That is crazy. Where I live if you were in college you went to college parties or the bars. Maybe a year overlap but no 3. I sure as hell wouldn't be caught dead at a HS party when I was in college.

    This.

Maybe someones older brother or sister might be around, but that was about it.

The report refers to asking two “relevant questions” which refers to the “meat”. The baseline questions would. It be referred to as the “relevant questions”, IIRC.

My question was would two, very simple, relevant questions be normal for a polygraph?

And is, "are you lying"** a common relevant question?

I was at a party where that happened in hs. I don’t know how many boys, I didn’t participate. But, and I hate to type these words, she was a willing participant. I got to know her pretty well over the next couple years. She never said anything but that that’s how she wanted to welcome herself to a new school. She had MASSIVE daddy issues.

Which is completely different than drugged train rape.

I'm going to respond to this without any animosity because I think it's important that you understand.

I wasn't part of the social world involved, but I briefly attended an east coast boarding school a few years later (around 1990), and have some familiarity with the world of Brett Kavanaugh as it was in his high school days.

I had no direct knowledge but I occasionally heard about events like the woman (Julie Swetnick) described. At that time, what she's talking about wasn't broadly understood to be gang rape. In the stories I heard, the victim was cast as a sort of plaything or willing participant, usually branded as a slut, and afterwards attained an extremely toxic and imprisoning sort of popularity that often culminated in substance abuse, depression and leaving school destination unknown.

I wasn't anywhere near the East Coast private schools.  Of the public schools I attended each had the urban legend of the girl a few classes ahead who "did" the XXXXX team.

That's not to say its never happened.

Polygraphs are pseudoscience.  As I said earlier, you might as well give someone a tarot card reading.  It doesn't mean her allegations are false; it just means it is useless information for giving any indication either way.

Be that as it may, what is reported above really struck me as being extremely brief in regards to questions.

Only experience I have with polygraphs what is portrayed on movies and tv.

Something new come out in high school?

When I was in high school there was a story from the crosstown high school that the entire football team had pulled a train on one of the cheerleaders who was intoxicated. I remember thinking at the time, as a 17 year old, "wild" but obviously a very disturbing thing. This does happen.

Every town has that, or similar, urban legend.

I am sure it has happened.

It's only Wednesday, at this rate you'll get what you want soon enough. I mean I think Avenatti is a publicity-seeking asshat but he said he had this sworn statement and he appears to have it, so I'm not sure it's safe to assume that the part in that statement claiming there are multiple corroborating witnesses willing to speak is false.

If so then he is done, obviously.

What is Avenatti's motivation to wait?  Why deliver part of a kill shot and not the whole thing?

Yeah, it’s ridiculous to think Kavanaugh was the only way to have a 5-4 conservative majority.  If anything, he was the candidate most in the Bush world political hack establishment circle that Trumpkins hate.

I do find it strange that now the people who have been supporting him say it’s time to dump him.  Of course, obviously if he committed gang rapes he should be punished and shouldn’t be anywhere near SCOTUS.   But at first blush this new accusation seems way more farfetched and unlikely to be credible than the Ford and Ramirez claims.

Michael Avenatti alleging a repeat gang rape ring that never was reported seems more credible to Trumpkins than Ford and Ramirez?  Maybe it ends up that way, but sometimes I feel like this conspiracy theories on the right have warped people’s brains as to what they should and should not be skeptical about.

Totally agree.  Would be REALLY nice for someone other than an accuser(husband and therapist don't count) to provide some corroboration on any of these claims.

  9. In my view the American Dream is the opportunity and freedom to develop your success(financial or otherwise) based on your own efforts, not on your birthright.(and i realize some who claim to have lived the AD were born on third base)

Absolutely, it takes a functioning society as a foundation for the opportunity of the American Dream.
