Just another Saturday and Sunday Funday!
  5. There is quite a bit of heat/cool transferred through thermal bridging. Huber has a really good product, r-sheathing, that eliminates thermal bridging.

Touche...To each their own. Some of the hill country juice I tried years back was not drinkable. I have heard decent things about Calais.
  7. The idea behind this is to reduce the amount of lumber needed to construct a home and at the same time increase the insulation performance of the home. For example most homes have 2x4 studs on 16" centers. Advanced framing uses 2x6 studs on 24" centers. This increases the amount of insulation and decreases the amount of thermal bridging.
  8. Just because one uses advanced framing doesn’t mean it’s an inferior product. It is used to reduce the amount of lumber used and also increases the insulation performance of the house.

Great blind old Napa cab tasting with a Bordeaux ringer. 89 L’Arrosee, 90 La Jota Howell Mtn, 90 Mondavi Reserve, 85 Berlinger Private Reserve, 90 Forman and 85 Grgich. All were incredible but Grgich was past prime.
  15. I bought a Sleep Innovations foam mattress years ago from Amazon. Best $600 I have ever spent. I’m pretty sure most of the foam mattresses are made in the same factory.
  16. Here is a really good video of some water heaters getting cut open. Amazing the amount of sediment that accumulated in the tanks. https://youtu.be/kAzKts6Wp1Q
