  1. I’ve criticized this staff a lot but I absolutely love their evaluations.  They’re clearly betting on themselves to develop these athletes.  Many of these guys will need red shirt years but the athleticism is off the charts.  Sam Cosmi might be our best OL as a RS frosh and has done very well against some NFL caliber DL the last 2 games.  If we see the same development physically with Yancy’s program and if they can get them to play within their scheme, this team will set for years.

Owens, Caldwell, Watson are athletic freaks.  Still don’t know how we pulled Adimora out of Cali.  If we can close with Catalon, our DB depth will be unreal when you combine it with last years historic class.  I’m glad the days of getting guys like Leroy Scott and Eric Cuffee are over.

  2. Rewatched the game and also watched some all access stuff on LHN.  Brandon Jones is playing like the 5 star recruit he was.  Dude has laid the wood and is a monster in run support.  He's had 2-3 great goal line tackling plays.  He's going to get drafted if he continues to play this well.  The safety trio of Jones, Sterns, Foster is the best we've had in almost a decade.  So excited to see our DBs playing at a high level again.

And for those that love recruiting, his national signing day commitment put a dagger in aggy's heart.  One of my favorite commitments.

  3. This staff is killing it with their evaluations. I atleast have confidence they will turn every rock for solid players that can contribute if they whiff on their first targets.

Both their grad transfer and juco guys, Gary, were solid evaluations also.  Even Jamari Chisholm has played meaningful snaps.

I know Big Herm. He plays at Texas Lutheran.

Ah yup, just looked it up.  That’s him.  Not sure why he had a pic of his son plastered in his car in a WVU Jersey.  I could have sworn he mentioned that he played there.  I had quite a few beers so I could be mis remembering.

hmmmm, i dont think LT has a player on WV. there are plenty around LT including some on the coaching staff that believe Card will be the best one to come out of LT.

Hmm.... he had a picture of his son in his car in a WVU uniform.  Went by big herm.  Dad played b-ball at aggy back in the day.  Maybe they played at a different school but the guy knew his shit about LT football haha.

I did not say Card is the second coming of Gilbert. I said he was going to be the next great LT QB. He is very different than Gilbert personality-wise. He is more of a competitor, hard worker type. I think he is more like Mayfield, Brewer, and Baldwin in his work ethic and enthusiasm to compete. What do you think of Card?

I was in Austin last weekend and my Uber driver shows up in a Tahoe.  Entire time was hyping up Hudson Card.  His son used to play for LT and now plays for WV.  I figured it was you LH94.  Dude said Card was the best QB prospect to come out of Lake Travis.  Said he was better than any QB we have on campus.... it had to be you! Haha

  7. Guys, Demas is not coming here.  He released a top 3 without aggy being in it.  Dude saw our offense all last year and we were his supposed favorite this summer.  He has a 2 game sample size of aggy’s offense and commits to them out of the blue after them not making his top 3.  Dude was bought by aggy and they must have made one hell of an offer to him and his trainer.

  8. We need a lot to happen for us to land either of them, let alone both.  USC will tank this season, but Bru has said that this season results won't affect his decision.  Dude's best friend is JT Daniels.  I'd put it at 5% chance we land him.  If we win the Big 12 and USC tanks, then maybe 20%.

Actually feel better about Sanders.  Bama is loaded with RBs.  If we can show we run the ball and win 9 games, I think we can pull it off.  Just need to sell to him that it's better in his interest to start here day 1 than to ride the pine behind all of Bama's 5 star RBs.  Take him out to 6th and the lake and show him he'd be a celebrity here in Austin living the life... and then match the money bag bama has sent his dad.  Still a long shot.

9.95ers are just looking for clicks with these posts.

  9. One thing under Herman is that we rarely if ever get blown out.  Every loss last year was winnable, which is a huge step forward compared to Charlie's teams that would be down 3 TDs in the first quarter.  I remember turning off the game after seeing our team quit against TCU in the 2nd quarter 2 years ago.   I think this will be a closer game that people think.

Our defense will have to play the best game of this season two win this one.  TCU has elite speed at multiple positions.  Gary Johnson will need at the top of his game.  I expect Locke to be abused.  He's just not very quick and looks stiff.  I think Boyd will play great but he will have 1 play that will hurt us big time.  I expect a huge game from Sterns and Jones.  I'm also worried that they will bait Hager over and over with how aggressive he plays.  You can also bet yourself they will run that jet sweep with Turpin or Raegor over and over and over again.

Our offense has been off schedule plays by Ehlinger.  I think they stack the box and spy him to take away our strength.  They will gladly take their chances and dare Ehlinger to throw under pressure.  It's so important we establish a run game or I think we will struggle to score more than 10 points.

If we can run the ball and limit turnovers, we win 23-17 type of game.  Realistically though, we'll probably see a 20-10 game with TCU coming on top.  I'm excited to see how we look against a legit top 10 team.

  10. Lmao at Vahe being a difference maker.  He’s started here for 4 years bc we’ve had shit talent on the OL.  Easy to beat out guys like Terrell Cuny.  He wouldn’t start at half the other shitty schools in our conference let alone be a difference maker.

  11. I've seen a big difference between the OL this year and the last 2-3 years.  I don't remember the last time our QB had 2-3 seconds to sit back in the pocket and throw and we've done that 2 games in a row.  Our run blocking is still avg which is better than last year.  You can clearly see how much better players are when they have a REAL coach.  Warhime is a fucking fraud and you've seen it first hand.  Now maybe if we could get a real WR coach and a real TE coach, this offense might actually be clicking.

  12. I wanted Tyreek Hill bad this year and took him in the 2nd round in a 12 man league.  Lots of my buddies were telling me I reached for him.  I've got a big grin right now.  Also got Ajayi in the 5th round.  I don't know how he fell that far to me.  He's the clear feature back on a playoff team.  Don't know why people thought Sproles would start when he hasn't been a feature back in the last 5 years.

Drafted Goodwin in the 6th round and it's looking like a bust with his constant injury history.  Going to need to look for some sleepers on the waiver wire as my bench sucks dick.
