  1. Just got back from our excursion, we were lucky enough to have great weather in Southern Missouri, it was an amazing thing to see. If you didn't and ever get the chance, I can't recommend it enough. A couple of days later we were tracking back to Atlanta and went thru the middle of nowhere Arkansas and stopped for gas. I got a shirt well discounted that says "I got mooned in Arkansas". That was something that just screamed class, I had to have it.
  2. About 6 thousand years old, I'd guess.
  3. That must have been fascinating during the Great War era.
  4. Well, benefit of the doubt and all. I think we can definitely agree we can and should do better.
  5. Perhaps they are/were, and good for them if that is the case. However, he killed himself for fear of not being accepted. To me, this speaks of an underlying issue at play. We've come a long way on accepting people for who they are, but the fact that this man lived in such fear just tells me we have further to go. No one should live in fear for simply exercising their personal liberty. As I said earlier, this is nothing but a sad story, but if a positive can occur, hopefully more people in Alabama and frankly everywhere can learn from it.
  6. Just a sad story all the way around. I can't imagine the fear of living as this man pleased, only to be outed by some schmuck for seemingly nothing more than cheap publicity. Worse, the "reporter" seems to have zero remorse, what a winner. I could go on a lengthy diatribe about religion, lack of acceptance and love, and self loathing caused by this environment, but I'll skip it. I'll just say this, we should be better.
  7. I can't stop laughing at the thought of this. I've sat here pondering someone even coming up with that for while. Just wow.
  8. I'm gonna have to take exception to the Chili's shot. The chicken crispers are delicious.
  9. Tuscaloosa can be a strange place at times.
  10. I'm hoping we can see it in Western Illinois, because we are heading to Rushmore from there, but I will keep that in mind if we have to go further east (I think you are referring to the park in Indiana). Thanks for the heads up, we might end up there.
  11. We were heading to Arkansas on Saturday, but have now changed course and heading to St. Louis. We figure from there we can wait until Sunday evening to figure out if we are going to Illinois or Indiana, or if we are heading into southern Missouri. Forecasts change, hopefully it will clear up for all you folks further south and west and for everyone else.
  12. I've found only two things I find effective. 1. Simply ask them, "What if you are wrong?" and leave it at that, don't say anything else at all, walk away from it. (sometimes something that simple is what can shake a person's foundations (not very often though)). 2. Ignore them all together, which is my main go to. I go out of my way not to do business with anyone like this, and I go out of my way not to socialize with any of these people. When it comes to lost family, I have no idea what to tell you other than sorry, and know you certainly aren't alone. Your results may vary.
  13. No worries, I'm sure they have GAP ace Don Jr. working on it right now. Should be a real gem.
  14. Personally, I have my doubts, he'd fit right in with the MAGA grift crowd.
  15. Maybe he can triple Lindy off the turnbuckle.
  16. The question with that would be is the bond is less than what they stand to lose against the building(s) if liquidated. This may well be a case of either way we are screwed, but this is better for us sort of thing. If they take control after the fact it opens options for them down the line.
  17. All that is missing is "Oops I crapped my pants"
  18. So Axos may have had a choice, lose $175 million against book value right now, or potentially more on liquidated property right now. They may well still lose the same amount a few months from now, but at least for now they are able to kick the can down the road a bit. Do I have that right?
  19. Knight Specialty Insurance Group, can't say I've ever heard of them, though if their website is anywhere close to accurate they are gigantic. From just glancing around, they are big in the reinsurrance market, which I'll be honest, I really don't know anything about at all.
  20. The comparative economic model works.
  21. It'd be the like hitting a trifecta to me, a skill shot if you will.
  22. Time to start scouting who is unstable and going to turn 27 in 2027.
  23. Just remember, they didn't steal the crown jewels, they were conquered. From what I recall, they were quick to tell you this, and often.
  24. Speaking of the Jasper Mall, there is a bizarre documentary on it's decline. It features, and I'm not making this up, an Australian guy with a mix of an Australian and Alabama accent. It's the kind of place that would be perfect for a Kari Lake VP rally.
