Iceberg Research also did a hit piece on EOSE in January 2021.  They probably shorted more into the “news” to trigger stop losses.  The stock’s recovered from a low today of $1.24 to the current sp of $2.66.  Not.  Selling.

I used the opportunity to buy a bunch at 1.85.  Stonks for life baby!

  2. Nice job.  I’m almost 3 weeks in and down 12 lbs.  It’s been easier than I anticipated.  The food tracking is absolutely key for me.  I eat, record, and let feeling full be something I don’t worry about.  Haven’t felt a ton of hunger but I do snack.

Lowest weight since kids were little.  My goal is still 25 lbs away but feeling good about it more.

  3. I know this sounds ridiculous but on the Monterey peninsula the best deal on most groceries is Whole Foods.  So we shop there and Costco and it works.  Safeway is outrageous as is Luckys.  HEB is a National treasure but we’ll never get them out here.

I had barbecue today and as long as you don’t want brisket you can be ok.  I had pulled pork and chicken that was delicious.

Finally, to echo @closetohumping the cost of living for middle class is ridiculous out here.  Between folks who are locked into minuscule valuations and can transfer it across family, making existing housing extremely pricey, and new construction being really expensive, you have to go to Merced or Los Banos or Palm Desert or Inland Empire, and it’s crazy.  There is an attempt to increase the housing stock finally but it’ll be very limited in its effect.

But now that I’m here there’s no way I’m going back.  QOL is just so good.

Most of the Californians I know go to Texas because they can't afford California or are MAGA red.

This is the truth.  The third is following a job.  But there are plenty of Unfilled jobs here.  The problem is wealth and lack of new housing has squeezed any kind of middle class into limited options.  None of my group of friends here would move to Texas but a bunch have employees there.

  5. I think it’ll retrace to below 2 while we wait on positive news.  The biggest problem is everyone is waiting to get diluted.  If a major comes in then we should be good, but meantime ride the PSS coaster.

Yes, thats 1 factor.  Further, the hypothetical productivity question between a 18M and a 10M CEO - the answer is embedded a priori in the final realized compensation.  You don't know whether a CEO will perform to 18M, but you structure the pay to be aligned with the positive net effect of that productivity.

Apple says if Tim Cook raises the companies market value quicker than their peers over a 3 year period, he gets paid more.

We've barely scratched anything that involves political parties or ideas.  Or is CR just a catchall label for when people lacking substantive arguments get really emotional and angry instead

Ironic that you found this aimed at you when it clearly wasn’t.  If the glove fits though…

  7. Unfortunately CEO performance is correlated to metrics which may or may not be reflective of company performance.  Hence idiotic stock buybacks that make you scratch your head.  And on top of that, a CEO can actually be penalized for making long term decisions beneficial to the company.

But that goes to the core issue in a lot of companies.  Their boards are pathetic and don’t do their job, rubber stamping the compensation plans.

Unfortunately none of that is relevant to this thread as it relates very lightly to inflation…

And the CR bullshit really needs to go away, it runs an otherwise really good thread.

  8. About 10 days in and doing great with LoseIt.  Not really paying too much attention to the macros right now, focusing on calorie count but it is surprisingly effective to measure what you eat and realize portion size was absolutely the issue in my diet.

I am down to 273 going to 245.  Goal was November first, but app is saying mid October now.  We’ll see.  I don’t travel and don’t eat out much so should be able to control the inputs easily.

Snacking between breakfast and lunch has made it a lot easier to keep from feeling hungry.  I’ve just about eliminated processed sugar.

  9. So embedding tweets is bad, what about memes, gifs, IG sloot photos, dogs, food, and travel photos?  We could go back to drawing dicks in ASCII but I don’t see that happening either.  I think greater functionality is better, maybe avoid threads or posters that like to embed tweets or threads?

Ignore is a useful function, I don’t really understand the self flagellators who won’t use the site features.

They have got to get a move on adding a chronological view and your follows only view. I feel like that's a dealbreaker for most people. I'm following a lot of people and still get some many randos that I have no desire to read. It's the worst parts of Facebook and Instagram all rolled into one.

I’m seeing this right now and just muting the ones I don’t want to see, but I am not a heavy user and won’t post at all.  I just want to read news and follow UT football and a few other organizations.

  11. Well I’ve gone half a year and literally right back where I started, this past weekend.  I was right at 281 although the weight moved from my gut to chest and legs.  So, time for a serious change in lifestyle.

Installed LoseIt to track calories as I know that is the issue.  4 days in I’m down 3 pounds but I expect that to level out shortly.  Targeting 245 by thanksgiving.  For reference I was 6 ft 5, 230 when I was in peak shape.

I’m turning fifty in a couple of weeks and my knees have decided being a fatass is not going to work.  The 12 hour intermittent fast seems like an easy goal to accomplish every day too.
