene they continue on at 3 MPH with flashers still on and keep looking at in their rearview mirror at minor fender bender.

Of course, I honk at them and they flip me off and then come to a complete stop again on the exit ramp at Silber.

Yes, it was a woman in a Porsche Cayenne.
