  1. It's not all wrong -Recruiting: Brister was a shitty take, who will be nothing but depth. Cam has had moments where she looks like she will be a contributor for us in the circle, but she does need development. Obviously adding Bennett was supposed to be depth + pinch runner, not an every day starter in the infield. Ah, injuries. 2025 class is legit good, though. Which makes sense, since we lose 5 seniors -Assistants: Well Mike and PRT figured out whatever was wrong with TK's mechanics and fixed it. Mac looks renewed/rejuvenated her last 2 starts (Clemson and Tennessee). Cam was huge in game 2 against Clemson. Henry hit a changeup for a HR against OU. Steve obviously saw that all the HRs hit off Pickens were rise balls hit at a certain angle - Katie did the same thing they did! -Mac shattered your whole section about her in her last 2 starts, lol -Lineup - KB has improved a lot since she was kind of meh mid-season. Taking walks, infield hits, some big sac flies to score a runner. Overpowered against elite stuff? You bet. Wasn't supposed to be taking 3-4 ABs every game. Moving Stewie back to LF and Goode back to SS after Clemson game 1 - good coaching by Mike. But he's never going to break up the LLL to start the game, not with their averages and speed. -Well the stupid baserunning ain't going away. It's an epidemic.
  2. Some neat stats Texas threw out today: There have been 6 homers to lead off an inning in this year's WCWS - Texas has 4 of them: Joley Mitchell, against Florida, to lead off the 2nd and the 6th Joley Mitchell, against OU, to lead off the 6th Katie Stewart, against Tennessee, to lead off the 4th Katie's 9 career hits in the WCWS is 3rd all-time at Texas, behind Mia (19) and Bella (10) TK got her 8th save of her career, a new program record

    Rowing

Rebuild year - 8th consecutive top 4 finish, 6 of the last 7 years in the top 3 That program continues to roll
  4. Also OU is 7th in runs scored, Tech 19th Let our pitching eat up a mediocre offense - I'd rather 3 low scoring games, with our experienced team, than having to outslug OU with our pitching staff
  5. Yep. Here are your options to go up against: .322 average, 60 HR, one player with double digit HR (the pitcher, lol), .502 SLG%, 211 K to 169 BB or .332 average, 120 HR, 6 players with double digit HRs, .634 SLG%, 229 K to 284 BB Anyone who wants to play that second team 3x for a title, in their own backyard, is insane.
  6. OU 1B can't get his footing, leads to a run for UNC
  7. They've always done it this way. Prevents something like Texas-Tenn needing a game 7, but having to wait for OU-Tech to finish first. But if OU-Tech need a game 7 after playing their game, they would have to play 30 min later instead of a 3+ hour rest period. Speaking of, Tech needs to win game 1 today or it's likely over. If OU figures out Canady and scores a few runs off her early, I'd pull her and play for game 2 than continue to let them see her.
  8. Yes For instance, TK has 64 ER in 189.1 IP - her official ERA is 2.37 64*7 Divided by 189.1
  9. I also do not expect him to
  10. No game 2 needed for Texas and Tennessee, so we chill until 6pm for Tech and OU Texas has advanced, winning their bracket 3-0 and outscoring Florida, OU and Tennessee 9-2 (both runs unearned)
  11. UNC up 3-0 in the second on OU I hope OU has a really bad day on the diamond sports
  12. That's just his face lol
  13. I can sum it up: Mac ate TK shoved Stewie went yard Tennessee threw the ball away in the 6th, but even 1 run was enough for Texas
  14. Balked under the bright lights? Dude got paid to go be an SEC HC with a top returning roster, lol.
  15. Yeah we have secured 90 points minimum, with a possible 100 if we win it all
  16. In the 80s, it was a 16 team postseason tournament, in a 3-game format for each "regional" to advance to the WCWS. 7 geographic regions and an at-large region. The WCWS in 1983 (aggy win) was: Fullerton, Indiana, South Carolina, aggy, UCLA, Missouri, Louisiana Tech, Pacific The WCWS in 1984 (aggy runner up) was: Adelphi, Cal Poly Pomona, Fresno, Nebraska, Northwestern, aggy, UCLA, Utah State The WCWS in 1986 (aggy runner up) was: Cal, Fullerton, Creighton, Indiana, Long Beach, Louisiana Tech, Northwestern, aggy The WCWS in 1987 (aggy win) was: ASU, Fullerton, Central Michigan, FSU, Fresno, Nebraska, aggy, UCLA
  17. Agree to disagree They finished 4 games out of first place in the SEC and won a vanity tournament without facing anyone's #1
  18. OU does NOT need to make the champ series for 6 straight years, after a rebuild with their entire 4-peat core leaving. That would just piss me off. Since UCLA beat OU in 2019 for the title, the only title game participants have been OU, FSU and Texas. Let Tech be some new blood to make it, but not win it. No one has won it all in their first WCWS appearance since Gasso and OU did it in 2000.
  19. Could we also overperform in outdoor T&F next week?
  20. Mac ate 4 innings and 59 pitches from TK‘s arm None of TK’s 43 pitches were that stressful - the leadoff walk in the 5th, all zeroes after that with 3 K
  21. TT’s offense sucks, especially away from the launching pad that is Lubbock. All of our pitching and experience is the difference, because we have hit Canady well enough to win the last 3 matchups
  22. She should have retired when Blaire left bc it was suck city after that until 2019 when Mike came
