That is fascinating.  I suppose none of the individual defendants would ever appear as they would not be extradited even if convicted, which I guess everybody, including Mueller, knew and expected.

But the corporation, which isn't subject to imprisonment, only fine (and that I suppose dubiously enforceable itself), appears and presses the issue.

No harm to Mueller really to dismiss the corporate defendants.

    Is the last sentence sarcasm?

Mueller dropping charges is a death rattle.  It paints any subsequent charges as questionable.

Serious question, how many of y'all have been sexually taken advantage of by a female while you were under the influence?

Honestly, I came to from passing out drunk being ridden by a chubby stalker who had a thing for me in college once.  I remember passing out alone.  I in no way consented to what happened and I actually stopped it mid process.  She was really embarrassed and I didn’t make it a bigger issue than stopping it.

I am behind the paywall, so can you please quote the section where the linked article confirms "The fucking Russians paid Cohen directly to pay off hush money payments to Stormy Daniels..."

    It doesn’t.

  4. It is unclear whether that or any of the other transactions were improper, but Mr. Avenatti has asserted that Mr. Cohen’s use of Essential Consultants potentially violated banking laws. The financial records indicate that at least some of the money that passed through Essential Consultants was from sources and in amounts that were inconsistent with the company’s stated purpose.

The fucking Russians paid Cohen directly to pay off hush money payments to Stormy Daniels and others during the height of the campaign.  What the fuck else do you need?

Something beyond the word of Stormy Daniels attorney.

  6. Actually quite candid and forthcoming.

Trump is and was winging it.  At this point there is going to have to be smoking gun evidence directly on Trump to end his presidency.  He sure as fuck isn’t resigning over payment to Stormy or one of his kids talking to Russians.

  7. I honestly don’t care if Mueller gets Trump or not.

I don’t buy the Mueller supercop long game narrative.   He is going to end up with a comprehensive report of innuendo, carelessness and amateur hour campaign shit that will garner a collective yawn and alot of consternation on MSNBC.

    I'll go one step farther than Brisket . . . you're a fucking traitor.

Because I don’t believe Trump could “collude” with Russians to steal the election and that “collusion” be something that takes a year to uncover?

His campaign changed managers with 3 months to go.  It was a fucking circus.

Resignation after due process is not a great outcome.

But it's better than either a coup or re-election, so I'll certainly prefer the least-bad option.

Once you've ingested poison, all of the options are bad.  Pick the one that's most likely to keep you alive.  That's where I am.

And I'll mark you down as a "disregard prior evidence" thinker.  It's good to have a track record.

I'll mark you down as a tinfoil hatter.  It's good to have a track record.

So, if an investigation goes too long, then the outcome has less value.  Interedasting.

And Watergate.  Over two years from the break-in to Nixon's resignation.

We're now at the one year mark for the current process.

Your take is fascinating.  Truly.  Share more of your insight with us.

It's quite obvious the hopes and dreams of the left are "Mueller will save us".  If Dotard is a leadpipe lock as a 1 term president then a resignation after year 3 is pretty much meaningless, policy wise.

Also indicting 13 Russian nationals is fucking laughable as an accomplishment milestone.

As the table minimums go up, you are less likely to see stupid play.  But I agree, others play does not affect your hand.

I think I learned that on one of these boards, but if you're at a crowded table and a buddy wants to get in, split 10's.  Someone will leave.

Nope, you are wrong.  Put it this way:  You have a $1000 bet on the table.  You and I both have 14 and the dealer has a 6 up.  Answer these two questions:

    1) How much does me hitting decrease the chance that the dealer busts?

    2) How much would you pay me to not hit, since you think me hitting decreases your win chances?

Why leave the table?  It literally doesn't affect your expected value by a penny.

    Hard for lots of people.

Hitting above 11 against a 4,5 or 6 is extremely stupid.

I question that persons stability and I don't want to be there when they crack up.

    Desperation is a stinky cologne.

I honestly don't care what the end result is regarding Trump and Mueller.

Trump and his campaign are/was a dumpster fire that really has no modern equivalent.  Except maybe the Dem/Hillary excuse tour.  The longer "the noose tightens" and "indictments are pending" the less value any outcome you are hoping for has.

  14. well there is questionable play and there is stupid play.

I can go along and get along with questionable play.  Splitting 10's, hitting anything over 11 against 4, 5 and 6(obviously soft excluded) are leave table time.

What has really surprised me is that at the local Walmart, the two cigarette lanes are nearly abandoned. Maybe 1-2 customers at most.  I guess non-smokers don't even want to stand in line with nasty ass, smelly cigarette smokers.  BTW, the are both 20 item limit lines, easy in, easy out.

speaking of WalMart check out lanes.

What is the mosts lanes anyone can report ever seeing  open at a WalMart?

    6-8 maybe.

18 USC 371 Conspiracy to defraud the United States = Collusion

Manafort, Gates, and 13 Russians have been hit with this along with FARA violations.

Flynn, Papadopoulos, and Van der Zwan took plea deals but could have easily been hit with 18 USC 371 as well.

So you think that’s it for Conspiracy to Defraud the United States?

This is example A1 of the crap any wager regarding “Russian Collusion” will devolve into.

    https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/10/30/paul-manafort-indictment-foreign-lobbying-russia-probe-215764

I wouldn’t pretend to be capable of framing a fair wager outline that covered charges specifically regarding the, “OMG Russia fixed 2016 election with Trumps collusion” mission that Mueller is supposed to be on.

LOL, I'm a Republican too but have let go a long time ago.  You're still playing the 'nothing to see here' card?  Very interesting.  Manafort was kind of close to Trump, he's already indicted.  Trump's personal attorney will be indicted soon - speaking of keeping bets, I'm happy to bet you $1000 Cohen gets indicted.

Manafort is indicted for shit he did long before his work with Trump and wholly outside of Mueller’s original scope.

I would be happy to wager no one gets indicted for “Russian Collusion”.  Although it will need to be clearly defined what charges will be interpreted as such for at least wager purposes.  Also since I would be the don’t side a timeframe too.
