  1. Saw the offspring last night at dos equis in dallas. The show was a lot of fun. The intro was a lot like an nba intro with a fuck you cam, bootie shake cam, and kiss cam. We all know the coldplay punchline to the kiss cam but it still hit pretty well.

They played the hits and had various accessories for songs like giant blow up skeletons, a blimp, giant beach balls, streamer cannons, and a giant video board. The band engaged with the audience quite a bit. It was a lot like a flaming lips show.

The lead singer has lost a step or two with his vocals. He could hit the notes but it wasn’t as powerful as years past. The drummer is new and is fantastic. He did a short solo that was dope. Everyone around me was talking about it.

They did a tip of the cap to ozzy and covered crazy train. That was pretty cool. They followed it with a cover of the ramones. I mean how often do you get to see a guy with bleach blonde hair and a phd in molecular biology do a cover of “i wanna be sedated” with a dude in a gorilla mask running across the stage with a sign that says “I wanna be…”

    Fun stuff.

    Double decker of stupidity.

It lowers the anxiety (but not frustration) with where we are when you accept how many people in this country are just dumb. They don't understand jokes or look at globes. Impossible to get anywhere with these people.

My MIL was shocked when she couldn’t see michigan from the top of the sears tower. “It looks so close on a map.” My wife and I still laugh about that stupidity.

My family doesn’t get a free pass. My niece figured that visitors to hawaii could drive there on a bridge because “It looks so close on a map.” She has a doctorate.

Dipshit magats are a fucking caricature of themselves. They look exactly like we think they would look. Uneducated, racists dipshits. The only thing we're missing from the video is a fat, bald, goatee dipshit wearing Nascar sunglasses.

    How it started.

    How it ended.

This is what this thread was made for. Schadenfreude. Delicious schadenfreude.

The people who called Michelle Obama a communist for suggesting that school meals be healthier, and Michael Bloomberg a fascist for trying to limit sales of soda by the bucket, are now totally on board with the federal government imposing healthy food requirements. Cool, cool, cool. I bet the new found "maha" brigade would still scoff at the concept of "food deserts" which are a very real problem, because woke, dei, or some shit. I fucking hate this country.

Republicans are disingenuous pieces of shit

Republican Sen. Mike Lee's pornography ban is moving forward in the Senate

The law would alter the Miller Test. The test defines obscenity as material that … lack serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value."

This is a flawed argument. As once posited many moons ago by pronghorn, the question still remains: how does the ass take the length? Science.

All these reports of Las Vegas being empty are great. Nevada, you wanted this. You voted for the cunt and his policies. That combined with your own arrogance over thinking people will always pay up to come to Vegas put you in this position. Maybe overbuilding and overleveraging yourselves was a bad idea. I'll spend my vacation dollars in blue states like California, Colorado, and Washington.

I vacationed in maine a couple weeks ago and drove past two no kings protests with about 50 people each in small coastal towns. One was in Wells on a monday and the other in Damriscotta on a friday.

Interestingly enough, there are many US flags and banners in those maine coastal towns. However, I didn’t get the maga vibe with them. It felt more nautical because ships at sea fly the flag of the country that they’re registered. It was very nice seeing the american flag all over and not getting the maga fake patriotism vibe.

I also met a couple of people visiting from scotland at portland head light. We were both shockingly lucky to get parking spots right by the lighthouse. Right time right place kinda thing. Everyone else was parking several hundred yards away. We both looked at each other and laughed like we found some cheat code and started chatting with each other. I thanked them for coming to the US on vacation. I try to be a bit of an ambassador when I meet people on vacation here from other countries.

One of the shops in Damriscotta doesn’t shy away from the dangers we face.

The store was packed with shoppers. I chatted with the owners briefly. They would fit in here.

I picked this up at their shop. It’s the size of a pack of cards. I like maine.
