  1. Y'all really have toxic beauty standards. I thought this was a safe space for the love-handled and muffin-topped.
  2. He's referencing this scene from Wolf of Wallstreet: Although to be fair, the characters in that scene are indeed referencing Freaks
  3. I lived in Louisville for a while. Spent every weekend I could down in Lexington. That town is awesome and Keenland is the most fun I've had a "sporting event" outside of Texas football games. Honestly had no intention of moving back to Texas until my folks got sick, Kentucky is a great state. Especially if you are decently smart and have any kind of social graces. A lack of in-state connections could limit your ability to get in with the "country club" set, but the job opportunities are endless for someone who is at all qualified. I had to learn stay away from Bardstown, though. I could see the path from "functional alcoholic" to "ruining my life" was paved in wheated bourbon.
  4. lol, I'm glad you said it. Seems like he was being a good sport. Honestly I don't see that much to dislike about Elko other than the trash he associates with. He's a slob, so there's that. But glasses houses and stones.
  5. I mean, perhaps he's better at football than we're assuming? Cards on the table, I'm high on Parker Livingstone for the vibes and memes rather than anything football related, but are we just taking it for granted that he's not very good? It's his second year in the program, the reports from camp are good. At 6'4" he's our tallest scholarship WR. I don't think he's WR1 or anything but I wouldn't be shocked if they had a role for him to play.
  6. True and correct, but I will note that the grandson talked up Overshown to Jerrah and helped get DMO drafted at a good spot. Plus DMO is a lifelong Cowboys fan, so Paxton Anderson helped him achieve that dream. The sins of the father should not yada yada yada.
  7. Sorry for the double post, but I have a few thoughts and questions. The staff just doesn't seem that high on Kreul. I understand we're okay with his limitations (if the price is right), but these tweeners never seem to pan out. It seems like the better move would be to let someone else develop him and tamper with him later if he looks good. If we can't pull him in the portal, oh well. That being said, denying Oklahoma a player it wants is as good a reason is any to take a croot so I'm good either way. It's weird to me that "coon" is a slur for black people while "coonass" is a slur for white people. Are we actually doing this rivalry with Georgia? Because the shit I've seen over the last two weeks is how we end up with a rivalry with Georgia. I don't give a shit about them but if we're all going full regard on the dawgs then so be it. I just want us to go into this with both eyes open because their fans seem to be on Tech's level of annoying and shitty. I would rather not add "Tech, but better at football" to the list of our rivals. Arkansas is more than enough trailer trash for me. 28-30 guys? Really? That seems absurd. Is it because of the new roster rules? We're already so loaded and have retained so well, I just assumed this would be a smaller class.
  8. This looks like one of those fake "Surly Magazine" headlines that @TreatyOak is always churning out.
  9. So y'all like to flirt in the open, huh
  10. Small world, my firm did the same thing. My stint was back in 2013. It was a shock how little the actual law mattered in those trials.
  11. The best in Texas leave Texas (to avoid conviction)
  12. I don’t want to oversell this, but we are winning the next three national championships in a row. They’re going to have to pass laws to stop us.
  13. I just got back from Ketchikan. We flew Air Canada, though. Southern Alaska is shockingly pleasant this time of year. Food was also surprisingly good, albeit fuck all expensive.
  14. we have joined a conference of fucking crybabies
  15. I've been doing these for years and didn't really have a name for them. This is excellent. Dude, thank you for this. The other day I mentioned to my wife that I wanted to find a place that did beef stromboli because I was nostalgic about this place we went to on South Lamar in high school for discount buffet, but I couldn't remember the name of it. It was one of those stories that starts off somewhere then quickly trails off and makes her question my mental health (and therefore warranting the senility checks). Trying to remember the name of the place has been bothering me ever since. It was Double Dave's. This is like finally getting a popcorn kernel dislodged from my teeth.
  16. It’s a relief when certain posters, especially BOW but others as well, disagree with me on here. It’s a better confirmation of how right I am than just about anything else. what’s funny is that with a lot of posters - futureman, helobious- Im fairly confident that it’s a bit or that they’re trolling. BOW definitely likes to troll, but he’s bad enough at it that you can tell when he’s being serious. I honestly doubt that hes that big of an asshole IRL, but on here hes something special. I would be honestly shocked if 90% of the people on this board dont remember Spike Dykes. First, because you’re all old as shit, and second, because his son is coaching at TCU.
