  1. What I lack in quantity of coherent predictions, which is substantial, I make up for in quality.
  2. Which is a shame, because his name screams Vanderbilt to me.
  3. Would he, in your opinion, look better if TCU were doing well? I tend to think probably not.
  4. Not upset about this at all. Hope for all involved that his shoulder stays good to go.
  5. How many of the 15 are core contributors to what TCU has done? If I have to choose between my 23 year old 3 star OL having to learn a new system or my 19 year old 5 star freshman learning it or my 20 year old sophomore with a year in the system, I take the 23 year old guy. Almost every single time. Probably over the likes of Banks, and he’s a couple of standard deviations badass. Now, skill positions other than QB, maybe not so much. But, yeah, the portal could very well be the new, or additional, JUCO method of building a team. Before we cast a bust of Dykes, though, let’s remember Duggan is playing only because the guy he wanted to start got hurt.
  6. The “negative recruiting against us will stop because TCU can show that 84 year long droughts can stop” is a strong one. Also the “I haven’t developed a strong hate for Georgia.” Maybe because you’ve played them as many times as Texas has since you joined the conference.
  7. It seems to me that this kind of reality, similar to the current Big 12, is what will eventually drive something like a 64-team super division. I could see this leading to much more difficult schedules, more losses by top teams, and something closer to the NFL playoffs.
  8. What does that have to do with star ratings, which is the only thing that matters unless your coach is awful? No wonder he got fired.
  9. Yeah, I'm not saying Georgia is unbeatable. I think Georgia's A game is probably 21+ points better than TCU's A game. Georgia's C game could get them beat. Who the hell knows which version of any team is going to show up for any given game? There'd be a lot more millionaires posting here if that were easy to know.
  10. If Kansas State can do it, Georgia can do it. TCU’s best showing might have been the way they beat Iowa State. Outside of that — and the beating of probably the worst OU team since Blake was around, but who didn’t do that — they couldn’t put down any team with a pulse. I mean, absolutely, they get credit for winning close games and a win is a win, but it doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence from my perspective. We’ll find out soon enough, but I’m thinking Georgia run-rules them.
  11. Beating the 49ers is going to be a tall order for any team still out there, regardless of when Purdy was drafted, or anything else.
  12. At least they haven’t just on the fly changed how playoff game locations are determined.
  13. Washington on the run, especially with the halftime adjustments!
  14. If this weren’t the Cowboys, I’d say that teams that dominate but let the opponent hang around often end up regretting it. That said, I’d really love a TD here for all the 13-7 halftime “we’re rolling now” vibes.
  15. I’m not interested in it reflecting well on state talent that isn’t playing for the Longhorns.
  16. Are we sure all this talk about playoff seeding didn’t cause Dallas to mistake this for an actual playoff game?
  17. I’m more likely to get in a crash than he is, under your stipulations, to have the same thing happen again.
  18. I’ve walked away from more than one totaled sport bike with more than a handful of broken bones and a population of oblivious drivers and didn’t stop riding. Racers of all types have likely had nontrivial wrecks. If it’s something you love, you go back. If it’s a paycheck, maybe not.
  19. Well, hell, then, hire Hooks and let him bring Stewart with him.
  20. I’m hoping for 14 games of almost every call and every break going TCU’s way getting repaid in this one game. Every game is its own thing, but I don’t expect TCU to have any more success on offense against Georgia than they did against Texas, with fewer missed holding calls and fewer chances for a flopping punter to be able to create the equivalent of turnovers.
