I know a guy on the paving crew, he posted a blurb to Facebook and he used the word "patchwork" in describing the job.

I work from home most days of the week so I don't put too many miles on my vehicles. Seldom more than 10K per year. Which is why I'm not overly worried about tire wear (or fuel mileage for that matter).
What's more important to me is ride quality while driving normally, and also while towing.

Buried a close friend on Saturday. Drank way too much Primus on Sunday. Eff this week.

Can a pickle made at a restaurant really be labeled as "home made?"

Oh boy, you folks in Fort Worth just scored some big time bbq. Michael is putting out some big time product with his Flores Barbecue bidness.
Impossible. No mention of homemade pickles or tortillas.
By the way, have I mentioned that pickles suck? I think it's mostly because cucumbers suck. Because pickled jalapenos and carrots are delicious.

That would look very cool, cajun.

Very cool, thanks!

A trio. Obviously HiSign got the memo.

Cool thanks all.
Yabr, any "after" pics of your truck with the leveling kit and 33s on it? I really love the ride of my current setup, especially whilst towing, so I don't want to get too far away from it. But then there's that "look" thing, right?
-
Yeah my truck came with 20s and a relatively low profile tire. I'd like to put slightly more aggressive-looking tires with more sidewall on the truck, and I'm planning to level out the front to make some room for that, but am I going to be screwed because the wheel itself is already so big? I don't want anything that's crazy-huge for off-roading because it's on streets 98% of the time, but I do want something that looks a little more truck-ish than what I've currently got.
This isn't my truck, but mine looks almost identical to it.

I loathe pickles and love BBQ too. We're like brothers.

You know the only reason they released a statement is because of the inevitable aggy meltdown. aggy were all over twitter yesterday telling reporters Bru wouldn't count towards 2019 class.
I mean, it's really just so stupid to think he wouldn't, or couldn't, count toward 2019.
These recruiting rankings don't come from the NCAA or the conferences or any official governing body. They come from media outlets and paid subscription-based services. There aren't any RULES that they need to follow for reporting out the recruiting classes and their rankings, which are all pretty meaningless anyway.
To think they'd have to follow some rule to the letter of the law is really, really stupid. You know, morons.

catching up..... wow..... when in rome.....
fyi our local 80s-synthpop/neildiamond cover band Diamond Bag is rehearsing again, with the "promise" of returning to the Lee Harvey battleground in october.
they are probably the only band on this continent that faithfully renders this song.
@MaxHorn's sparkle shirt, plus When In Rome, is definitely a winner. But singing the words "ou Sucks" to Sweet Caroline is really what never goes out of style.

Not that I would ever defend aggy, but did the Big 12 figures from 2011 and 2017 both include T3 rights?
If one wants to demonstrate mental superiority, one must cover all bases.
32 minutes ago, sushihorn said:We retained tier 3 rights for LHN. I really doubt the rest of the conference threw theirs into the kitty without Texas contributing and ours are the most valuable by a considerable margin anyway.
The B12 conference has never included Tier3 rights in its annual conference distribution. All B12 member schools negotiate and manage their own Tier3 rights separately and individually.
For Texas, the Tier3 rights are covered in the LHN and IMG deals. The other 9 schools handle their own in various ways. Kansas has always had very valuable Tier3 rights, and in fact was making significantly more than Texas on those Tier3 rights until the LHN deal was struck.

You know, I normally defend you around here when you get crosswise with the rest of the local folk, but now it seems you're just desperate to be mean...

Didn't it change names, and then change back? Or was it just the once? Been going there since my college days in the early 90s, and to this day, I still refer to it as Draught Horse or Draught House with pretty much equal regularity.

I haven't been to Leroy and Lewis yet either. Looking at the online menu, seems like brisket is only available on Saturday, is that correct?

Craft pilsners like Live Oak Pilz aren't too heavy for lake or river beer. In fact they're perfect. I'm not surly1% or anything but to me it's worth it to drink a tasty lager instead of macroswill. Although I will occasionally down some Banquet Beer, it's what my dad drank and reminds me good times.
Anyway, on weekends I can easily get up to 8 beers in a day. M-Th I typically don't drink at all unless we're going out for dinner or drinks after work or something.

Ever have one of those why the fuck didnt i think of that...been thinking about how i was going to attach the studs to the ceiling when i star framing
Was concerned about the curve of the roof and how i would get lumber to bend with it(making a header pretty much)
Watched a dudes a video and he just used L brackets to attach studs to metal bus ribs...K.I.S.S. WHY DIDNT I THINK OF THAT
Well needless to say the framing will go quicker now when i restart...Yup, that should work. If you wanted a little more rigidity that a header would provide, you could also run aluminum angle or u-channel and score it every so often to make it bend to your desired contour. But brackets should work. When connecting wood to metal in the ceiling, walls, and floor, leave the metal bits slotted to account for differences in thermal expansion rates, as well as shifting while driving. And when connecting metal to metal I'd advise using rivets rather than screws.
Looking forward to seeing pics of your future progrss!

In the olden days, for lake beer I needed cans and the selection was pretty limited. Pacifico or Modelo were my typical choices.
But we're living in a Golden Age of delicious craft beer in cans. My choices for lake day beers are nearly limitless. It's great to be alive!

I’m all for a hybrid or all electric F150 if it can tow 8-10k and have a decent payload.
For a full electric, I suspect the towing RANGE would be the problem. It's not unusual for me to tow over 300 miles in a day, and right now I think only a couple of Tesla models have that kind of range, and that's while NOT towing a load. But a hybrid would definitely have some potential.
28 minutes ago, Anton Chigurh said:Yeah, no desire for full electric, but hybrid, absolutely.
Totally agree.
22 minutes ago, Pato del Muerto said:First blush, I’d guess an electric f150 would be best used as a fleet vehicle, where they stay local and get charged at the fleet hub at night, or at the homes of those issues fleet vehicles. Like at&t or time warner or similar.
Good point, that's a great use case. City of Cedar Park has a large fleet of mostly pickups. I could see switching those out one day for electric vehicles.
16 minutes ago, PvilleStang said:Just throw a generator in the bed, and charge as you go. Or tow an site generator and get a quicker charge.
Ha!
Or better yet, build an on-board gasoline generator motor right into the engine compartment and have it charge the battery bank consistently whilst driving!

Man that looks like some miserable driving conditions.
Anyway, glad to see Fred and his team win, even if not under ideal circumstances.
