  1. Dude looks like he’s in his 10th trimester
  2. I agree with the sentiment, but you're tilting at windmills. Digressions about food, music, movies, travel, EDC, etc. are just part of the ecosystem here. We'll get back on topic when things start happening but there's no harm in them for now. That's where politics differ - that will turn a thread into an unbearable shitshow very quickly. Just arguing about what's "politics" and what isn't can chap people's asses. Food and music arguments are harmless fun that can be tamped down easily, but political differences turn bloody. Plus, politics is pervasive across the internet and you can easily talk about that shit just about anywhere. Although there are food and EDC forums, the aren't nearly as active or as readily available. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that this shit is harmless in a way that politics isn't. Negged. Fuck all the way off with this shit, newguy.
  3. It's always okay to drink soda with liquor. That's actually another knock against Big Red - it doesn't go with any kind of booze. Except maybe vodka, but vodka goes with everything so that doesn't really count.
  4. 1. All soda is for children, who don't give a shit about their teeth or caloric intake. Any man of advancing years who still drinks soda is not taking his health seriously. 2. That said, Jarritos are amazing and Piña is a guilty pleasure I'll drink sometimes on a hot day. I'm assuming most people have some fruity or sweet soda that they drink rarely. 3. Among the pantheon of fruity sodas, Big Red is uniquely bad. It's a really unfortunate combinations flavors and the red die stains everything, including your lips. I'll admit that drinking it was a salty, savory meal (like BBQ) improves the flavor and makes it better, but I cannot understand anyone wanting to drink it by itself on a regular basis.
  5. Well shit I hope the staff isn't pointing those things out to him.
  6. They have got to be playing up the whole "Well that's what they told Cam Williams too and look what happened" angle of things.
  7. That is a fair point. I find Big Red disgusting by itself, but it absolutely slaps with some BBQ. Especially if the BBQ is decent but not great, like Rudy's.
  8. Nah, that post was 100% the type of shit that Gabe would have said. Although he would have quoted Donne correctly. Do people unironically like Big Red? Really? That's a children's drink. Has nothing to do with being woke. Prosecutors from Texas to Maine prosecute for everything imaginable and then plea down to what's reasonable. Has nothing to do with race, politics, whatever. See, now this is a lawyerly answer.
  9. I don't want to mix up my arguments, so I'll be clear and say that I don't see a 3-loss season as acceptable. Yeah, we play in a tough conference with a difficult OOC, but that's what the money is for. All the games are winnable for us, and losing three winnable games in a season is not the standard. That's especially true if the losses are not explainable by injury or some other bad luck. But I'm not arguing about what's acceptable, I'm arguing about what I think CDC and the administration consider worth firing Sark over. To fire Sark, you're going to have to make your case to a lot of people and you're going to have to deal with the fall out of that decision. Think about every program that fired a coach because he was good, but not quite good enough. If the next guy isn't even better, then you look like an idiot. We're talking about a lot of careers and reputations. There are practical and human components to this, and it has very little to do with what is acceptable. Consider all of the potential fallout that can come from firing Sark and missing on the next hire. All because the dude went 9-3. That is a tough row to hoe, and I don't see any of the people in power being willing to take responsibility if it goes sideways. That being said - people do unreasonable things and I can't see the future. Maybe Kyle Shanahan calls up CDC and says he wants the job. Anything can happen. But all other things being equal, I don't see us firing Sark for going 9-3 in 2026. Mostly because I don't see a group of well educated professionals collectively making a decision that, on its face, seems very hard to justify and carries a significant amount of potential blowback.
  10. I would welcome Choater the Goater back with open arms.
  11. I know this is probably dumb, but is Jimmy Lake completely out of the question? Terrible HC and only so-so as a DC, but him calling the backfield of a PK defense could be great.
  12. I get the impression that he has not been the best influence on Sark off the field.
  13. For real. Roberson can get the fuck out. Dude is a moron and a liability.
  14. I'll take one last shot at this, and then I'm going to move on: I'm not talking about what I want to happen or what I don't want to happen. My subjective feelings have nothing to do with what is reasonable and what is unreasonable. His buyout will be $55 million in 2026. The No. 1 recruiting class in 2025 will still have one year left before any of those guys are draft eligible. Sarks track record at Texas, while perhaps not what we want, is not bad enough to warrant firing the guy. Nobody gives a shit about our rushing stats or misses in the OL room. That shit is the trees, and you need to look at the forest. Sark is the most successful coach at Texas since pre-2010 Mack. Going 9-3 in 2026 cannot reasonably justify paying Sark's enormous buyout, risking the loss of one of the most talented rosters we've ever had, and throwing us into the backroom casino that is a coaching search. Take this to heart or don't, it doesn't make a difference to me because I'm not arguing with you. I'm just trying to tell you how it is.
  15. You're in your feelings and I get it. I sympathize. I'm on this board every day and I know every argument you've made or could make. But the idea that we would fire Sark next season simply for missing the CFP is not reasonable. He would have to crash and burn into a losing season, or have some massive scandal fall, for it to be reasonable to even consider firing him 2026.
  16. You're not being reasonable. First and most importantly - there are head coaches who have gone through several "NFL QBs" and not anything close to what Sark has won. You really think we're gonna fire the guy who recruited Ewers in the portal and snagged Manning? Just because he didn't win the NC? Second, have we really come around to Ewers as an "NFL QB," like he went in the first round? I love the dude, but let's be real about what he was. That we were in contention for a national title with him under center is point in Sark's favor. Third, You really want to fire a guy who made the playoffs twice, made the SEC CCG, won the Big 12, and has consistently recruited classes in the top-5? Dude literally just recruited the No. 1 class last year. He's 47-20 at Texas, with only 8 of those losses coming since 2022. I applaud your high standards and on an emotional level agree with your sentiment, but there is no way in hell that we are firing Sark next season for missing the CFP.
