  1. Come on ya'll. Need to score on these Tuesday night games, give our Tuesday guys some slack.
  2. We'll see. A few of them clearly want to step up. We need to follow them and tell the others to fuck off. Then people will see where the wind is blowing. Or not. But it is up to us to make them, they sure as fuck won't do it on their own.
  3. What is he doing in Michigan? Whatever she is hoping he is going to do for her, she better be ready to be disappointed.
  4. I don't mind people annoyed we elected such an old dude in 2020. It just drives me nuts then many of the same people elected an equally old dude in 2024.
  5. That is certainly going to have a chilling effect. It is like suggesting defense attorneys are obstructing justice and enabling crime.
  6. It was done by activists and shows the danger of just sidelining and ignoring the progressive wing to just do whatever. Because they will do whatever. They need to have their leaders in the Democrats so that they can have their energy directed in productive directions to actually achieve progressive ends. Because "defund the police" was not an own goal in the sense that it was the result of a strategy that backfired. It was the result of no strategy. No leadership. So the void was filled.
  7. Wish we had elected Gore and gotten that lockbox for Social Security. Plus I bet the budget would have stayed balanced. Instead we elected deficits, wars, and deregulation leading to world wide economic disaster. And somehow the Republicans were only punished for it all for only a few years before rushing back to unleash more catastrophe in 2010.
  8. Yep. And why I believe all the mistakes of this administration will eventually just be blamed on Biden and Democrats. Trump went back on his own trade deals acting like Biden did them. Now his own programs are being blamed on Biden. Eventually the tariffs will be blamed on Democrats.
  9. These people exist. We have Andy Beshear, we have Roy Cooper and on and on. But here is the deal: you can't just find those people and anoint them. They have to step up and take the leadership. So far people like that seem content to just stay in their fiefdoms.
  10. So the strategy is to support Donald Trump so his supporters will decide to vote Democrat? Surely the plan should be to convince his supporters to not be his supporters anymore by ruthlessly attacking him. How did people so incompetent and horrible at politics have any success in political careers? Frankly the fact Chuck has not been removed from his position is a devastating indictment on the incompetence and complacency of the Democratic Party.
  11. Jesus Christ. We are fucked.
  12. Yeah? We'll see. This administration's primary thing seems to be reminding them they are not.
  13. Insultin' the gays? Let me clutch my pearls!
  14. Hey! Don't nab our construction crews! Home prices were finally going down.
  15. It makes dear leader look bad.
  16. I know. There seems to be this weird conflation with DEI efforts and affirmative action. The whole point of DEI is supposed to be to ensure bias and racism doesn't get in the way of merit based hiring. And what is most infuriating is we all spent our entire lives being told "it's not what you know, it's who you know" and the importance of "networking". It has always been about hiring people you know and your friends and relatives. The whole idea that hiring has been this pure amazing merit-based thing is kind of ridiculous.
  17. This estimate will be labeled and hostile and political act.
  18. Just glad they aren't changing the label to the "Biden Tax" or something. Just let all the prices go up.
  19. I still think Flores is the answer for Sundays, despite what happened last week.
  20. It was obvious from the beginning for anybody who knows anything about government. Ultimately DOGE's actions are going to cost us a lot of money. Though we won't have much of that soon.
  21. This whole strategy of "wrecking industries and then giving them lots of money we don't have" seems unsustainable. He was angry Musk got more power he did. But I think he is seeing where the wind is blowing now.
  22. Well ok maybe that puzzling red shift in the valley might reverse...or not. I don't know what is going on down there. Presuming we still have fair and free elections in Texas moving forward.
  23. To the cult, every negative consequence of Trump's regime is the result of a conspiracy by his enemies.
  24. We'll see how performative it is. A weird amount of suggestions that local and state control of law enforcement will be stripped away and placed under federal control.
  25. Not to mention the fact that the 2015 season was disastrous, besides that one fluke run through the Big 12 tournament.
