  1. Has our WR D. Moore ever not been hurt? We pick up Mosley - hurt. If our WR coach can't get a few of these 4/5* freshman ready - fire him. Flood should be replaced for many reasons. Akina - replace. The rest, don't care they aren't complete fuck ups like the above.
  2. Thank you, sir. Helps me wrap my brain around this OL problem in a meaningful way. And once again the Flood problem - bad eval. We can do better. One of the smartest post I've read on here, appreciate it.
  3. @LCHornthank you, sir. My friend, @TexasRenegadeI think with your knowledge. Support our almini. I've given what I can almost 500k. I wish I could do more but my own issues kinda suck.
  4. Guys, I'm just asking for more knowledge. @TexasRenegadeno reason for ad hominem attacks. @BurntOrange&White gave some thoughtful ideas. That is what I wanted to better understand the game. Nothing he said was against you, why attack him? I guess it's fun like a big dick contest but sometimes donating real fans are just asking innocent questions to think about more informed views.
  5. Oh, and that GT RB coach is very interesting imo. Not a chance on Rutgers guy. The GT guy would come into this program in awe and his head on fire to produce.
  6. Legit question. Stroh is 6.6, ~350lbs, a yard wide. In theory if he just gets low it's 2 seconds to get around him. Get a hand on them and it's a bonus 1-2 seconds? What makes a giant like him fail so badly? Speed, T-Rex arms, weak (he's got to have lower body strength just to walk at 350lbs), development, talent? Honest question. 2nd - I know many of you hit the gym. Is it easier to gain 40-50 of decent mass or lose 20-30 of bad mass? I was a swimmer, neither was a concern for me, so I have no idea. I just needed cardio. Thanks for input.
  7. I'd say T. Becton did this with S&C. It took what? 8 games to get the correct personnel in? It's not extreme. Flood and his recruiting after y1 is a disaster. Can we run for 1 yard on a 4 and 1 without Arch? No person on the OL got better other than bigger and stronger.
  8. Here's my Flood hatred summed up. Most here have had or maybe still have jobs. If you are given 4-5 years to get something done, you make a choice. If it's implement SAP - get out asap. Probably will bankrupt the company anyway. Otherwise, your choice is can do this or can't but have a 4 or so year runway to find a landing spot. I'm assuming you can lie to the Board on progress - maybe 2yrs. Flood is an absolute disaster after his first year.
  9. Flood is my #1 target to replace. 4 years for this OL shit? His recruiting is beyond terrible and keeps getting worse. #2 is Akina - just a bad fit. #3 would be Milwee but I've been told that's a no-go. Wtf does he even do or look like? No idea on WR or RB tbh. RB we're using a scatback as an all purpose back. WR - they don't seem to develop like other high rated prospects do.
  10. Yea, Turntine who is closer to TE size than OL. Let me know when he gains 40-50 lbs of good weight and moves to an IOL. Robertson who will need 2 years of body reshaping. Wright decommitting was probably a win.
  11. Flood is our biggest problem. 4 years to get a "next" OL together and this shit? His recruiting is terrible. Pure bread - nothing this class.
  12. Apparently, * Big humans* means fat slops.
  13. Not with Flood coaching and recruiting bread, my friend.
  14. I'm hoping Flood is done. Akina is a given. Flood had a great y1 OL class, had 4 years to get a "next" OL ready and we get this shit? Since y1 he has occasionally recruited 1 good prospect and then bread. Last year Brooks was the highlight. This year Robertson may after 2 years of body reshaping. Turntine is a jumbo TE at this point and needs 40-50lbs of good weight. Lee was a huge miss, I'd trade all our OL this class for him. The problem with this is if that if your one decent prospect misses or leaves after multiple years of paying him to ride the bench, you're screwed and relying on bread. I haven't seen anything to suggest OL development other than what T. Becton has done in S&C. Someone above said, maybe some of these guys have peaked? Yep, 3* bread has peaked. The amount of holds, no ability to open lanes or move people, bad pass protection, etc. This shit is on Flood and his shit recruiting of large (basically tall, very out of shape, super slow, fat people) humans.
  15. On their stadium comments. I was at DKR about 10 years ago (before the new Longhorn entrance) and every game from '91-97. I haven't been to as many of the stadiums as many of you. I went to aggy during that time - even that freezing game. My impression on DKR was - holy shit, this place is like the Galleria now. Colored and textured concrete with really classy stuff. Has this not been kept up?
  16. Do we have legit OT after Goosby and Baker? I think we may need an OT also?
  17. And poach some coaches from GT - I'd take their head coach too.
  18. Replace Flood, Milwee (what does he do? Only coach I have no clue what he looks like), we will see on Akina after this game. It won't happen but get a real OC and Sark scripts first 10 then hand over each half. Flood did great first year on getting talent. He had 4 years to get the next line ready and we have this... Bread and we continue to recruit bread projects. In the past two years we have one person that is OL semi ready in Brooks. Then all projects. Turntine included, he needs to gain 30-40 pounds of good weight to play and is really an IOL build. Lee was a huge miss. To save next year, if Sark doesn't portal a bunch of OL we are in trouble. These 3* projects are a no-go. There are only 2 OL I keep in this class - Turntine after 2 years maybe he helps, Robertson - 1-2 years.
  19. I by most accounts followed genetics and maybe am an alcoholic. Never drank at work or anything like that but when I got home, I'd drink way more than normal at times. Addiction, don't even feel it much. I choose this - also helps on nerve pain. Multiple Sclerosis - this is a bitch. Nerves go nuts, not sure day to day if I can walk or need to crawl to the bathroom. It's great for weight loss, can't get to kitchen. Tremors all over can't write usually. I didn't choose this. It is a disease. Who cares about the feel good funding articles.
  20. Absurd. You can be genetically disposed to be an alcoholic. I certainly am. Not the brightest minds to be honest but they get funding and write things that make people feel better. If you don't drink can you become an alcoholic? How is it a disease if it is self triggered and requires work to get there? It is an addiction. Can you be a druggie without using it first? Addiction that you may be genetically predisposed to have. Your mountains and these great minds are foolish to think otherwise. Diseases are not self triggered. But hey they get funding and make people feel better. Oh shit, I woke up and just got alcoholism as a disease! No matter I've been drinking a fifth of bourbon and a 12 pack for ten years 3x a day! It is an addiction like any other drug.
  21. @Nicole44 , thanks for the weather update. Scary, it favors aggy. Then again if Wiesner can pop out to the boundaries, they still don't have speed there. We're not going to get anything running in the middle. Just hope Arch is on. They have 2 WR we should have gone harder after that are very fast ... Akina - worried. Also, which Reed shows up? He's good for an int this game. We have to contain him with our missing LBs.
  22. I do think there is a difference between addiction and disease. By many of the posts any meth head/ nicotine/ heroin/ cocaine/ etc is a disease also - no it's an addiction. Addiction does not equal disease. There are drugs to help on addictions but diseases are different. Just imo. You don't wake up and... Oh, shit I've got alcoholism, damn. Never touched the stuff but I got it now - no addiction is what you have. A bit different than wake up and ... Oh, shit I got the Ebola, damn. Disease
  23. This was worth listening too, thank you. I have no idea why after first year we went after and got very good high rated OL. Back-up plan was mostly 3* JAGS. That is on Flood. PK needed a year to get players then his unit is greatness. Sark is a offense genius right? His unit has not been good. The BS of not portal for OL is beyond stupid. If we don't portal OL end of year - fire every offensive coach. Flood and Milwee (what the hell does he do?) should be replaced. Get a real OC and OL line coach. The big human shouldn't mean the tall fatass project with low talent. We are Texas and I'd trade our OL for many lower level schools. It's terrible.
  24. Get it but ... what the hell happened from 2022 (? I think it was with Banks, etc) to 3* projects now. I think a change is in order. This big human stuff doesn't mean get the fattest project guys possible that have low skills. And refuse to portal - ffs we have 2 guys that might work. Even Turntine needs 40lbs of weight in muscle - not fat.
  25. As with most coaches, but this has changed some - mid season etc. I don't think Sark is in danger but he does have to fix his house. Next year he's in trouble if not fixed and Milwee and Flood both.
