  1. He died too soon now he's up there with Hank
  2. It looks like India has accidentally hired someone on Surly too.
  3. The trip was awesome.. We did Ernst Tinaja on Wednesday afternoon, dinner at La Kiva which was fantastic. Thursday was the big hike.. We started at Chisos Basin, then Pinnacles to Emory Peak, back down to Boot Canyon and around East Rim and South Rim, before returning on Laguna Meadows to Chisos Basin. 15.5 miles and took is right at 10 hours. Long Draw Pizza never tasted better that night. On Friday we did the boomerang, a canoe trip in Santa Elena Canyon. We had lunch in Fern Canyon and scrambled a good ways back in there, which was awesome. Dinner at Starlight which is always good. On Saturday we hiked Lost Mine and then left for BBQ in Marathon for lunch, and on to Ft Davis for the Star Party.
  4. I was there this past Wednesday through Saturday afternoon. I'm glad she was found safe, but the whole thing was very odd. Lost Mine Trail is a pretty straight forward hike and I couldn't understand how you would get lost unless you tried. My theory is she hiked to the bottom of that valley at the end of the trail and ended up falling in something or hiking down into a hole she couldn't get out of.
  5. I am heading to BB tomorrow with friends.. We have South Rim, Santa Elena Canyon, and McDonald Observatory on the agenda.. I have a question about Ernst Tinaja.. I have a 2wd Ford Expedition.. Is this sufficient to drive on the road to access this trail? I took the same vehicle down Old Maverick Rd last year, no issues..
  6. I'm fine with Maldy coming back as long as he doesn't start more than 40 games. That should be a clause in his contract. he starts more than 40 games, he waives his salary.
  7. No thanks. Unless you want to see more Jake Meyer who will play because Trout is hurt again They must have recently wached ALCS games 6 and 7.
  8. That's whats scarry.. contracts last year were stupid high and for way too long. I want some of these free agents, but not if its going to kill the organization
  9. He's like Robert Horry, but not as awesome. Ironically Horry looks like the other Will Smith
  10. Iron sharpens iron. Hopefully the Rangers win means we are more aggressive this offseason. With Diaz and Chas playing everyday we are immediately better. We start the season with a 6 man rotation, then get help from Luis Garcia at the ASB.. I think we need a top end starter, but this can be obtained at the deadline.
  11. I forgot to mention he was able to manage his team to a 49-32 HOME record. Sign me the fuck up.
  12. Counsell would be great. Proven track record and checks alot of boxes. He's old school, ok with analytics, and has won at a decent clip as a manager.
  13. Its the cycle of rage the internet is having fun with. Float a terrible candidate, let everyone rage for a few days, then repeat.
  14. Yep. And if he returns and miraculously stays healthy then its house money. Go sign a stud pitcher and reliever.
  15. Lourdes would be great, but he's going to want a long term deal and we have OF in the farm. I just don't see the Astros doing that, but it would be cool if they did. I would like Brantley to walk because of injury concerns. JD Martinez would be good here, but that puts Yordan in LF most of the time. I think we should open the wallet for Nola, Snell, or Gray. We land one of these, it all but guarantees we're back in the playoffs. In the BP, Hader would be great and hopefully Neris comes back too.
  16. Garcia returns at the ASB? What about LMJ? Thats 7 arms if they're all healthy, and that's a big if.
  17. I think it starts out as a stretch of bad luck then becomes entirely mental. It absolutely has to be mental at this point.
  18. By miles and miles
  19. The only thing that would be a bigger deal than this would be a Cowboys/Texans Super Bowl... and thats probably never going to happen.. The Cowboys suck
  20. Good points. Its important to cover every angle and not go off on a tangent.
  21. Insidiousness? Really? We banged on trash can to tip pitches for a half season in 2017, a tactic that was dropped in the opening games of 2018 because it didn't work, proven by the fact the Astros had a better road record than home record that season. Chuckie is absolutely correct. People are pissed that the Astros have pushed in their stool for 8 years on the field. The media was especially concerned with the fact that St. Yankee kept repeatedly getting bitch slapped by Houston. Case and point is Ranger fan having Astro balls drug across their face once again this past Sunday and all of the sudden the cheating bullshit comes out again, 6 years after it happened. Had the Rangers won, we're not going to be crying about Pudge and Juan Gonzales doing roids. Its the use of the word insidiousness that discredits every point you were trying to make. Baylor's scandal was insidious, as was Penn States. The Astros was wrong, but they have apologized, been punished, and paid the price for what they did and then some. Insidious? GTFO
  22. I like watching him in the video of the 1st post.. You can see his improvement as he gets more and more comfortable with the position.
  23. I'm thinking if Chris O and JC had a baby, it would be JBrooks.
  24. Ok so we have comps to Rochon, Ced, Arian Foster, and JC. Lets go ahead and throw in Earl and Barry Sanders while we're at it.
  25. World......Baseball......Classic Fuck that fucking tournament
