  1. I won’t click on it, but does it say “breaks” for a reason other than just being the wrong word?
  2. That feels more like a prediction of failure because Sarkisian is a boat anchor than a prediction of a win, though.
  3. We get it, Kurt, you’re not a homer. Still an idiot, but not a homer. Milk that schtick until they wheel you out.
  4. Noted. I have enough terrible opinions of my own without wanting to wallow in more as a result of terrible questions.
  5. What should Texas being doing more aggressively at the moment? There’s always the risk, I suppose, of dim bulbs who think tying Syracuse is as good as it gets will be in charge at some point, but that’s not really an SEC-related issue.
  6. Are the same people saying both things? That would be a little incongruous.
  7. I think Weigman and a redshirting Manning have exactly the same odds of winning the Heisman.
  8. “How would you feel if everything you bought or earned ended up on social media” as part of the NIL deal that got you the stuff in the first place. I mean, what do “N,” “I,” and “L” stand for, anyway? I feel like maybe he doesn’t understand the concept. Or I don’t.
  9. Normal human offensive special assistant to the head coach.
  10. I agree it’s bolder than being the edgy pessimist, since that position here is filled with about 50 more in line. We’ll see if 2023 Sarkisian with an increasingly stacked roster gives the same results y’all like to point to in the past.
  11. All of which, the QB position maybe a bit less of a big deal than their losses on the lines, though their offense without Young would have to get out of the wheelchair to be pedestrian, is why I think Texas handles them. Maybe manhandles them, depending on how well the new backs can handle it. I don’t think it will hurt that Texas can go in knowing, not hoping, that they can give Alabama all they want.
  12. Luckily 10 (plus) wins sounds about right. Beating Alabama on the road and beating OU’s ass again should get the buzziness going. Hopefully it will be maintained through the beatable dregs like Tech and Oklahoma State, if the latter still has enough guys to field a team.
  13. If there’s anything good that can come from a thread like this — not that “this sucks, sorry for what you’re going through” is useless, but there’s only so much they can do — this is one of them. My biological father is a useless cunt. The guy who married my mother and took responsibility for three kindergarten and younger kids is my real dad. He’s the one who sat in the cold and rain watching me play football. Sat in the sun watching me play baseball. Jetted home from work when he was tired AF to take me to practice rather than crashing on the couch like I know he wanted to. Gave me what I needed to be an even better dad than he was so I could help my kids be better parents than I have been. And we aren’t the hugging and saying I love you type, though my kids and I are. I got my last name changed to his. There are gestures but not a lot of words. Well, fucking dementia is starting to eat him alive. This Christmas I told him I love him and I’ve always appreciated what he’s done for me even if I haven’t always said so or even acted like it sometimes. It’s weird but it changed everything and changed nothing at the same time. Can’t explain it. Do recommend it.
  14. Dallas was in something like 10 of the first 13 NFC championship games. “Some success”?
  15. I think the Lions and Jaguars both win a Super Bowl before Dallas gets another one.
  16. I mean the Dallas possession after the catch in SF.
  17. Fair enough, but you can’t win one if you don’t play in one. Perhaps the worst part is that no one would give a rat’s ass about “The Catch” without the failure afterwards.
  18. Dallas scored one time with Pollard. Are you suggesting Prescott threw that idiotic pass because Pollard wasn’t in the game?
  19. Could Texas get the same level of coaching/recruiting with a replacement making Davis’ salary?
  20. Not a fight song, but does erry damned high school still play some version of this?
  21. You’re going off on a tangent. Losing Pollard was crippling. Not having OBJ — the subject of the question — wasn’t. I’m not acting like they got blown out. The game was there to win. They failed. Largely because of QB play.
  22. Too late to edit the other one. To be clear, losing Pollard was the kill shot and much more impactful than whether a hypothetically 100% ready-to-play receiver had been available. Dallas has much better chance of winning with Pollard. Idiotic mistakes were more the downfall than anything else, but losing Pollard was right behind that.
