Sell him to Fulham since they sold us Carvalho.
Not a bad shout. Would probably do really well there, though I'd kinda be surprised if we got that kinda fee from Fulham.
-
Just the hat trick of Ballon d'Ors and CL titles in the next three years then? Seems reasonable.

I liked Arlo but Drury is probably the best in the business right now. I'd love to think it had to do with the Saudi flub but I have a hard time swallowing that.

Outs
Origi is heading to Milan. Mané is almost certainly on his way to Munich. Taki? I think he sticks around and fights for more minutes but I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted a move abroad.
I also would not be terribly surprised to see us sell Gomez. Great player, when healthy, and he's filled in admirably for Trent, but I think a more like-for-like backup RB will be one of our moves this summer. Gomez deserves first team football and he's our fourth-choice CB at the moment, which has to be frustrating as hell. I don't know what kind of fee we'd ask but he's one of England's most promising young defenders and if Arsenal paid £50M for Ben White, Gomez has to be worth at least £60M. Obviously we won't get that kind of money for him but if the price is right I don't think we block a move.
Don't know what's going on with Adrian but I'm not terribly concerned with our third-string keeper.
I thought I heard Milner was about to sign a one-year extension.
Ins
Mané has to be replaced, and someone needs to soak up those Origi minutes. Carvalho is in and he looks the part, though it's a lot to ask of him to step up into our first team.
I would love Jarrod Bowen but he's going to cost like £75M due to the English/PL tax and I don't see us paying that. Lots of promising attackers in Portugal right now, a league that Julian Ward has led the scouting on for years, and Darwin Nunez is the dream. Could see us splashing the cash on him over Bowen but he's less versatile than our usual attacking profile.
Lots of chatter that we'll bring in Calvin Ramsay as Trent's back-up. Based solely on YouTube clips, he looks very much in the mold of an attacking full back. Pretty wicked left boot on him too.
Looks like we missed on Tchouameni but PSV sources are saying that we're going to sign Ibrahim Sangaré, who sounds somewhere between Yaya Toure and Fabinho, in terms of playing style. We desperately need cover for Fabinho so this would be fantastic.
Anything else I'm missing?

What MLS team does Bale end up at?

What a fucking season, What a club. I love you all. This week as a Texan has been an absolute kick in the balls so win or lose LFC has been a great escape. See y’all back in August. @mdmost or @maninblack please feel free to start the new thread.
Well? Were waiting . gif

I think most people are missing the reason that Mbappe stays at PSG has more to do with him being able to play an extremely easy domestic schedule which probably adds years to his longevity.
Good point. Also, he won't have to play any games after the Champions League quarterfinals adding even more years to his longevity.

Less than 50? Wtf?
He's entering the final year of his contract. I hope he extends, but if he doesn't I'm not sure it even makes sense to sell him. He's not really replaceable, given that he's suddenly become the best #9 in the squad.

I still can't believe what happened yesterday. Obviously sucks to break 90 points and not win the title but holy shit that was dramatic as hell and thoroughly enjoyable. Villa gave it a helluva go.

This is the third time in the last decade that our PL title hopes come down to the final day of the season, with us needing a result and some help from another club. Third time lucky plz.

What's Taki's contract situation? With Origi off, we need a guy who's okay with not being a nailed-on starter but can score us some big goals. Taki seems to fit that bill, even if he's not really a stylistic change/plan B like Divock is. He's still kinda struggling for a position in Klopp's system – less so than his first couple of seasons here – but his finishing is pretty damn good.
His goal yesterday was pretty incredible, both in the strike and also what it meant for the team.

lmao Martin Tyler and the other comm raving about Callum Wilson's deadly finish even though it clearly went off Ben White.

Newcastle look up for it. Arsenal look toothless.

Is it? I think our odds of winning the CL are much higher and pushing these guys too much might kill both options.
Play a B squad on Tuesday, and see how the chips fall.
A win keeps our PL title hopes alive. Sure, they're slim, but if you have a chance to win the league, you have to go for it. I'm not advocating for us playing anyone who went 120 minutes on Saturday, but I think you put out as good a squad as you can and go hell for leather.
-
Lineup tomorrow will be interesting. You probably have to rest every outfield player who went 120 minutes on Saturday, plus Salah and Virgil who have slight injury concerns, but it's still an absolute must-win. I'd be surprised if Firmino didn't start and I'd definitely play either Curtis or Harvey and Tsimikas and Jomez as our fullbacks. I'd like to see Ox get a chance against his former club and as a bit of a swan song but he always looks terribly rusty whenever he gets a spot start.
City are still heavy favorites to win the PL but three points tomorrow means we go into the final day of the season with a puncher's chance and it's hard to be mad at that.

Trivia time: Can you name the last year(s) Liverpool pulled a double?
2019-20 when we won the Club World Cup and the league?

This was the first FA Cup Final I ever watched and Stevie's last-gasp strike is forever burned into my brain. In the conversation for my favorite goal ever.

The kids are definitely in tow. They'll be 13 and 11. They don't eat anything interesting. They want burgers, chicken tenders, pizza. Fuck them. I'm not catering to their interested on my fucking vacation. Give me all your restaurant recs.
We're in DT because I got a killer rate at the Bonaventure. And it's reasonably centrally located. So that's kind of what we settled on.
You could do a lot worse than spending a morning/afternoon in Silver Lake, which is the now-yuppified former hipster capital of the West Coast. Still has some of the old charm of the neighborhood and there's great people watching and some of the best food in L.A. Park and stroll up and down Sunset Blvd, pop into some cool boutiques, walk some crazy staircases, etc. It's not far from downtown and you can park your car and do mostly everything on foot, a rarity for L.A.
Great (pretentious) coffee options abound in Silver Lake, or you could hit Cafe Tropical, which is an old school spot with mediocre coffee and good, quick breakfast sandwich options.
Brunch at All Day Baby, a newish spot that gets busy, but if you're there at like 10am on a weekday it shouldn't be a problem. Lots of options for the 11 and 13-year old there.
La Sorted's – fantastic pizza and incredible sandwiches. Everything on the menu is great.
Get burgers at Burgers Never Say Die, then head to the Silver Lake Reservoir. Really cool mid-century architecture all around the reservoir and good people watching. Or hit up For the Win for the best smash burgers in town. That's in Hollywood, just off the 101. Keep an eye out for Tom Cruise, since it's right by the Scientology Celebrity Center (yes, that's the real name, truly a weird place).
A trip to L.A. would be remiss without hitting up some taco trucks. Great ones all over, but Ruso's #1 gets my vote as the best in town right now and it's also in Silver Lake, on Sunset in the back of the Sweetfin parking lot.
A Dodgers game would be fun. Chinatown is right by the ballpark and lots of great food options there. Also right by Highland Park Brewery, which is arguably the best beer in L.A. right now.
Have fun – L.A. is fucking great. Just make a point to not try and do too much driving – if you're not a local and don't know the traffic patterns or routes to take, it can be brutal.

My Arsenal friends are blowing up the group chat complaining about Harry Kane fouling Gabriel and I mean, I get it, it's a big game, but I literally laughed out loud when I read that.
But I read on this message board that it's Liverpool fans who complain incessantly about the refs.

We need someone to spell Fabinho and Trent, though Ramsay looks to be almost done and that will take care of the latter. The fact that we were in for Tchouameni means we're almost certainly signing a #8 and there were a few rumors last week about Ibrahim Sangaré being that guy. PSV fans rave about him and said he's been their most important player.
