  1. That’s not the one where North Texas ate up the Longhorn running game is it?
  2. The 5 vs. 15 had to be the only thing on his mind. With 5 seconds, your FG team needs to be out there either way. I mean, unless you want to spike to have the attempt under more control, but that wasn’t the call. Which, again, has to mean he thought there were 15 seconds on the clock.
  3. I mean, the easy flip side to that one is just run more of what’s already on tape. If you want to get super tricky, run stuff to jack with down and distance tendencies. I absolutely understand why he did what he did and have no issue with it. I’d also have had no issue with Manning running the real offense for a quarter.
  4. I always spell out Sarkisian and only check the game thread after the win. But, yes, I am now sober.
  5. Three passes after the 31st point.
  6. I understand why Sarkisian did what he did. I’d also have understood letting Manning run the game plan at full speed against a legit defense.
  7. True, but it’s rarely so stark as when the guy who predicted a 50-7 win says, “oh, fuck, Sark, this isn’t looking good at all” with a third and eight on the opening possession.
  8. I wonder if that’s the shirtless guy’s woman who walks up there. If it is, though it’s hard to be 100% sure from that video, it looks like 1) she’s out of his league and 2) she’s seen him get his ass whipped before.
  9. It was. He did. That’s not the same as “struggling.” It shouldn’t be this hard.
  10. Don’t confuse “tough question” with “stupid question.”
  11. I still feel like ends badly for him.
  12. No, I’m just petty and pedantic. Which, now that I think about it, probably explains why I’m here.
  13. First, “no” is less, and “no” doesn’t fit with the other two comparatives. Parallel sentence structure is a good thing.
  14. I think “good game plan” often gets confused with “good execution” and vice versa (yeah, there’s some interaction between the two), but the “fuck it, we’ll gas your stud DTs, then target their replacements” was greatness, even apart from everything else. Not that it is necessarily revolutionary, but that it all fit together so seamlessly.
  15. I get that some people hate it, but that’s one of the coolest things in college football, imo. Less Deion, more War Chant, better college football.
  16. Didn’t say. Said Niblett needs to step up more like Wisner and Gibson, so I infer that Blue won’t do much, if anything.
  17. He should learn Helm’s name, though.
  18. When you’re looking at even a Temu Mock vs. VY scenario, it shouldn’t be a hard choice for you. You already know what you have and the ceiling is so low people have to duck.
  19. Didn’t he rag doll their RT at least once? Sarkisian mentioned that he’d been holding the edge against the run and that teams are going to have to try something different. I inferred that he felt like that would provide even more opportunities.
  20. It counted down to 11:15, then…
  21. Poll inertia. It’s a funny thing.
  22. What is this bullshit? It shouldn’t be this complicated to try to watch a press conference.
  23. The tension between “Sark was 5-7 in his first year” with the implied “look where the sips are now” and “the sips aren’t that good” is something to behold.
  24. I think “far more likely to lose both than win both” turns more on the UGA game than the Wisconsin game.
