13-6 Gophers at the 7th inning stretch.

If this holds up, this will be both the Gophers and John Anderson's first ever Super Regional. Gophers have 3 national championships, but the last was 1964.

Very cool GR, hope it holds up!

Something about we have only been the away team once before and they have been twice already.

This is such a stupid rule.  They lose a game and therefore have to play more games and therefore have more opportunities to be the away team... so... we're punished for that.  Makes a lot of sense.

Best part is the ones over there saying they got upset and are the better team. Ooooooook

Well they did beat us by one run in their own ballpark in a midweek game a couple months ago, so they have every reason to believe we shouldn't be at all competitive with them.

I would skip that game and just go to ours.

Indeed, I should have been more specific. I'll be tailgating for their final game, and watching our regional victory from the stands.

Anybody got a cooler/chiller setup on their pool? Some light research shows me a bunch of homemade PVC gadgets with a pump that spray water into the air to cool. Then there's the Glacier unit which looks pretty baller but is probably an energy hog. Thoughts?

I'll run my sheers overnight which helps to cool it down.

"Born to lose" should be on the aggy school crest. They can class it up by translating to latin.

    Natum Perdere

(at least that's what Google translate says)

Has a nice ring to it, I think.

I think we're supposed to pay in F250s.

I sent my two F250s over to the Disch earlier this morning.  Somebody else will have to cover anything else required, my oil well is tapped out for a few days now.

Dammit, where the fuck is LO berliner weibe!?

I dig the authentic frontier gibberish.  I speak jive, so I was able to translate.

And my guess is, pretty soon.  Last year I believe it was a midsummer release?

Alls I know is I'm drinking the hell out of Grodziskie right now.  It's also fun to go half and half with Pilz and make a Pilziskie.  That's what the owner does most of the time these days.

I did this.... my sons didn't really get it.

As for he rest of this thread, all this stuff was fun to play with. Thanks for inviting me over, because I didn't have shit.

My son really wants a BMX bike, so he won't get the "vintage" part but it'll still be what he wants.  More importantly, I'll get to ride it again, too. :)

Making mojitos from scratch with fresh mint leaves off your plant is definitely worth it

We grow mint in our herb garden solely for this purpose.

How else do you make mojitos?

I guess some people buy store-bought mint?  It's a travesmahockery.

  11. Yeah, since you're truly a beginner, I'd suggest starting off with camping at places that have power.

Most state parks have campsites with water and electric.  The majority of them are designed for RVs but you can rent them for tent camping as well.  Places close to Austin that would help you get your feet wet, are McKinney Falls State Park, Pedernales Falls State Park.  Austin's City Park (Emma Long) also has a loop of I think 13 "utility" camping sites with water and electric.  Lots of these places book up fast in the summer, but they also tend to have some last-minute cancellations.

There are also a couple of LCRA parks on Lake Bastrop that are pretty nice, if small.  Sadly, both Bastrop State Park and Buescher State Park which I LOVED, have both suffered greatly from the Central Texas fires in recent years.  The campsites are still intact, but so much of the forest is gone that it's not the same.

If you did purchase a portable power solution, that obviously opens up even more places for you.  But at first, I don't think you'd need to.
