  1. yeah, pretty obvious BV is not the guy taking them to the playoffs. I would not be surprised to see Tenn in the SEC champ. game.
  2. Looks like my passing yardage was 9 yards away!
  3. Not winning, but this is as close as I am going to come in one of these contests. I haven't looked at box score yet, imagine the total passing yards is within 50 of my prediction.
  4. Just had flashbacks to the bad year of Mack when Colt got injured in the game against 'bama. Colt's lighting it up, and we had soft spot on the schedule in November. It was time to take the training wheels off of Gilbert. Colt gives us a nice halftime lead, but what does Mack do? He has Gilbert hand off the entire 2nd half. Sark-you can prove you can be better than Mack ever dreamed. Sit Ewers next week, and let Arch play the entire game with the entire playbook, or 90% of the playbook! It is gonna take 2 deep at every position, so let's get the 2 deep experience at every position!!
  5. I think Quinn got injured on the handoff, don't remember exact except the handoff was kind of borderline late. After the handoff he got hit pretty hard.
  6. Light the tower for Arch!
  7. We have a Gibson! In my mind he is related to Daniel Gibson!!
  8. ..and on 3rd and 10 we should get the test.
  9. so I am so comfortable with this team, I am hoping Sark calls a pass that requires great control of the thumb, so we can find out for sure!
  10. game finally over, as the Washington D loses focus at the end. C'mon Belichek!
  11. ha!! Washington with a sucky call on 4th down gets stopped!!
  12. upcoming 4th and goal from the 2? Apple cup on the line... closer to the one. TO Washington.
  13. Colt's better than the ref!!!
  14. woohoo, and. strike thrown by the WSU QB. First down.
  15. Washington State has 6:00 on the clock and a lead. My favorite part of the game, when a team with a lead has the ball and needs to run out the clock. Will they pass or stay conservative? They only need about 3 first downs.
  16. Hope I am not copying anybody...Texas 55-missed extra Point, and UTSA 9- our 2nd string D gives up points passing yards Ewers-222, Arch 167, others 29
  17. Texas 37 MIch 36 Rec yards 299
  18. Re, someone a while back remarked about the need to consider that water is going to be tough to find in the future. My retirement preference Texarkana offers low real estate prices and lots of square footage for the money. Ex, right now there is a 2-2, 1700 s. f. home with a detached garage @ 85k. Throw in rainfall collection, even if just from the house and depending upon the efficiency of the rainfall collection, I would guess the home value doubles in 10 years. Big city lot by today's standards, .32 acre. Any experts on how to estimate price of rainfall collection? Is it something that once you put it in is set and forget or is there maintenance every so often? Does it only make financial sense for outside watering or would it work for inside water use as well?
  19. To the OP, can you compare Northwest Arkansas to Texarkana Arkansas?: I am strongly considering Texarkana Arkansas for similar reasons: a. affordable taxes - property tax rate is one of the lowest in the country and state income taxes are 0, unique to Texarkana, my guess is they want to compete with the 0 state taxes on the Texas side. b. small town part of medium sized area - metro area of 200k+ c. quick air commute to DFW, and even drive to DFW if desired- 5 -6 hours d. affordable real estate e. at least three seasons. I am guessing compared to a big city the restaurant scene is 0 in Texarkana, but you certainly cannot have everything. Would you say Arkansas has a winter? I lived in Sherman TX one year and we had enough winter to have snow. That is enough winter for me.
  20. Good news: last two times at Tacquira Datapoint confirm this is some really good Tex-Mex. They've lost their good looking ladies for the most part, but there is still one that really does it for me. Lunch special is the only thing I will eat there, cuz I'm cheap. $9.99 cash price, plus 20% tip and tax, and the special includes tea. Ate lunch special at 4:00 p.m. the other day, which is really great as well. First time was Chile relleno and second time beef enchiladas. I've eaten there only twice this summer, trying not to get burnt out. Bad news: Bill Miller, the wife wanted chicken from BM today. She is picky, has to have breast. I found the hack on the chicken sandwich, ordered the chicken sandwich for me to eat while the wife sleeps. BM accidentally gives me both the fries and the pintos. I ate there. Combo meal under $9. Yes! But then I ordered the four piece chicken to go and offered to pay extra to get two breasts, didn't look and came home to 2 thighs and 2 backs. Called manager, he offered to make it good, went over there and turns out they don't know what a breast is. Looked like someone took a hacksaw to a breast and I had two half breasts. Oh well. I need to find either a chicken express or golden chick. They probably exist here, just haven't looked yet.
  21. After giving blood, I hinted about the blanket or whatever I was to receive for donating. The lady replied that my wife took that stuff, and I later noticed 2 $10 coupons for Rudy's BBQ. I just took a look at their online menu.....and the outrageous pricing. I think I will solve this by ordering 1/3 pound of brisket for $8.68 + tax. I guess that is 3 slices of brisket. I wonder if they even throw in onions or pickles or anything, probably not. I guess you can tell by now I haven't paid for brisket in about 4 years. My brother-in-law is a competition brisket smoker, and I wrote a ridiculously high check for an entire brisket: smoked, sliced, and sealed very well 4 years ago. My wife brought it up to Alaska and we had about 4 brisket meals.
  22. One at a time. It is obvious to me why, after experiencing the place. This is a very large dining room, reminded me of Luby's. Property taxes and all other kinds of overhead are way too expensive to stay open. Probably all be gone in 18 months or less.
  23. Went to give blood with the old lady late this morning, at the HEB on 1604 and Bandera. On the way saw a tour of retro places to eat. Luby's, Jim's, and Taco Cabana all within shouting distance of each other. I realized a while back Jim's is closing and I have never eaten there, so I suggested Jim's after blood draw, and it was absolutely acceptable. I picked three favorites from my time at Luby's in the 90s, Beef Liver and onions, Mac, and fried okra. Food hot, acceptably seasoned, nice meal. The old lady picked a senior omelette. Price was acceptable for me, after tip, $28. The bad news came after the meal, when I went to the bathroom. Urinal did not flush, Tragedy by Bee Gees was most appropriately playing, and I soon discovered why. Cockroach in the bathroom. There is a reason Jim's are closing.
  24. Haven't read thread. Do we simply hire the winner of tonight's game?
  25. how about some Mexican grocery store recommendations?
