  1. That LSU game in 06 was the worst.  On the last (or near last) possession of regulation, we played balls out great D and forced Big Baby Davis to chuck up a 3 which went in.  I think he had only taken like 2 3's all year.

he’s a mark few disciple, he’s great at recruiting internationally, and he runs an exciting style that would pack the Moody center. He’s been near the top of the list ever since his first year at Arizona.

    Cross him off then.

With Societies, it depends on whether they are charity based or science focused.  A charity based society should either be funding research or charity efforts and most of that money should be going out the door.  A scientific society usually is a member based organization that also publishes/runs conferences to help cover the cost.  Doesn't mean the executives aren't well paid, but their primary mission is more internal focused than external.

There's a big difference between the American Chancer Society and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

I was told there was no cure for the chancer I picked up in Lubbock.

I was reading (on the internet, so it has to be right) that many of the homes burned not from embers on the roof, but from embers being drawn into the attic through the airflow vents.  Once inside, there isn't much that could be done.  Does that sound right?  In looking at pictures of houses on fire, many seem to have fire resistant roofs like Spanish tile or composition shingles.  I know that fire resistant does not equal fire proof.

We must read the same internet.  All this time, I thought screens on vents and chimneys were to prevent hot stuff from getting out, not from getting in.  Presuming of course that the internet is right.

Can you just buy the spray on fire retardant?  I might want to have some of that on hand, just in case.

Only just heard about that stuff since these fires broke out.  How much do you have to have for a typical house?  I’ve seen some that come in like 16 oz cans.

When I was younger, this kind of declaratory statement used to really aggravate me. It still does, but not as much as it used to as I came to realize that the majority of people making these kinds of statements are either intellectually deficient or misinformed. Or both. So I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are simply misinformed.

Every department/agency has what is called a PIO (Public Information Officer). He or she has been designated as the mouthpiece for the agency when high visibility incidents occur in that agency’s jurisdiction. They have been beaten over the head by city lawyers, HR, and their superior(s) with what to say and how to say it. 98% of the time they are a desk jockey position; not someone that is currently assigned to operations and engaged in daily tasks. If you’ll notice, they almost always have on a white shirt and/or white helmet (and it’s not dirty). If it is dirty, it’s because they borrowed it from someone else. Thanks for coming to my TED talk

LOL I'm in IT and sometimes we have to walk construction sites to plan out networks and sometimes they make us wear hard hats...I've worn mine like 10x in 20+ years.  Back when I first got it, the site manager took one look at me and burst out laughing.  Told me to put a few scuff marks on the hat so that no one else would laugh at me.
