Maton, Neris, Montero and Stanek have all been good at points in their careers, so you can reasonably expect at least 1 or 2 of them to be pitching well at any given time. When those names are Montero, Bielak, Mushinski and Martinez, I get nervous. I'm still trying to wrap my head around watching Mushinski come in to pitch in close games.

Huh?
name one team that feels comfortable with their bullpen outside of their 3 backend guys. Very few teams are comfortable with even that.
you think the Rangers enjoyed trotting Smith, Sborz, Chapman, LeClerc out there in the playoffs as often as they did?
I’ll give you injuries happen and am a believer in “you can never have enough pitching” but out of the names Snake Diggity mentioned, I’d go in to the playoffs with that pen all day and guessing most if not all of the other 29 teams would as well
You guys keep talking about the playoffs and that's not what I'm worried about. The season is long and you can't get through it with 3 guys you trust. They will get run in to the ground. You need guys who can eat up appearances without shitting all over themselves.

Which RP doesn’t belong on a playoff roster, assuming a rotation of Framber/JV/Javier/Brown:
Hader
Pressly
Abreu
Montero
Garcia (when healthy-June)
McCullers (when healthy-Aug)
Blanco
France
Urquidy
And thats assuming Arrighetti and no other pitching prospects emerge. Unless somebody gets hurt (which is very likely), their staff will be stacked. They may go out and add a RP but it’ll be a luxury.
The only spot I’m worried about on Houston’s roster is 1B. If Abreu doesn’t come back to life they will need to do something. If the Marlins sell they have 3 guys who could fit the bill in varying ways; Arraez would be a huge add, Burger would be a sleeper add, Bell would be a Mancini type add.
You counted McCullers. Never count LMJ. The extra relievers are as much or more for the 2nd half of the season as they are the playoffs. In the current bullpen, I don't feel comfortable with any of the options outside of the 3 backend guys coming in to close games. That's not ideal.

They're going to have to get a couple of middle relievers at the trade deadline. I am assuming Hader, Abreu and Pressly pull their heads out of their asses.

Crab salad dude violated one of the main rules of Italian cuisine, never combine cheese and seafood. Tom was probably offended to his core.

You can usually turn that cinematic mode off in your tv settings.

Yep, slipped on a wet rock when he walked in to the pool.

The Hill Country counties are all seriously overreacting to this and are going to make things worse. Emergency Management strikes again.

The cancellation policy for airbnbs is most definitely not customer friendly. This late, you'll get just about nothing back and like it.

Lot of time for Lincoln Riley's defense to look like complete ass.

Ha and Diaz hit 2 homers tonight. If this was last season, Dusty would have sat him on the bench for a week after having the nerve to show up Maldonado.

He's never thrown more than 6 innings in a game before tonight.

I'm starting the season slow like the Astros.

Yainer wouldn't have played for a week afterwards if he did this last season.

Needs a quick 8th. He's a young guy who was a reliever until this spring.

Kirk has the physique of a little league catcher.

Fitting that it was a hanging slider.

Are we sure that's allowed?

I think it's just about guaranteed to be cloudy that day. Rain isn't for certain, but the forecast is about as locked in as possible for clouds.

We have some idiots at work who wanted to close their offices not because they want to watch the eclipse, but because they are convinced the power is going to be off all afternoon because the eclipse is going to somehow make the electrical grid go down.

We're debating cancelling our plans. Not much point in taking off for work when you won't be able to see shit with rain dampening the chances for outdoor activities over the weekend on top of it. We have to head back home after the eclipse anyway because I have to be back at work Tuesday morning now because of some stuff that came up.

I did laugh out loud when Leon was worried about what covid would do to his dick.

I don't think Loperfido is getting called up before June, but I will be happy to be proven wrong.

There's a shocker.

And if they were they'd only have the HEB version on the shelf because all of the name brand stuff is gone already.
