Yeah, stick to this area for reliable reporting, and I think you generally should be safe from bias accusations (at least from any rational or objective person).

The interactive version shows many more websites, publications, and TV stations.

And I don’t care about accusations of bias, when they are uninformed.   I care about the content, what I think about it, not what others think.

I'm not saying it is, but you can't just credulously read something because it's in a particular paper. Saying it's in the NYT or WaPo doesn't mean anything

Agreed.  My language was shorthand for I have a lot of experience with both papers.  What I read is based on, well, decades of experience.  Didn’t use to matter, unti the RWmedia machine reached full tilt.

  3. Sure, there is none unilaterally the best.  I like Wapo but can’t get it in my remote place.  So I do read the NYT every morning.  Yes, it’s lib in the New York sense, but it is not rife with false bullshit.   Not at all.

  4. Who here thinks the supremes will rule in favor of Colorado, and extend that to Trump not being eligible, period.  They don’t need/want him now.  To extreme a hope?

I wouldn't give af if both were Thanos'd tomorrow.  I used Fox as the example from the right.  You can convince yourself however you want to feel better about what the political bent and readership of the NYT is.  I couldn't care what conclusion you draw from that exercise either.

And what national newspaper would you recommend?

I think Democrats are pussies in general. Their default is can't we all just get along. It's why Obama wasn't concerned about Russia. It's not because they're bad at their jobs. They want to use Diplomacy first, second, and last. Sometimes that works. Sometimes it does not.

I think what Biden has done against Russia, uniting our allies and strengthening NATO, weakening Russia, will be one of his greatest achievements, and one of the greatest for the West in history, and it's sad Trump/Republicans want to acquiesce to Putin

China is definitely not a friend.

Just stop using that sexually charged pejorative.  Once encountered in your post it renders the rest useless.

Congrats on the victory.  Your early posts implied a higher level of confidence in Penix and crew to perform at peak levels.   You were right, and that was kryptonite for us.  You also point out where our “answers” on D fell short.

And, apologies for getting short with you a time or two.   Just a more analytical fan base over here, little that it helped us.

Appreciate Quinn at Texas.  Dude improved a ton this year.  But watching Penix and then watching Quinn, it's night and day.  1 dude was THE man and made plays for his team meanwhile Quinn more so manages the game and plays within in the offense.  He's just a bit more robotic, has poor pocket presence, poor footwork and is okay in his progressions.  Quinn has had crazy unrealistic expectations put on him due to his 1.0 ranking coming out of high school but he was also waaaaay over-rated coming out.  Dude probably should have been a high 4 star.  We're in a lucky spot if he comes back because he has shown we can make the CFP with him and be competitive with him.  With all that said, I think Arch has a better arm, better pocket feel, is more athletic, and will be much better with progressions with game reps.  I hope Sark starts the best guy after spring practice regardless of who it is.

The modern game is a bit tough on passers who are not also good to great athletes/runners.  We can win more with QE, but he has to grow as much this coming year as in the past year.

  9. Recalling the earlier back and forth with a few WA fans, I have to admit to being self deluded about Penix vs our D.  First observation concluded we were his perfect foil, and that he could very well light us up.  Much better than any previous opponent.  From there, I welcomed arguments that seemed to point to some UT defensive prowess, like the line.
But the obvious 1st look turned out to be reality.   Penix’ best game ever.
Yes we were miraculously close.   Give it to the players for that huge effort.

I just need to be more honest about our team.  This was not a game the defense could “win”.  It was on the offense.  Oh, and Sushi did point out how their D was better than the numbers suggested.   He was right.  It was tough sledding for our O.

Then there are the matters of fumbles and penalties.  One can say the game was won /lost on that front, given what Penix and company were doing.

    Next year.

This.  See how some of our resident GQPers talk about the women in this site.  Look at how certain GQP Presidential candidates (looking at you Vivek) blame single women for economic woes.  There is a deep seated hatred of women, especially strong independent women, by a lot of men in this country.

Flash:  they hate everyone, and they hate themselves.   This is why they come across as perpetually twisted/mad bro.

Last couple of years, my expectations have been below reality. The difference has been coaching. Our teams have improved as the season went on.

Say what you will about Tceh and Great Value Oklahoma being lesser teams, the way we played was no accident. This team was firing on all cylinders a month ago.

Make no mistake, Washington is an amazing football team with seasoned, talented players and a top notch staff. They have fewer weaknesses than Alabama this year; their receivers are better and faster than our disciplined but slow secondary.

But nobody's faced the pair of Sweat and Murphy until they've faced them. Our front 7 in general was turned from a weakness into a strength by a great staff. And on offense, we've got weapons all over the field and an OL that's adequate. And then there's special teams...

It's shaping up to be a very competitive game between two great teams. If Ewers doesn't throw the ball to any purple jerseys, I think we win.

That’s a big if.  Evers had that terrible pick in the 3q of OSU.  This will be his best game, says the tea leaves.
